Probably because people are either sick of him, or they can see right through his take-down-big-business-fight-fight-fight cheerleading and see that he won't really get anything done. Also, he got his ass waxed by Dick Cheney on national television. Um, Edwards probably polls better than any other candidate in the general election. Better than Obama? How? In head to head polls against Republican candidates, Edwards outperforms Obama. Do I need to draw a picture?

Obama seems to have basically caught up with Hillary nationally, and seems poised to lay the smack down in NH and SC. BOLD PREDICTION: Kentucky will be a red state in 2008 (new Kentucky polls out today...McCain and Huckabee poll very well here, Romney...not so much).

You don't have to be a squishy moderate to "unite" people. Look at Reagan. Hardcore conservative, but was able to win over tons of Democrats--so many that even today political analysts call blue collar white men "Reagan Democrats."

To be fair, Obama does have a pretty solid record of working in a bipartisan way as a state senator, and in his short term in the US Senate.

Obama has surged ahead in at least two New Hampshire polls I've seen today.

I've kind of decided to support Obama, but part of me would kind of like to see Hillary win just to see people like Czech's head asplode.
