So what does this really mean? That the people responsible won't be prosecuted as vigorously or what? Or is it just a matter of semantics?
-
Well do you think Bush might divulge a little bit more information this time as to how this 100million is going to be spent, or is it just another "please sign this check without having a clue where it is going" campaigns? Probably more of the same. *Edit* How the fuck do you lose $9 billion?

Let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet. I am in favor of the war and I am very pleased that the elections turned out well. However, we still gots a looong way to go. For example, there is going to be a vote soon to appropriate another $100 billion for Iraq. And although I am in favor of the war because of the good potential outcome, I understand the views of those who are opposed to the war. I think that too many on the pro-war side see the war issue in very black and white terms. "You're against the war so you're pro-Saddam and anti-democracy!" No. Being something of an idealist myself, I think that the potential of bringing democracy to Iraq is a worthy goal. However, I recognize the many failures and "negatives" so far: -misleading WMD and Al-Qaeda rhetoric -lack of security -civilian death -lack of troops -disbanding the Iraqi army -reliance upon Ahmed Chalabi -torture -no post-war plan -oil -Halliburton -empirically, we're probably not any safer -the hypocrisy of invading an authoritarian regime to bring freedom while maintaining close ties to Saudi Arabia, China, Uzbekistan, etc. ...and so on. Objective cost/benefit analysis might even lean me more against the war. However, I think that freeing Iraq and, hopefully, making life better for Iraqis in the long run is a huge, altruistic plus. In conclusion, this wacky liberal gives a cautious "yay!" in the wake of January 30.

I never got to change MikeSC's stuff after I won my bet with him. He ran away like a little bitch-child. -

Why not work on an original thought, first? -=Mike Okay, I'll come up with some... Um...George Soros funds the DailyKos blog! Uh...Canada has a higher rate of violent crime than the US! Wait, someone already came up with those ideas...

Hey, I should be able to change your name and stuff.

Vern Gagne, Zogby didn't have anything to do with the exit polls. And your insinuation that the exit polls were phoney--prove it.
-
Dat hurt my feewings.
-
...and I'll show you what intellect doesn't look like. See above. 30 year old man trolling Current Events folder of internet wrestling forum calling people "insufferable twats".
-
As for Zogby, he's the idiot who predicted a Kerry win based the phoney exit polls.
-
"Neocon fundy" is kind of an oxymoron. You're getting your conserva-hate words all mixed up.
-
Hold on a minute. Let's go look at the polls, taken on election eve, from COMMIE NEWZ: Non white women, not shown here, was very heavily tilted towards Kerry, but only counted as 6% of the vote. Those polls actually weren't conducted by CNN. They were conducted by an independent polling firm, Mitofsky. And that is probably the adjusted exit poll data. At one point in the evening, CNN adjusted the data on their website to conform to the "official" vote results.

They're also a good example of why you shouldn't privatize social security.

Are Christians supposed to use that sort of language?

yeah...seems nice....sounds familiar....sorta like...HITLER!!!!!!!! Hitler seemed like a raving cult leader to me. More like Howard Dean than George Bush. Bush seems more like Lionel Hutz. He acts like he's spouting words of wisdom, even when he isn't. We brought freedom and democracy to Iraq! Except for when I say freedom, I mean lots of explosions, and when I say democracy, I mean civil war.

Inauguration funds: A better use?
Big Ol' Smitty replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
About the humvee armor... I thought I saw something by the company that armors them that production capacity was not a problem but it was just that the military simply wasn't asking for it. I'll see if I can find it. -
is this kkk?

I don't understand why it's so fashionable to be a liberal. What's so hip about high taxes and a big plodding bureaucracy? Because when the rapture comes and all you conservatives go up to Jesus, we got dibs on all your stuff. -
I don't think people should be able to screw animals because it's not really consensual... and it's fricking horrible.

Nuts with balls. -
So? I'll be the one to say it: there isn't a sports star that is alive today, or who has lived in times past, who warrants being included in a list of the 100 greatest Americans. If for no other reason than the top 100 should go to people who actually changed the nation (if not the world) in a more profound way than playing a fucking game. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just a hopeless jock-sniffer. No, I'm right and anyone who thinks differently is stupid, gay, and deserves to die.
