Must be tough considering the Wii has like five games and not much more on the horizon I was anti-XBox because the original was probably the worst mainstream/successful gaming system of all time, but the 360 really has a nice looking group of titles set for release in the next few months, and the prospects of more JRPGs down the line, along with (hopefully) future Virtua Fighter games and perhaps even Metal Gear Solid games. It really seems like the best choice for console gaming for the near future.

Oh, it was definitely overhyped. I remember reading how "everything" in the world could be interacted with. Uh, no. TES it was not. Now that I think of it, Sega needs to make a good beat 'em up using the Virtua Fighter fighting system. Something like Shenmue, but where the battles make up the biggest chunk of the game. With Sarah as the main character. Yea, I could dig that.

Shenmue is there just because they don't like the genre. That's hardly grounds for it being overrated. Opinion was mixed on that game anyway. FFIX is a completely bizarre choice since it wasn't pimped as much as its predecessors, or successors, and it was much better than FFVIII which did get a fair share of critical acclaim despite having some objective, significant flaws.

I'd like the VC if the prices were even remotely reasonable. Then again, I do like it because it shatters the illusion that some hold of Nintendo, that they are an unselfish, caring bastion of good-will for the gaming community, when they're really just like any other greedy corporation. $5 for NES ROMs. $5 for NES ROMs.

DKC2 was rocking at the time. But I'd imagine it hasn't aged well, like 99% of games from that era.

Disconnect your cable modem from the router and reboot the modem. Then connect it to the router. I forget the technical jargon, it's something like the cable modem has to get the router's MAC address or vice-versa, or something, and that requires a reboot if you've been using the modem directly connected to the computer. If that doesn't work, disconnect everything, reboot both, then connect it again. Just don't connect the modem directly to the PC before you try the router out. If that doesn't work, I don't know.

They showed the formations well at various points, but the big melee scenes were totally inaccurate. The whole episode was grossly inaccurate and it really seems like they're rushing things through. Now there are 4 episodes left, and I assume they'll end the series with Actium. That's 11 years worth of events to be covered by 4 episodes. I understand why it is the way it is, it's just disappointing. I will say that Brutus' death was a neat idea, as an analog to Caesar's assassination. Cassius' death was inaccurate and underwhelming, but I suppose his character never really got much attention in the first place.

The Simpsons was entertaining thanks to the premise. Family Guy was great outside the last few minutes. I dig the "Peter as a child" jokes, ditto for the "Stewie as a grown-up" jokes. Oh, Dick Cheney as Walmart greeter = priceless. I missed a lot of American Dad. It didn't seem all that funny, and seemed to be a silly concept, even though I totally got all the Illuminati references. -
Fliptop/modchip + HD Loader is the way to go. That way you can just burn the HD Loader program instead of paying (hah!) for it, and you have the backup of playing the games via disc for those that don't work on the HD.

Looks like a cross-dressing female, tbh. I might have to get this game just for the spider girl.

Joe vs. Morishima in Joe's last match seems a given doesn't it? And Morishima is so clearly going to win that match, unless Sapolsky and Misawa are both incredibly insane. They should have had Morishima win both matches. I don't see the point in booking for another Joe-Morishima match when it will likely be Joe's last match with the promotion for a while. -
VF gameplay smokes Tekken, so the character count doesn't really matter. Well ok, maybe if VF had 2 characters. Otherwise, MKA, best fighting game ever~!

Joe won. Which is alright, I guess, as long as Morishima doesn't job to Homicide or Rave. Him losing to Joe is an interesting booking choice, but losing to Rave or Homicide would be downright business exposing and insane. I guess they'll have Morishima win the title, and then have him defend against Joe in a rematch. Where it goes from there is anyone's guess. -
Could try starting explorer.exe through task manager and see what happens.

Since I'm just full of original ideas lately, I decided to steal another idea, this time from HTQ. You know the drill, give me some names of wrestlers or posters, and watch the carnage unfold.

Incredibly talented and charismatic. Also incredibly lazy. Muto unfortunately decided that once he was over like a god, he would stop working hard in the ring, and he never really reached his full potential as far as an in-ring performer. In his later years, he was still decent at various points, but the overall story was one of a veteran coasting on his success. In any case, he's still one of the more popular Japanese wrestlers of all time, and is notable for his success in the American market as well. I've not seen a lot of Harley Race, especially his American work, but from what I can tell, he know how to get it done in the ring. Very good worker with a solidgrasp of psychology and believable execution. I haven't seen a prime Lawler, but I look forward to it during the DVDVR 1980's project. There's not much to say that hasn't been said before. Calling 1990's AJPW the best wrestling product of all time is such a cliche and there seems to have been some backlash against the promotion for garnering such praise and attention, but I do believe they produced more of the best matches than any other wrestling promotion. They were still basically a one or two match show during their glory years, but I'm just not so sure that even matters considering the the quality and quantity of their high-end matches. For someone who enjoys the serious, sporting form of wrestling over the more theatrical, I can't imagine a better promotion to get into. -
You're really not missing much by not having a Wii.

The new Phantasy Star game is an off-shoot of the PSO series, so it's nothing like the old Phantasy Star games as far as gameplay goes. The single player in PSU is decent, the online portion is terrible. But it's only worth getting if you don't mind hack and slash dungeon crawl type games.

The CPU is the most important part of the computer. Without at least a decent CPU, nothing else matters. Not to say you need a super high-end CPU, because you don't. But all the RAM in the world won't mean anything if you get a weak processor. And for gaming, video card is more important than RAM period. I'd go for the strongest CPU you listed, with one gig of RAM, which can easily be added to should you need more. And you probably won't need more for another year or so, at least until the standard recommended specs on PC games goes above one gig of RAM.

That part was true. Their alliance (along with Lepidus) was called the Second Triumvirate (the first was Caesar/Pompeius/Crassus). Kind of spoilers for next week -

Rome Total War. God damn do I hate Gaul.

So who's got an XBox 360 modchip, and how is it working out? I'm probably going to get one but I'm wondering if I should wait for the newer chips that usually come out during a console's lifespan. Also, I have a place I get this stuff at, but I'm looking for other mod shops in Canada, or specifically Toronto.

Why would they? It also plays Blu Ray movies!! And..and...can I get some help here?
