Wasn't my point at all. I just thought it was kind of a funny & weird story and I actually hit enter before putting a silly subtitle.

I didn't even know about Pelosi. I think she should be punished accordingly, though. Delay seems to have many more violations and actually changed the rules to get off the hook.
-
Zing. I guess that's a stab at Clinton? Hell if I know--I am definitely not a Clinton fan, though.
-
^^ Hope the GOP decision makers take this attitude.

I agree. Their first album was pretty great. And that first song "Push"--also great, imho.

Florida Bill Would Allow Students To Sue Teachers

All of my profs were bright enough to keep their own views out of their teaching quite well. I had a polisci prof who was quite conservative, I think. We had a class vote to watch a movie and the class voted for Fahrenheit 9/11. He wouldn't let us watch it, though. No one filed suit. -
We're only liberal with our TV, music, & movies. Otherwise, we're quite conservative.

Florida Bill Would Allow Students To Sue Teachers

Remember Republicans who would have mocked all the boo-hooing, and made the valid point that coddling these kids in college would come back and bite them in the ass when they had to face the real world? I miss those days. These asshats want to give them the power to sue if they’re called upon to explain their opinions or if their feelings are hurt in class. Wouldn’t all of these frivolous lawsuits cost the state a lot of money? The mirror has two faces, as it were. If this idea catches on, I hope that conservative profs enjoy teaching the merits of gun control, boning up on Marxist theory, etc. And, for the life of me, I can’t imagine a college-level biology program that would be comfortable for a creationist--seeing as how evolution is the foundational theory of modern biology. So we get a big, intrusive government spending tax money to punish their enemies. Congrats, Florida voters. -
I wasn't really posting the picture as evidence. His voting record is what makes him Republican-lite. Bankruptcy. SS Privatization. The way he constantly bashes Ds and ball-sucks Rs.

How the U.S. Uses Globalization to Cheat
Big Ol' Smitty replied to NoCalMike's topic in Current Events
Thank you. All of the strongest economies in the world had a period where they were quite protectionist. These developing countries are forced into liberalizing their economies and into competing with the big boys without the cushion of economic nationalism that the same big boys used during their own development. -
