Well so much for that. They're incredibly anal about which games they take. I thought they'd basically take anything other than sports games or other games that had an 'updated' version (think VF4 to VF4 Evo), but no. They wouldn't take the Tenchu PS2 game, GTA VC, Baten Kaitos, Ace Combat 4, Mega Man Anniversary Collection or X-Men Legends. Essentially I needed to trade in fairly new games that would quite possibly equal or even exceed $300 if I sold them individually.

I guess it is. When the American EB Games have deals, I don't see them here, so the opposite must be true. The PS3 costs $700 in Canada, so saving $300 is quite a deal. Especially considering I wouldn't get even close to $30 for most of the games I'll be trading in. Also, eligible games = 6th gen consoles minus Dreamcast, and 7th gen handhelds/consoles. Considering I have a modded Wii and PS2 and XBox 360, it wasn't a tough decision to trade in 10 games. Do PS2 controllers work with the PS3? Or is it wireless only?

Looks like I'm buying a PS3 thanks to EB Games' "trade-in 10 games, get a PS3 for $400" deal. Given that it'll likely be many years until the PS3 is that cheap, I figured I'd be stupid not to buy it.

What a friggin game that was. The Raps played poorly, but the momentum swings and drama made for a great game. Hopefully this win loosens them up so they start playing to their abilities.

I guess not. I was thinking that some FFIX spin-offs wouldn't have done too well, but they still would have probably sold enough to be profitable.

Wow. Risk-Reward I guess? If the game bombs, it'll be a disaster, because who will want the spin-offs then? If it succeeds, they can lazily toss out spin-offs that should sell no problem.

I'm still willing to cut Nintendo some slack, because the Wii is still kind of in the "honeymoon" phase where it sells on the hype, regardless of how horrible the software lineup is. Once it's been a year, I expect the releases to start ramping up. If not, the Wii will start to die off.

FFXIII looks a lot sharper than FFXII, from the limited media that's available. The Wii is very underpowered compared to the PS3 and XBox 360. If Square had to seriously rework the visuals of the game, I doubt they'd go to the trouble.

FFXII was pretty huge. If FFXIII is going to be like that, it's doubtful that the Wii would be able to handle it without a huge decrease in visuals. I doubt the Wii will get the main FF game, but I do think they'll get some sort of spin-off.

Vince never took much criticism, outside of the smarmy media idiots, until he started dogging it. After that, the fans started ragging on him and that was it. If he had asked to be traded and kept playing hard, they wouldn't be booing him so much. But he didn't, and it probably hurt his trade value, even if that stupid retard Babcock still took less than market value.

Nothing, since there's multiple FFXIII projects, which was announced at the very beginning. The article implies that the main game won't be exclusive anymore, which is significant, because thats likely the most important one as far as image goes. Pretty soon I won't ever need to buy a PS3.

Thank goodness for mod chips. The Godfather game is a good bit of fun, but only because of the controls. It's basically a poor man's GTA, with some neat controls (grab a guy and shake the Wiimote to strangle him to death!). The Dragonball Z game is actually pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. The Bust A Move game has horrible, horrible multiplayer, but it's worth getting for the single player if you like the series and need a newer version of it. Only problem is the pricetag, which again, does not fit the product you're getting.

The only way Toronto loses this is nerves + inexperience. They're clearly the better team, but they're young and this is their first kick at the can, so you never know how they'll react.
