Having Doc Connors somehow finally become the Lizard after all the teases, and Kraven show up to capture the "big game", leaving Spidey to deal with both messes, could work. You COULD do the Vulture in there too, but 3 villains is overkill. Only other thing I could suggest is have Vulture and Spider-Man getting into it for the first half, and that lures Kraven after them both for the second half and climax. Meanwhile we get a side story Doc Connors turns into the Lizard (just once in the movie) and Spidey/Peter helps to cure him. By the end of the movie they think they have the cure, but before the movie ends he starts changing back, setting up the fifth one. I also wouldn't mind seeing Chameleon in one of the movies. Always liked him.

This is a pretty cool concept that I just caught wind of. I'd be down at some point in the future, only setback is that even on the nights I'm not out and about, I work until 9pm EST. -
For my 3rd pick, I'm going to go with something that I know I could easily take later in the draft, but it's one of my all-time favorites and a definite must-have, so I'm not going to risk it... Sleepaway Camp, 1983 Some of you have heard of it, some of you haven't. When it first came out it got tossed into the mix of "another horror movie at camp=Friday The 13th ripoff", but it's so much more than that. The acting is what you'd expect from an early 80's horror effort, but this movie has the perfect creepy overtones to it throughout the whole movie (from the cast/victims being much younger than usual horror movie fare, not to mention thinks like the cook or the girl counselors infatuation with the old camp owner) that set you up for the big twist at the end. If you've seen it, you've never forgotten it, and if you haven't seen it, I strongly recommned that you do. Excellent movie.

War Games, in all its lengthly glory, is up in GCF now, so the show should be up for viewing soon.

War Games is DONE! Tony, you're going to want to keep it in two parts, as it will no doubt get cut off otherwise.

WAR GAMES CONT'D! The chants go unheard by La Cucaracha as he applies a blatant choke on Zack, squeezing the air from his throat. Landon then jumps up and dishes out some more stomps. Backing away, Landon calls Faqu on, and the big man comes over and crushes Zack with a big splash, knocking the wind out of him. Scanning the ring, Landon starts to play General, calling on his troops to wear down the three fan favorites as best they can. COLE Landon's barking out orders, and like good soliders Cucaracha Internacional is dismantling Team Sommers! Ordering Faqu to go after Zack again, Landon has his Samoan henchman pull the prep up to his feet and send him to the corner, then follow up with a charge that culminates in a corner splash! Nathaniel Black has Sly Sommers draped over the middle rope, sitting on his back and forcing his throat down on the ropes, choking him out! Lastly, Leon Rodez is being worked over by James Blonde, who lifts him up for a back suplex that gets added impact when Landon simultaneously drops Rodez with a neckbreaker! COACH The well-oiled machine is doing their thing! Viva La Cucaracha! James Cone watches on with that smug smile visible on his face, looking quite pleased that Landon and company are handling the job quite well. Seeing Black choking Sly out, Cone goes over and peers through the cage wall, staring through the fence and his foe, who looks up at him with glassy eyes. Cone then slams his hand against the fence and backs away, silently celebrating that his rival is being decimated before his very eyes. COLE Cone and his crew are getting a little too confident. They might have the edge now, but we still have Bohemoth and Todd Cortez rounding out Sly's squad. COACH Please, Mikey Cole. You're talking about four men who are used to working well together, combined with a mastermind in James Cone. On the other side, you've got guys who have been enemies just as long, if not longer than they've been friends! COLE Well, it is true that Zack and Sly haven't always seen eye to eye... COACH ...yeah, and Zack and Bo JUST GOT DONE FEUDING WITH EACH OTHER, nevermind that Todd Cortez came to the OAOAST originally to maim Zack Malibu, AND he was the guy who broke Leon Rodez's neck IN A WAR GAMES! Coach's tirade has validity to it, but before he gets more heated he's cut off by the timeclock, as the seconds tick down towards some aid entering for Sly's slapdash crew. :10 :09 :08 :07 :06 COLE Either Bohemoth or Todd Cortez will be the next to enter, and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to deal with either of them at this point! Bo and Todd converse, and Bo starts cracking his neck. As the buzzer sounds and the door is opened by the referee, the crowd spring to their feet as the Metrosexual Monster becomes the next man to enter the cage! BUFFER Now entering the War Games...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HEEEEEEEEEEEE-MOTH! COLE It's Bo! Bo is in! All together, Landon and company stop what they're doing and charge, looking to cut the big man off before he can mount an offense. Black is the first to charge, but he's caught and drilled with a standing spinebuster! James Blonde comes next, but he's taken by the head and hurled into the cage, leaving him sprawled on the canvas after he bounces off the mesh! Landon backs up and moves into the other ring, leaving Faqu and Bo to stare each other down. The bloody, sweaty Samoan sneers, figuratively blowly smoke out of his nose as he and Bo go eye to eye! Faqu rocks him with a punch, but Bo sucks it up and fires off one of his own! Faqu absorbs that and fires off again, but Bo takes the hit and then fires off another one of his own! Faqu then hits a throat thrust and goes for a headbutt, but Bo knocks his hand away, then fires off right hands that stagger Faqu to the ropes! Bohemoth sends him across the ring, and when Faqu comes back towards him, Bo scoops him up and slams him halfway to hell with a vicious spinebuster that whips the crowd into a frenzy! COLE Bohemoth is cleaning house! With three of the four down, Bo scours the ring, finally finding Landon Maddix standing in the center of the other ring, away from the carnage! Bo smiles, finally having Landon all to himself, which frightens the former World Champion! Landon begs off, then goes and starts climbing the cage wall, trying to get away from Bo...but a recovered Sly Sommers reaches up and grabs Landon by the ankle, pulling him back down! Sly nails a right hand that spins Landon around, right into a right hand by Leon Rodez, who pinballs Landon over to Zack, who hits a third right before sending Landon over to Bo, who stuffs him into a standing headscissors! Setting Landon up for a powerbomb, Bo goes to lift, but gets cut off by a shot to the back from Faqu, who has recovered from the spinebuster! Blonde and Black are up as well, and now it's an even four on four war here in the War Games! COACH Four on four. Sly, Zack, Bo and Leon better enjoy it while they can! Everyone breaks off into pairs; Faqu with Bohemoth, Blonde with Leon, Landon with Sly, and the two men who started us off tonight, Black and Zack. Bo gets hurled back into ring number 2 by Faqu, while Landon tries to ram Sly's head into the cage, only for Sly to counter and send CI's fearless leader into the steel instead! Leon avoids a shoulderblock in the corner by leapfrogging over Blonde, and then takes him to send him across the corner, where Zack has Black ready to go. Zack sends Black out, but Black reverses it...so Malibu adapts quickly by using the momentum to hit a leaping lariat at the oncoming Blonde! Zack turns and Black charges, so Zack elevates him over with a back bodydrop that gets followed up with a seated splash from the middle rope by Leon, as The Usual Suspects work more double-team magic on the hated Englishman! The fans celebrate wildly as the face team starts to regain their hold on things, but that's when the timer starts counting down again, which will bring in the last man (and namesake) for Team Cone. :10 :09 :08 :07 :06 :05 COLE The seconds tick away, and we're about to see the Team Captain, James Cone, make his way into the War Games. :04 :03 :02 :01 BUFFER Now entering the War Games, and rounding out the lineup for Team Cone...the Team Captain, JAAAAAAAAAAAAMES COOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE! The buzzer sounds, and Cone steps into the ring, brushing past the brawling Bo and Faqu. Sommers sees Cone enter and moves through the ropes towards the other ring, but Cone catches him upon entry and starts beating on the already weakened Sly. Backing him into the ropes, Cone shoots him across, but falls short on a dropkick attempt, then gets taken down with a swinging neckbreaker from Sommers! Sly is all over Cone, who is reeling from the blow, but ultimately able to push him off. Cone backs himself into the corner, and Sly charges, but eats a boot from Cone, who then takes Sly and shoves him into the corner, ramming his shoulder into the post! As Sly comes out of the corner, Cone pounds on the shoulder, then applies a hammerlock and shoves Sly back into the turnbuckles, looking to injure Sly enough to where he'll be the one to quit for his team! COLE It's going to be a long minute before Todd Cortez gets in the ring. Sly's team is fighting hard, but they're all battle worn! COACH Cortez is lucky he's the last guy, not because he'll be able to turn the tide, but because by the time he gets in the ring, it's gonna be mere seconds before it's over. Sly, Zack...none of these guys can take much more! Over in the other ring, James Blonde sneaks up behind Zack and locks in a sleeper, but Zack manages to turn to the side and elbow his way free, then apply one of his own before dropping The Trendsetter with...a Trendsetter! Malibu's patented sleeperhold drop draws a loud pop from the crowd, but as he comes up he eats a roaring lariat from Nathaniel Black, who follows up by stomping him down! Meanwhile, over in the corner, Leon works Landon over with knife edge chops, and as he leads him out of the corner, Landon drops down and goes low, then plants Leon's head into the ring with a DDT! COLE Landon Maddix again targeting the neck of Leon Rodez, spiking him with that move. COACH History tends to repeat itself, Michael, and I think Landon Maddix would like nothing more than for it to happen tonight! On the floor, Cortez paces, watching the destruction helplessly as it's not his time yet. Landon takes note of his reluctant occasional ally and badmouths him, telling him that he made his choice. Cortez can only fume as Landon badmouths him, then watch as Faqu drops Bo with a Samoan drop, only to have Landon follow up by spiking his knee into the Metrosexual Monster's head! Cone, who has Sly on his knees and trapped in an armbar, leads his rival to his feet and sends him towards Faqu, who scoops him up as well and floors him with a Samoan Drop! COLE That savage just laid out two guys, and over in the other ring, neither Zack nor Leon are in a good way either! Malibu's face is pressed against the mesh, the little links of chain stabbing into his skin as Black pushes his boot into the back of Zack's head, pushing it against the wall of the cage! Leon starts to recover from his DDT, but a rabbit lariat from Blonde puts him back down, only to be dragged up and trapped in a Cobra Clutch, causing him to flail his arms and try to break free before he's snapped to the canvas! COACH Illegally Blonde, baby! Leon Rodez has got to be wishing he didn't come out and help Zack this past Thursday night! The crowd grows hostile as Team Cone shows their dominance. Cone remains unbloodied, causing him to stand out from the rest of his team. Seeing Sly starting to stir, he rushes over and delivers a hard soccer kick that knocks him back down, and it's at that point that the seconds on the clock start to tick away for the last time, causing an incredibly anxious Todd Cortez to jog in place as he prepares to channel his pent up rage. COLE TEN SECONDS! COACH About thirty seconds away from a loss! :10 :09 :08 :07 :06 :05 :04 :03 :02 :01 BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT~! YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~! BUFFER Now entering the War Games, the last participant...THE URBAN LEGEND, TODDDDDDDD CORRRRRRRRRRRTEZZZZZZZZZZZZ! As soon as the door opens, Cortez is through it, nailing a charging Cone with a right hand that floors him! Landon, ever the coward, orders Faqu over, but a series of kicks to the leg hobble the big man, only for Todd's leg to get caught...but he follows up with an enzugiri that staggers Faqu, then takes him off his feet with a sweep kick! Landon backs into the corner, but Cortez is RIGHT THERE, stalking a man that Cortez has carried hatred for in both the SWF and the OAOAST. Cortez takes Landon by the neck and biels him out of the corner, causing Landon to cry out in pain! COLE Still think that looks like a man on the verge of victory, Coach? Cortez tears off his wifebeater and wraps it around Landon's neck, bringing the fans to their feet! Landon's eyes bug out as he tries to take the shirt off of his throat, but it's of no use, as Cortez has a death grip on it! Luckily for Landon, Faqu gets up and strikes Cortez from behind, then traps him in a full nelson, holding him for his boss! Maddix gets up and throws the shirt aside, charging Cortez, who kicks up and drives both feet into his chest! Landon falls back, while Todd kicks a leg back and strikes Faqu low, once again using the "soft spot" to catch the big man off guard! Todd then whips Faqu to the ropes, then hits the side ropes, connecting with a HOLLOW POINT on the big man and dropping him down! COLE He just took Faqu down with a Hollow Point! The savage Samoan HAS to be feeling some semblance of pain now, as he rolls under the ropes, between the cage and the ring. Cortez gets up from his valiant attempt of clearing the ring of his foes, but eats a quick thrust superkick from Cone that knocks him out! Back in the other ring, Black sends Zack to the ropes, but rather than rebound, Zack hangs on...and when Black charges, Zack catches him with a hotshot! Falling to the mat, Black tries to pick himself up, but as he rests on all fours Zack hits the ropes, using Black's back as a springboard to launch himself into the opposite ring, taking Cone out with a flying bodypress! COLE FROM RING TO RING, AIR MALIBU FLIES HIGH~! After wiping out his former friend, Malibu gets on his shoulders and starts throwing elbows from the mount! Cone, the second most healthy man in the match behind Cortez, rather easily throws the weaker Malibu off of him and gets up, although Zack is right there to try SCHOOL'S OUT...ONLY FOR IT TO GET CAUGHT~! Cone holds Zack's foot at bay, causing him to have to remain balanced on one leg...and that causes him to not see Sly Sommers burst upwards with a SCHOOL'S OUT OF HIS OWN, paying tribute to his friend and mentor~! COACH Are you KIDDING me!? COLE A School's Out by Sly Sommers just shattered James Cone's jaw! Sly and Zack nod to each other in tribute, then turn to see Faqu coming to his feet, growling. The bloody beast is a picture of menace as he comes up slowly, with a devilish look in his eyes...and that's when Bohemoth, fresh to his feet, charges forward, spearing Faqu against the door AND SENDING THE BOTH OF THEM THROUGH IT AND TO THE FLOOR~! COACH YO~! COLE BOHEMOTH AND FAQU JUST WENT THROUGH THE CAGE! The cage door swings back violently, fortunately not flying off its hinges and into the crowd, as Faqu and Bohemoth lay motionless on the floor! Immediately, the referees call for help, and other refs and trainers run out to evaluate the damage done to the two superstars. Zack and Sly don't believe it, but then a well placed knee to the back sends Sly through the ropes and nearly out to the floor, as Landon Maddix has recovered! Zack turns around, but catches a thumb to the eye, giving Landon time to reach into his boot and pull a certain something out... ...A METAL SPIKE~! COLE Oh c'mon, you've got to be kidding me! COACH You seem surprised, Mikey Cole! Did you actually think that a veteran of War Games, a former Wildcard at that, wouldn't come prepared!? Malibu's vision is blurred, but as Landon cocks his arm back, it's grabbed by Leon, who reaches in from between the two rings to stop him from stabbing Zack! COLE Leon Rodez to save the day! He just saved Zack from being spiked! COACH Yeah, and the last time he saved Zack it worked out so well for him, all those months in a neck brace! Leon won't let go, but he's then jumped from behind by Black, who drags him off of Landon and back into the ring! Black hooks Landon and suplexes him over, but Landon escapes and falls back, then catches a charging Blonde with a boot and delivers a combination DDT/neckbreaker two Landon's two allies, taking them both out! Landon swings at Zack with the spike, but Zack catches the arm and brings him to the canvas with an armbar, trying to get the spike out of his grip! Zack and Landon struggle, but a running kick from Cone knocks Zack off of Landon! The spike rolls out of Landon's hand and stops at Cone's feet, so he reaches down and picks it up...but as he bends over to get it a recovered Cortez makes his presence felt, stuffing Cone between his legs and then leaping over his back, spiking the captain of the opposing team with a RIOT ACT PLUS~! COLE I think it's safe to say that James Cone will not be the one submitting for his team, because he is KNOCKED OUT~! COACH Really, is he? I was unaware. The crowd roars as Cortez rolls away from his foe, who slumps to the canvas after having had his head spiked. Meanwhile, Landon and Zack come up to their feet trading blows, only for Landon to nail another thumb to the eye! Zack backs off again, but as Landon comes forward Zack goes for a SCHOOL'S OUT...but it's caught! Landon quickly hoists Zack up on his shoulders, and attempts to make Zack GO TO SLEEP...but as he throws Zack down into his knee Zack catches his leg, uses a dragon screw, and segues into a figure four leglock on Landon Maddix that brings the crowd to a fever pitch! COLE AMAZING~! What a counter to the Go To Sleep, and now Landon Maddix is in trouble! Landon squirms, trying to free himself...but as he's trapped in the leglock, Sommers comes off the top with the SUPERSLY SPLASH, crushing the braggadocio superstar under his weight! Sly rolls off, his tender ribs a little sore after that, while Landon limply tries to free himself. Cortez gets up and stands over Landon, looking down at him, and then notices something nearby, laying on the mat. COACH What's he...oh no. Oooooh no. Cortez goes and picks up the spike, the same weapon that Landon had brought into the match, and stands over Landon as he's trapped in the figure four. Helpless, Landon begs for mercy, while Cortez looks out to the crowd, wondering if he should give it to him. Egged on by the fans, Cortez drops to his knees and starts jabbing the spike into Landon's forehead, creating a gush of blood that covers his face! COLE Todd Cortez is exerting years of anger and frustration right here, right now! Landon screams in pain, slamming his hands on the canvas, and finally yells in surrender, shouting "STOP! STOP! I QUIT!" as loud as he can muster! Distracted by his own ferocity, Cortez doesn't hear the bell or the elated fans responding to it, and has to be pried off of Landon by the referee, who warns him that the contest has ended! COLE They did it! Five men, never a cohesive unit before, just defeated Landon Maddix's personal dynasty, enlisted by James Cone! COACH All it took was a metal spike. COLE A metal spike that Landon Maddix brought into the ring! He sought revenge for the loss nearly two years ago, but in a twist of fate, poetic justice reigned supreme here tonight! Broken and bloodied, the four men still in the ring huddle up and embrace, as Michael Buffer makes the official announcement. BUFFER Ladies and gentlemen your winners of the War Games...the team of SLY SOMMERS, ZACK MALIBU, TODD CORTEZ, BOHEMOTH and LEEEEEEEEEON ROOOOOOOOOOOODEZZZ! With the match over, the winning team hop down to the floor, going over to check on Bo, who is being tended to by the trainers. Hobbled by his actions earlier, Bo breaks away from the support of the OAOAST staff and hugs his teammates, happy to have done his part as they became victorious. COLE An emotional scene here tonight as these five men united, and put their pasts behind them for the greater good. James Cone is just now coming to after that Riot Act Plus. Nathaniel Black and James Blonde probably don't know their own names. Faqu can't even SAY his own name, and Landon Maddix is in a very bad way, all by his own doing! COACH An ingrate. That's what that Cortez is, an ingrate! You think that this was really the end, Michael Cole? C'mon! COLE I don't think it's the end of anything at all, Coach. In fact, I think War Games, if anything, kicked off a war rather than ended one! You can be we'll be hearing from both sides this week on HeldDOWN~! Sly, Malibu, Bo, Cortez and Leon all head up the ramp. Groggy and in need of a warm shower and a good night's rest, the popular quintet head to the back, turning one last time and raising each other's arms in victory, as fireworks go off in the arena, showering them with red, white and blue sparks! COLE The colors of America, the colors of the OAOAST, showering the arena here tonight as Sly Sommers rallied his friends together tonight, and had it pay off. Those five men are getting a checkmark in the win column tonight, and as for us...we're out of here! Thank you so much for joining us, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Michael Cole, for The Coach, and we'll see you later this week on HeldDOWN~! FADE OUT.
-
Will do, sir. I'll get to work on it later tonight, and tomorrow is a day off (woot!) so I should be good with finishing. If I hit a snag I'll PM you.
-
No worries, I can pick up on it after work tonight.
-
Going to see 311 with Snoop Dogg and Fiction Plane (fronted by Sting's son) in a few weeks. It's my yearly 311 excursion. Going to see Paramore for the third time in August, they're playing with Jack's Mannequin (which is basically the new name of Something Corporate) and Phantom Planet. I've seen SC before as well and they were solid, so I expect the same from JM.
-
Gauntlet added, and it sets something big up for the Bash, so run, hurry, and read!
-
I'll have the Gauntlet in by night's end, promise. We were shorthanded the last few days and I didn't get much net time.

Matched up against the most brutal weapon in La Cucaracha's arsenal, Zack walks forward, standing nose to nose with his Samoan rival...and then drills him with a headbutt, catching the beast with his guard down! COLE That's one way to kick this off! Faqu covers his face, but Zack grabs ahold of him and pulls him close, then rocks him with a kneelift before hitting the ropes! As he rebounds, Faqu takes a swing at him, but Zack ducks under it, then comes off the far side and stuns Faqu with a clothesline. The Wrecking Ball is rocked, but doesn't topple over, even as Zack unloads with hard chops. He takes Faqu and sends him in, but the whip is reversed, only for Zack to deliver a hard kick to Faqu when he drops his head! Zack then takes him by the head and peppers him with forearm shots, drawing blood from the nose of his foe! Faqu shoves Zack away, but Malibu rolls with it and pops back up to his feet...but as he charges in he gets dumped on the canvas with a release uranage by Faqu, who is none too happy at the sight of his own blood staining his hands! COLE Zack started off in a fury, hoping to catch Faqu off guard, but it's only seemed to make the monster madder! Zack stands up, and when he does Faqu hits a blistering roundhouse kick to the ribs, then sets Zack up for a suplex...but Zack slips out and spins Faqu around...only to catch a knee to the gut! Faqu then hits the suplex he was trying for moments ago, and then follows up by pulling Zack up to a seated position and then cracking him across the back with a kick, the sound of his foot smacking Zack on the back echoing through the arena! He pulls Zack up and snapmares him over, and again follows up with a hard kick to the back, laying Zack out. The big man then starts running, hitting the ropes...but as he comes back to attempt more damage to the Preppy One, Zack kips up and floors him with a lariat that drops him down to the mat! COACH YO~! COLE Hard, high-impact shot out of nowhere from Zack! He sprung right off the mat and nailed that madman with a brutal blow! Zack circles the ring, working the crowd as Faqu tries to shake off the effects of the blow. He gets up, but Zack is right on top of things, peppering him with a pair of right hands before bringing him in close. Zack tries to trap him in a butterfly lock, but the intense islander struggles, and elevates Zack over with a backdrop. Malibu lands with a thud, and as soon as he comes up he's barrelled over with a running shoulderblock from the mammoth Faqu! Faqu growls, calling Zack to his feet, but the former World Champion doesn't come up as quickly as he did with that kip-up earlier. As Zack comes up, he's rocked with a chop that knocks him right back down, and almost as soon as he hits canvas, he's dragged up and sent to the corner. Faqu charges in, but Zack kicks both of his legs up and drives his feet across Faqu's cheekbone, driving him back! He then comes and takes Faqu by the head and rams it into the top turnbuckle not once, not twice, not even three times...but a succession of five head rams STILL isn't enough to topple the beast! Zack then takes him by the head and sits up on the ropes, signaling for a tornado DDT...but as he lands, Faqu hits a Northern Lights suplex, putting Zack on the wrong end of a pinning predicament! ONE! T-KICKOUT! There's no bridging out of this one, as the girth of the Samoan is too much for Zack to handle. Faqu gets to his feet and brings Zack up, then dumps him back on the canvas with a fireman's carry. He then stands up and presses his foot down on Zack's throat, causing Zack to kick his legs as he tries to stop the blocking of air! Faqu then comes off the ropes and drops a big leg across the throat, and again goes for the cover! ONE! TW-NO! Zack again finds himself led to his feet, and soon after he's thrown into the corner and struck with a flurry of hard chops which are then capped off by a throat thrust! Zack would be back on the mat if it weren't for the turnbuckles holding him up, but they're actually leaving him prone to the assault, as Faqu charges across the ring and sandwhiches Zack against the turnbuckles! Before he can collapse, Faqu picks Zack up and sets him up on the top rope, then climbs up the ropes himself, rocking the ring as he brings his enemy down from the top with a superplex! COLE Faqu continuing to bring the pain, leaving Zack hurting after that devesating superplex! Faqu gets up, then drops a headbutt on Zack, making sure he stays put as he runs the ropes and comes off with a big splash, flattening Zack under the weight of his huge frame! Once again, Faqu goes for a pin, hooking the leg of the prep and sneering at the referee! ONE! TWO! NO! KICKOUT! Faqu gets up and delivers a primal scream as he takes his foot and stomps Zack hard in the chest, then hits the ropes again and hits a second splash, flattening Zack like a pancake! He pulls Zack up and readies him for a powerbomb...but when Zack his hoisted up onto his shoulders he starts hammering him with right hands, knocking Faqu senseless! Zack gets dropped to his feet, and unloads with a discus clothesline...but Faqu ducks it! As Zack turns back around, Faqu lifts him off his feet and runs him to the corner, slamming him against the turnbuckles! Zack falls to a seated position, and Faqu measures him up, snarling with glee that Malibu is about to be destroyed. He charges in, looking to crush Zack's head against the turnbuckle...but at the last second, Zack moves! COACH He got outta there in the nick of time, Mikey Cole, otherwise his head would've exploded like Gallagher's watermelon! Faqu slams into the turnbuckles, drawing a loud pop from the crowd, who are trying to motivate their hero. Zack comes up to his feet and hits an enzugiri kick to the back of Faqu's head, dropping him to one knee, and then quickly heads out to the apron, springboarding back in with a bulldog on the savage Samoan! ONE! TWO! NO! Faqu is rattled, and Zack looks to keep things that way by planting a kneedrop in his temple, then mounting his shoulders and elbowing the hell out of him! Faqu, whose blood was already spilt earlier with that headbutt, has his nose shifted from left to right as Malibu drives the points of his elbows across his face, only to be thrown off. Zack gets up and charges, but finds himself regretting it as Faqu scoops him up across his shoulders and then falls back, crushing Zack with a brutal Samoan drop! COLE Samoan drop by Faqu, and Zack is down again! COACH You know Michael, in Samoa, they just call that a drop. Zack curls up into a ball, having just had his ribs turned into dust. Faqu gets up and glares at the crowd as he reaches down and drags Zack by the arm to a more open spot in the ring. With Zack laid out, Faqu goes over to the ropes and starts to climb, drawing the interest of everyone in attendance since high-risk is not usually his style! The crowd shows their support, encouraging Zack with a loud chant of his name as he stands up...and as soon as Faqu rises, Zack targets him, running across the ring and driving a knee to the side of his head, nailing him with the ZACK ATTACK~! Faqu falls back, but gets caught from falling by landing against the ropes, only to be sent running while in a daze due to the blow, and caught with a snap powerslam from Zack on the rebound! COACH He just scooped him right up like he was nothing! COLE Zack is on the warpath, but he has to watch how much energy he's expending...he still has a ways to go in this Gauntlet Match! After flooring the sizable Samoan, Zack brings him up and rocks him with a pair of European uppercuts, causing Faqu to teeter but not topple. Zack then unloads with hard strikes, a Malibu trademark, as Faqu is defenseless against the onslaught of palm strikes and then dropped with a roaring elbow! Zack lures Faqu to his feet and then sends him into motion, tossing him into the corner before following up with a ZACK ATTACK II~!, driving both of his knees into the chest of the big man! Zack then whips him to the other side, this time Faqu colliding chest first with the buckles...and a second Zack Attack II follows, with Zack's knees driven into his back! Woozy, the big man staggers back, and Malibu takes him and hoists him up, planting him with a German suplex! ONE! TWO! THR-NO! NO! SHOULDER UP! COLE What an onslaught we just saw there, and it STILL wasn't enough to put that animal down! With sweat beading up on his brow, Zack rolls to his feet and waits on Faqu, crouching in the ready position for his trademark match-ender. As Faqu rises, Zack bursts forward with SCHOOL'S OUT, only to have his foot caught! Faqu throws his leg down and then snatches Zack by the throat, but the persistent prep quickly breaks free by driving an elbow into his cheekbone! Faqu backs away, then fires off a roundhouse kick, but Zack ducks it and uses a quick go-behind, then lifts Faqu again and drops him on the back of his head with a release German that shakes the ring! Holding his head, Faqu fumbles as he tries to stand, and is defenseless this time when Zack makes a second attempt for School's Out, this time cracking the Samoan in the jaw with his trademark superkick! COACH Damn, they musta heard that smack outside! Faqu drops, and Zack drops on top, hooking the leg as the fans count along... ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! COLE He got him! Zack Malibu just scored a victory over Landon Maddix's personal wrecking ball, and now Zack STILL has to face the rest of Cucaracha Internacional! COACH Faqu might not've gotten the win, but he certainly did his part in wearing Zack down for whoever comes out next! Zack gets to his feet and leans on the top rope, watching the aisleway to see who comes out next. Sure enough, it's none other than the leader himself, LANDON MADDIX, who starts coming to the ring slowly. Zack, looking tired and worn, steps back and waves Landon on, eager to lay a hurting on the man who stole the World Title from him just one year ago. Zack keeps an eye on Landon as he approaches the ring...and that's his fatal mistake, as James Blonde nails him from behind with a rabbit lariat! COLE HEY! What the hell is he doing!? COACH So wait...is Landon next, or James Blonde? Maddix is all smiles as he rolls into the ring, while Blonde keeps Zack down by stomping him in the back of the head. At ringside, Nathaniel Black makes his presence felt as well, coming over the railing from the crowd, the same way James Blonde appeared! Hurling Michael Buffer to the floor, Black grabs the steel chair and folds it up, sliding into the ring as Blonde pulls Zack up...and waylays him with a brutal chair shot across the head! COLE Damn him! This was never meant to be a Gauntlet, Coach. This was all a set up! They're trying to take Zack out before this Sunday, before the War Games! CI stands tall, and the numbers grow as Todd Cortez makes his way down to the ring, taking his time and drawing Landon's ire because of it. COLE Todd Cortez out now, and here's a guy who really doesn't want to be doing what he's doing. Zack is pulled up off the canvas again, this time with blood dripping down his face. Black and Blonde hold his arms out, and Faqu gets up and comes off the ropes with a running kick, smashing Zack across the face. Zack drops to the canvas again, and as Black pulls him up, Landon tells him to hold on. Maddix turns to Cortez, who is watching his stablemates, all people he'd rather do without in his life, brutalize the OAOAST's hero. Maddix makes a familiar motion to Cortez, then tells him to grab Zack up off the mat. COLE Landon Maddix wants Zack Malibu out of the way come Sunday, and he wants Todd Cortez to do his dirty work! COACH There's a history there with Zack, both good and bad, but knowing Cortez, this is the last thing he wants to do right now. Cortez refuses to move, not going after Zack despite Landon's wishes. Maddix, growing frustrated, drags Zack over to Cortez and drops him at his feet, ordering him to lay Zack out. Still, Cortez won't move, and that's when the rest of Landon's crew moves in, looking to treat Cortez as they have Zack tonight. Cortez stares Landon down, then quickly moves for Zack, pulling him up and setting him up for a RIOT ACT PLUS~! COLE Damn it, Cortez, don't do it! You don't have to do it! The fans try to call off Todd's intentions as well, as he readies Zack...and then shoves Zack back down to the mat! Incensed, Landon spins Todd around, but Todd winds up taking Landon by the throat and lifting him off his feet, driving him down with an URBAN ASSAULT~! COACH YO~! COLE INSUBORDINATION AT ITS FINEST! Cortez lays out the man he hates more than anything, drawing a huge reaction from the crowd! It's a short-lived freedom celebration however, as the rest of Cucaracha Internacional pounce, pummeling Cortez before he can get up off the canvas! COLE Cortez proved to be defiant tonight, not allowing Landon Maddix to blackmail him into doing his dirty work any longer, but he's paying the price right now! With Landon and Zack both down, it's still a three on one situation, reminiscent of a gang beating from Todd's old neighborhood...and just like in those days more people want to get in on the action, as BOHEMOTH and SLY SOMMERS come charging down the aisle! COACH Here comes the cavalry, Mikey Cole! Bo slides into the ring and immediately tosses a charging Black over the top rope and to the floor with a back bodydrop that splatters him at ringside! COLE There goes one! With Black out of the way, Sommers and Bohemoth square off with the internationally reknowned duo of Blonde and Faqu, trading blows with their War Games opposition...until James Cone appears to chop block Sly from behind, again putting the odds in favor of the rulebreakers! COLE James Cone, the captain of this War Games team is out now, and no matter what, it looks like the odds are stacked against Sly and his allies! Blonde and Cone double up on Sly, and with Blonde holding Sommers at bay, Cone picks up the chair that's been left on the canvas, stained with Zack's blood from the earlier shot. Looking positively vindictive as he playfully jabs the end of the chair at Sly's throat, Cone cocks the chair back, ready to lay out the captain of the opposing team...until LEON RODEZ hits the ring and steals the chair from him, throwing it aside! COACH SILKY SMOOTH, BABY! COLE Leon Rodez! Cone fumes at the save, while Sly kicks his leg back, striking Blonde low, and then hitting a low blow on Cone as well! Sly gets up and he and Leon team up, taking Cone and tossing him through the ropes to the floor, collding with Nathaniel Black as he attempts to get back in the ring! COLE James Cone just got sent airborne, and Nathaniel Black was the collateral damage on that one! Cone and Black get up, both stunned and both angered by the infractions against them...which continue as Rodez and Sommers hit stereo dives from the top turnbuckle, dropping down onto their foes on the outside! At the same time, Bo disposes of Faqu by dumping him over the ropes with a clothesline, and Todd Cortez sends Blonde packing as well, catching him with a spin kick off the ropes that sends him rolling to the floor! With the crowd at a fever pitch, the only man left in the ring is Landon Maddix, who gets up and turns around to come face to face with a blood-covered Zack Malibu! Gulping and in fear of what's to come, Landon steps back, but winds up backing into the "other" last person he'd want to run into at this point, that being Cortez! COACH I have a feeling that this whole thing might be backfiring as we speak! Landon turns around, and without warning, Todd takes him by the head and sets him up for a RIOT ACT PLUS, but Landon bails and goes running from ringside, into the aisleway to regroup with his alliance. Standing tall in the ring though, are now five men, and it looks as though Cortez's defiance has not only made Cucaracha Internacional and James Cone irate, but it's evened the odds for Sunday! COLE An alliance that we've never expected, but one that is certainly formidable. It looks like Sly's got his squad together, because Zack Malibu, Bohemoth, and now Todd Cortez and Leon Rodez are standing side by side with him, calling out James Cone and company! The heels fume in the aisleway, while in the ring, a tense handshake is seen between Leon and Todd. With the memories of two years ago having come up in conversation recently, it appears that Todd is ready to make some amends by fighting on the same side, doing his best to abolish the slavery Landon has him under. COLE The Great Angle Bash is this Sunday, and if tonight's mayhem got you fired up, imagine what you'll see when two rings are enclosed by a steel cage! James Cone, Landon Maddix, Faqu, James Blonde and Nathaniel Black, taking on Sly Sommers, Zack Malibu, Bohemoth, Leon Rodez and Todd Cortez! Fans, it's this Sunday and it's not something to miss! For Da Coach, I'm Michael Cole saying we'll see you this Sunday!

I was going to make my pick before I passed out last night, then passed out. Apparently I missed out on some stuff too. Anyways... http://l.yimg.com/img.movies.yahoo.com/ymv...1800024981p.jpg Swingers, 1996 One of the best comedies I've ever seen, and a perfect "guy movie". Most of its laughs comes from just how real and close to home the situations the characters go through are, and the characters are all exact replicas of people you'd know in real life. Great chemistry between the cast and extremely quotable. This is one of those movies I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about.
-
The Usual Suspects, 1995. Easily one of, if not the best movie I've ever seen. Regardless of having seen the movie and the big reveal at the end, it keeps me hooked on repeated viewings just as much as it did the first time I saw it. The cast clicked, the plot was fantastic...if they intended this to be the perfect movie then they did a damn good job of it.
-
It wasn't until later in the summer, because the very first episode of ECW on an old compilation tape I have is from Labor Day weekend in '96, and on that show they have the highlights of how Doug Furnas turned on RVD and RVD wanted Sabu as his dream partner to take on Furnas and Kroffat since Sabu was the man who taught him about respect.
-
I'll get in on this.
-
I do still think that we could see Matt Hardy and Jericho swap places (and titles) just so that something "major" happens during this draft. The way they're doing the whole "MVP wants out of Smackdown" angle lately is either just blatantly telling the fans what to expect come draft day, or building up a face turn on Smackdown to feud with Edge and Co., but I think it's too soon for him to be a face.
-
There's another match added, as Patty has awesomely edited in Zack Malibu vs. Faqu!
-
COLE *wrsktisrrrkt-looking to-prsssktth-* *STATIC* (and no, not Scotty. As in, the feed went out!) COLE Are we good? Coach, can you hear me in the headset? COACH I can hear you right next to me, but yeah, we're good I think! COLE Sorry about the technical difficulties, fans, but they're a thing of the past and just in time. Zack Malibu has just entered the ring to battle the man he lost the HI-YAH Heavyweight Championship to two years ago on this very program. A man who once respected him, but has gone through a drastic change since last we saw him. The bell sounds, and like an attack dog set off his leash, Faqu springs into action, delivering a throat thrust that takes Malibu down in the first few seconds of the contest! Zack crawls on all fours, trying to catch his breath, but he's yanked up off the canvas and then tossed against the turnbuckles, where Faqu wraps his hands around Zack's throat, trying to choke him out! Malibu grabs the wrists of the savage Samoan and tries to pry his hands off his throat, but Faqu won't allow it, looking to stop any more precious oxygen from making its way into Zack's body! Finally, as the referee gets to the count of five, the choke is broken, leaving Malibu to try and suck in as much wind as possible before the assault continues. With Zack distracted, Faqu charges into the corner, but at the last second Malibu moves, and the big man collides with the turnbuckles! Immediately, Zack hops up on the second rope and starts hammering Faqu with punches, but punching a Samoan in the head goes as well as you'd think it would, and Malibu is shoved down to the canvas! Zack rolls to his feet and charges the corner again, but Faqu puts his foot up...and Zack catches it! After throwing the leg of the former HI-YAH Heavyweight Champion down to the mat, Zack unloads with a flurry of his trademark open hand strikes, wailing on Faqu before pulling him out of the corner and sending him across the ring...or at least that was the plan, until Faqu reverses! Zack is now headed for the corner, but springs up to the middle rope, then hops over the top and onto the apron, avoiding a charging Faqu who was right behind him! Faqu staggers out of the corner after the collision, and Zack takes him and drops his throat across the top rope, staggering him even more! Zack hops back up on the apron, and with Faqu's back to him, springboards off the top rope with a missle dropkick that sends the big man off-balance, stumbling through the middle ropes and out to the floor! COLE Fast and furious action to get the ball rolling in this one, folks! Seems like Faqu is ready to tear into Zack tonight, but the combination of speed and agility has sent the Samoan to the outside! Faqu slams his hands on the canvas, growling in anger, while Blonde comes over and tries to pacify his savage friend. Blonde cries foul to the referee, but the ref reminds him that there's nothing wrong with a dropkick, and that his ally had better get back in the ring. Faqu climbs back into the ring, staring menacingly at Zack, who simply smiles at his one time friend and waves him on. Faqu charges Zack, but Malibu rolls under the wild swing of the giant islander, popping up to his feet and delivering a hard open hand chop as Faqu turns around! Zack then rocks him with a European uppercut and takes him by the wrist, sending him into the ropes. Malibu tries a hiptoss, but Faqu stays grounded, and swings his arm around with a lariat, but Malibu ducks! Zack segues into a go behind and runs Faqu to the ropes, rolling backwards while again Faqu maintains a standing position. Befuddled, the Samoan turns around to see Zack smiling again, moving from side to side in a playful fashion in an effort to get into the Samoan's head. Faqu comes at him again and the two tie up, with Faqu snaring Zack in a headlock, but getting shoved into the ropes, only to rebound and plow Zack over with a shoulderblock! Zack starts to get up, but Faqu hits the ropes again, sending Zack back down to the canvas so that Faqu has to hop over him. As Faqu comes off the ropes again, Zack springs up and hits a dropkick, sending him into the ropes...but Faqu uses the momentum to bounce back and nail Zack with a hard clothesline just as he gets to his feet! COACH I swear Mikey Cole, Zack's head nearly went flying into the fifth row after that shot! Zack reels from the shot, but he's brought up and shoved into the corner by Faqu, who starts drilling Zack with repeated shoulderblocks to the ribs before sending him across the ring, crashing into the far corner! Zack staggers out of the corner, right into the hands of Faqu, who scoops Zack up and drops him with a bodyslam, then drops to one knee, pinning it between Zack's shoulderblades while cramming his fingers into his mouth, tearing at his skin and pulling his cheeks back! COLE He's trying to rip his face off! COACH Can you blame him? Look at him, and look at Zack. If I looked like that, I'd wanna look like Zack too! Zack moans in pain, while Faqu smiles, as does a pleased James Blonde at ringside. Faqu then yanks back on Zack's head, slamming it into the canvas, then gets up and quickly hits a splash, crushing the former World Champion under his large Samoan frame! ONE! T-NO! Faqu brings Zack up, looking to inflict more punishment now that Zack has decided not to accept defeat. He brings Zack up, but Malibu takes the opportunity to rattle him with a jawbreaker to change the tide! Faqu is shocked by the blow, and Zack opens fire with hard kicks to the left leg of Faqu, trying to take him off balance. Zack goes to deliver another kick, but Faqu catches it...only to have Zack leap up and crack him in the side of the head with an enzugiri! Dazed even further, Faqu hobbles as Zack runs the ropes and comes off with a spinning wheel kick that takes the Samoan Wrecking Ball to the canvas! COLE He brought him down! Zack hops onto the shoulders of Faqu and starts throwing elbows, cracking Faqu across either side of his head as he tries to deflect the assault! Zack follows up with a kneedrop, spiking the point into the temple of his opponent, and then brings him up and sends him into motion, bouncing off the ropes and right into a BIG back bodydrop that shakes the ring! Blonde is having conniptions on the floor as Malibu works on dismantling the rabid animal in the ring with him, rushing up behind him and trying for a German suplex, only to be snapmared to the canvas and drilled with a legdrop from a dazed and angered island beast! Faqu then brings Zack up and pulls him up onto his shoulders for a Samoan drop, but Zack manages to wriggle free and shove Faqu into the ropes, who again utilizes the momentum to drill his bare foot into Zack's pristine preppy face! COLE This is not the same man Zack has fought before, at least not a man with the same mindset. COACH I don't think he even HAS a mindset! Zack rolls over, covering his face and feeling for all of his teeth, while Faqu measures him up. Zack rises, and catches a kick to the ribs that he's unable to block, then gets stuffed into position for a powerbomb. Zack gets pulled into the air, but manages to slide out of the grasp of his opponent and try for an STO, but he gets an elbow to the side of his face for his troubles! Zack backs away, and Faqu tries a thrust kick, but Zack catches his foot and drives the point of his elbow into the Samoan's knee, hobbling him enough so that Zack can repay the favor by delivering an elbow strike of his own to the side of his head! Walking on a bad wheel, Faqu struggles to keep his balance as Zack bounds for the ropes, coming off with his trademark leaping lariat that takes the Samoan off his feet and has him looking up at the lights! Zack heads for the ropes again, but this time Blonde swipes his leg out from under him, causing Zack to faceplant himself into the canvas! COLE There it is...you just KNEW it was coming! The crowd boos loudly as Blonde just keeps pacing around ringside, acting incredulous to the accusations...but payback is a bitch, as Malibu launches himself out of the ring with a pescado that wipes him out! The fans roar as Zack gets up to his feet and jumps up on the apron and starts climbing the ropes...but Blonde is up and hops up on the apron after him, paying no attention to the Metrosexual Monster that has barged down the aisle and yanks him to the floor, triggering a brawl! COACH It's Bo, yo! Bohemoth, living up to his word, comes out and has Zack's back, taking Blonde and whipping him into the security barrier, then following up with a clothesline that dumps him in the first row! Meanwhile, Zack gets crotched on the top rope by Faqu, who shakes the ropes to send him off balance. The Samoan, limping slightly now, heads up top and snatches Zack, hitting a release belly to belly suplex off the ropes that sends Malibu into orbit before gravity brings him back down the hard way! Faqu gets up and stalks Zack, creeping across the ring towards his fallen foe, but then out of the corner of his eye notices Bohemoth brawling with Blonde at ringside. Faqu moves towards the ropes and hops off the apron, driving an axehandle between Bo's shoulder blades as he dukes it out with Blonde, and now the duo hammers Bo down, working him over with vicious forearms and kicks. The members of Cucaracha International pound on the popular hoss and then roll him into the ring...which Zack utilizes to his advantage, as he runs across the ring and springs off of Bo's back as he rest on all fours, launching himself over the ropes with a flip plancha onto his rivals! COLE That was amazing! The crowd gets a rush from witnessing Zack's show of bravery, as all three men are sprawled out in the aisleway. Referee Charles Robinson has no idea what to make of the scene, as he's got a man not in the match recovering in the ring, and the two combatants plus one other all laid out on the floor. Slowly, Zack, Faqu, and Blonde all rise to their feet, and Zack trades blows with both of them until Bo rolls out of the ring to even the odds. COLE It's breaking down here again for the second week in a row! These four guys are tearing each other apart! Bo pairs off with Faqu, while Blonde and Zack trade shots, each man delivering a right hand to the face of the other before it's reciprocated. Bo pins Faqu against the apron, but Faqu gouges his eyes and delivers a headbutt to stagger him, then grabs him by the neck to choke him out! Bo reaches out and takes Faqu by the neck, and now a swarm of OAOAST staff rush out to break up the chaos before things get too heated! COACH I think we lost this one, Cole...it doesn't seem like any order is gonna be restored! Robinson, the road agents, the other refs...everyone and their mother is trying to pry the four wrestlers apart, to no avail. Punches continue to be thrown and no one is able to be held back, until literally about 10 staff members stand between the two pairs of wrestlers. Faqu tries barrelling through EVERYONE, but Blonde realizes that it would do their careers even more harm if he were to lay waste to everybody out there. Zack and Bo egg him on, only to be calmed by the OAOAST crew. COLE The bad blood boils over once again, and I don't think anything got settled here at all tonight, Coach! Two years ago Faqu had undoubtedly the greatest moment of his career on this very program against Zack, but neither man can be happy about tonight! COACH Both guys had points to prove, and none of that happened. What we do know is that Zack has a red dot on him and Blonde and Faqu are the snipers ready to fire! COLE We also know that Bohemoth, fresh off a brutal rivalry with Zack, has now offered to aid his friend as he stands up to his one time allies. This one already has a lot of twists and turns, and I can only imagine what will happen next on HeldDOWN~!
-
All set. Sorry about taking the low road with the entrances-it was a busy work week so I didn't get to make the match as long as I'd intended, but I think it still holds up well enough for the story it's setting up.
-
Going back to what Bob said about No Mercy, I would absolutely agree that the main event was awesome, however if prestige is based on having great matches then the TNA titles would mean a lot more than they do right now.
-
This is exactly what I meant. I'd even argue that both titles in the WWE are treated like shit. Sure, they did really well with booking Orton's run and making him into a legitimate threat and headliner, but let's not forget the debacle at No Mercy with the WCW-esque "two changes in one night". The World Title has the "curse" stigma behind it, but honestly they're not helping themselves by having Undertaker get his big win and then having the belt stripped in another tired heel GM storyline. TNA's World Title has been booked shockingly well for a promotion whose other two titles are vacated, put up for grabs in multi-person matches, or fought for by slapdash teams in odd tournaments on a weekly basis, but they've still got a long way to go. I meant nothing about lineage or history when referring to the ROH belt being the most prestigious right now, but simply that it is the best example of what a championship should be. Not only do you have the legit best in the world vying for it, but it's not treated as an afterthought. That belt is the end all and be all of every worker in the company, from Nigel right on down to Bobby Dempsey.
-
I doubt Gabe would let his belt, probably the most prestigious in the current US wrestling atmosphere (what with the way they're treated in the Big Two), won by an unknown on an indy show, even if it was to pull a quick switch back. It's not like the WCW TV Title being traded on a house show tour before the next tapings or something. I'm not saying this was some type of screwjob or anything, but I'd like to hear if there's more to this story.
-
I had thought it was fairly obvious it was going to be Harry. Out of the other rumored members of the stable (Cody, Afa Jr., Carlito), he's the best bet as far as meshing with DiBiase Jr.
-
No Fury cameo, just the Stark appearance that's been hyped and even put into the newest commercial. The movie is phenomenal, and not only that, but it builds and alludes to what's going to go down in Captain America, Incredible Hulk 2, Iron Man 2, and The Avengers.
