How do you feel about Iraq?

It's not available online I think I might have a print copy back home in KY, but I'm in Washington, D.C. right now.

If you were paying attention, it was fairly easy to see through the bullshit. *wrote an editorial against the war for the Kentucky Kernel back in aught-3*

How do you feel about Iraq?

How dare him blame the US for the war in Iraq! He should blame the U.S.government, not the U.S. itself. In all fairness, the US people were pretty heavily in favor of the war back in '03, too. That was CronoT. How the hell did I become C-Bacon's biggest defender? Canada sucks. Whew, that's better.

This was a fun quote that was sadly overlooked Though I'm not sure what that last part means I was trying to figure that out too.

    Pictures I Like

  8. I know this is a wildpegasus thread and, as such, it's shit. But I'll respond nonetheless. The United States, at least, is more religious than it has ever been at any time in its history and more fundamentalist/conservative in its religion than any time in its history. See, for example, this book.

How do you feel about Iraq?

But his point was cogent. He was arguing that the "removal of Saddam/saving the Iraqis from a dictator" justification for the war was a canard and, if that was the goal, it could have ostensibly been accomplished back in '91 (saving a lot of lives in the process). He certainly never argued that the US invaded at the request of the Shi'ites. I'm not saying that such a sentiment (save the poor Iraqis!) didn't exist in the war's planning, but that, if it did, history would seem to suggest that it wasn't that important. Because I wasn't arguing with your premise. You said that you didn't know where he got that number from, so I showed you. I never said that it didn't. Ann Coulter attacks 9/11 widows

ADAM CAROLLA: Ann Coulter, who was suppose to be on the show about an hour and a half ago, is now on the phone, as well. Ann? ANN COULTER: Hello. CAROLLA: Hi Ann. You’re late, babydoll. COULTER: Uh, somebody gave me the wrong number. CAROLLA: Mmm… how did you get the right number? Just dialed randomly — eventually got to our show? (Laughter in background) COULTER: Um, no. My publicist e-mailed it to me, I guess, after checking with you. CAROLLA: Ahh, I see. COULTER: But I am really tight on time right now because I already had a — CAROLLA: Alright, well, get lost. [Crosstalk in the studio] CAROLLA: I’m tight on time, too, and I don’t have time for bitches, so let’s move on. […] [inaudible] Tight on time… Go f- yourself, you’re tight on time. Female co-host (Teresa Strasser or Sarah Silverman?): I say this to Ann Coulter. Why the long face? (Laughter) CAROLLA: Listen, you bitch, don’t call in an hour and a half late and tell me you’re “tight on time.” Of course you’re tight on time, you’re an hour and a half God-damn late calling into a radio show. Just take your stupid book and go pitch it to your stupid cable outlets.

Oh snap. DEY SUIN' THE VICE PRESIDENT

Hey, coherent post. Kudos. But I disagree here. I don't know about Roberts or Alito, but I think Clarence Thomas in the only one who will truly grab his ankles for Bush. Read Justice Scalia's dissent in Hamdi v. Rumsfeld (joined by Justice Stevens~!). Brings a tear to my eye. Seriously. http://supreme.justia.com/us/542/507/case.html

Yeah, it's a longshot. But Kyl is under 50% (which is bad for an incumbent) and I'm sure that his name rec is way higher than Pederson's this early in the cycle.

How do you feel about Iraq?

No, I don't think we are anymore. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6010200370.html http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/art...65&lb=hmpg2 He's right on. If you excluded Kurds, I'm certain the numbers would be even more abysmal. I think you're both a little murky on this point. There was a Shi'ite uprising (and a Kurdish uprising) AFTER the defeat of Hussein's invasion of Kuwait. George (H.W.) Bush did encourge Iraqis to "take matters into their own hands", and then, from my understanding, didn't do anything to help out once the rebellion began (he may have even worked actively against it). As a result, you had a whole, whole bunch of dead Shi'ites and Kurds as Saddam ruthlessly put down the rebellion.
