Atheists identified as America’s most distrusted minority
Big Ol' Smitty replied to Dimensions's topic in General Chat
I just put a job application in the other day to teach at a Catholic High School. The application asked for my religion. I wanted to be honest, so I listed "agnostic". The school secretary gave me a very odd look when I gave her the application. -

BTW, this was the exact same line of reasoning I used for my vote. The fact that you spent the time to read Eddie Winslow's "humorous" post is troubling to me. I'm telling you, there are some gems in those posts from time to time--when he talked about how cops couldn't catch him in his Escalade, for example.

OMG CONSPIRACY Calm down. Slayer's gonna win anyway. There's actually a Zionist plot to hold him down, I think. We have a good deal of Illuminati posting here, as well.

UAE-based company pulls out of deal to take over US ports

How much of the national debt is actually owed to foreigners, though? My understanding has been that its a pretty small percentage, but most of the info I have about it is rather old. A little less than 1/2, from what I've read. Mostly foreign central banks. -
On second thought, I guess the religiosity of the government in the movie does make it sort of right-wing.
-
Honestly, there was nothing inherently "right-wing" about the government in V for Vendetta, other than that it was controlled by the Conservative Party (an actual British party, and the one that was in power when the graphic novel was written). That type of stuff could happen under a left-wing government, too. If the movie wanted to be left-wing it would have made some reference to economic inequality. As it stands, I would say that V is more of a libertarian or an anarchist (or even a conservative--he wants to go back to the way things were before) than a liberal or a left-winger.

Ice Cube to star in urban remake of Welcome Back, Kotter

They're actually making a remake of "Blossom" with an all Native American cast. -
It's weird that Popick got such a high verbal score. His grammar and spelling on here are usually pretty terrible.

Are we currently witnessing the complete and total decay of society?

We pay $560 for a pretty decent 2BR/2BA apartment (so I only pay $280/mo). Nice area of town and everything.
