According to Jerry Lawler, they're going to try really hard to get Savage in next year. You really can't put Savage in the same boat as Bruno, because there's really no legit heat between Vince and Savage, at least not any that I've ever heard. Savage just has legit heat with Hogan for whatever reason, anad as long as WWE keeps associating themselves with Hogan, Savage wants nothing to do with them. That's not to say a deal couldn't be worked out though, and it's far more likely that we'll see Savage then Sammartino. As for Honky Tonk Man, he blows hot and cold in regards to Vince and the WWE. He'll talk trash about them on his website one minute, but then then say he doesn't have any heat with anyone there the next. I think Honky has gone on record as saying that he's not totally opposed to being in the WWE Hall of Fame, but wants to wait until he decides to retire for good before he'll agree to it.

While this IS the WWE we're talking about, there would be no logical reason to put over a wrestler who never had any connection to ECW whatsoever over in the main event of the ECW Pay Per View. So by WWE logic, Triple H is going to squash RVD at One Night Stand and bury him back down to Internet Heat.

I guess Ortons suspension is effective as of ater this show, which is fine, rather that then bait and switch the fans and not have the match at all. King of the Ring returning? Eh, not sure where they're going with that. Sounds like a good show overall though.

THe one big problem that everyone seems to be missing is that Teenagers enjoy the garbage food, the greasy Pizza, The Baked Potatoes, THe Fried Chicken, etc., you take that food off then menu and replace it with Salads, Tofu, Vegetables, etc., and you know what will happen? A lot less kids are going to be eating lunch at school. That healthy crap is much more expensive then the junk the schools can purchase in bulk, so not only will the prices go up, but much of it will end up being wasted, becuase no one is going to eat the healthy stuff. Yeah sure, every High School has the handfull of ultra lib teens that refuse to eat the junkfood for whatever misguided reasons they might have, but that's far from the norm. The government shouldn't have to babysit and make sure you eat healthy. As for Gym class, it was rapidly on the way out when I graduated in 2003. By the time I graduated, it went from 4 years manadatory, to 2 years, and now I hear that it's only one year now. Schools are so afraid of Lawsuits now that stuff like Gym often ends up being the first thing cut because it basically lends itself to children getting hurt.

To my knowlege, the Wrestlemania shows have been released 4 different times. The original Coliseum Videos, the 1997 Collection Box, the 1998 Legacy Set, and the 2005 DVD release, each one being at different edits of the same shows. I know the original Coliseum versions of the early shows are edited to fit in a 3 hour time window, except for Wrestlemania 4 which is 2 seperate tapes, but also had exclusive backstage interviews and promos that were only on the Coliseum Tapes. Now as far as I know the Collection Box from 1997 are the shows completely as they were originally broadcast on Closed Circuit / PPV, and the Legacy Set from 1998 are just re-releases of the original Coliseum Tapes that are edited to erase any mention of Coliseum Video , and are also on much poorer quality tapes which had a tendency to fall apart. The DVDs from what I understand are a mix of both the original broadcast versions, and the edited VHS shows, with all mentions of WWF and copywritten music edited out. So really, in order to have the definitive version of the Wrestlemania Shows, you would need the Collection Boxed Set, along with the Coliseum Tapes with their exclusive content, correct? Can anyone clear this up?

Lashly needs to get traded to RAW, he's done everything he can on Smackdown, and will only go down from here. I want Finlay and Burchill to get a push. Finlay is more likely then Burchill. Carlito needs to turn face and have a main event run.

Eh, this show was all right. The Ladder match was good, so was Foley vs Edge. THe Smackdown World Title match was too short, and Triple H vs Cena had good drama, but wasn't too great of a match. Undertaker vs Henry put me to sleep, and I didn't wake up until the end of Michaels vs Vince, so I missed both of those. The Womans match was about as good as could be expected, which is to say it sucked. That botched ending was hysterical. Rey, Triple H, and Cena's entrances were all horrifying, that's all I have to say.

Does anyone know a good free program that will convert a wmv file to a format I can burn into a bootable DVD in Nero? ALl the trial programs I've found so far will either only convert half the file unless you pay 25 dollars for the full version, or will convert the whole file, but place a giant watermark over the video making it unwatchable. Are there any free ones out there that'll do the job?

The Blockbuster sidestore is called Gamerush, and there are far fewer Blockbuster stores that have them then there are Hollywood Video stores without a Gamecrazy. I think the Gamerush thing is currently mostly in the mid-west, and hasn't really expanded that far yet.

Personally, while I do agree that it has been well booked, which is a refreshing change for WWE, when it all comes down to it, it's still a stupid storyline with 2 women who can't act their way out of a paper bag. Good booking does not a good storyline make.

I've lived in and around the city of Waterbury, Connecticut my entire life, and for the past 5 years, I've worked there as well. While my mother often speaks of a time when things were good in the city, for as long as I've ever known it, it's been a complete and utter shithole, now more then ever. While just randomly walking around the mall I work in while trying to kill time while on break today, I've noticed that not only have things in this city, or any city for that matter, not improved, they're actually getting worse. What do I see just walking around the mall for 15 minutes? I see kids as young as six just loitering, attempting to come up with elaborate schemes to distract the employees at EB while they pocket Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I see girls as young as eight openly groping their boyfriends that are five, ten, or sometimes even more years older then they are. I see children, teenagers, and adults with no clue at all how to properly behave in a public situation, and not only do they not know how to behave, but they give birth to obnoxious children that grow up to be even worse then the parents. I see girls as young as 12 who are pregnant, I see 18 year old girls that already have a child and are pregnant with a second or a third, with no clue who the father of any of them might be. I see people that can't even put together a grammatically correct sentence in English OR Spanish. I see parents that need their children to speak English for them because they're not capable of doing so themself. I see teenagers that couldn't even name one fuckin song by the Beatles, but can name every track off the latest Daddy Yankee or My Chemical Romance album. Is this truely what we have come to as a society? Will we come to a point where one day Americas urban cities have no majority race, no definitive language, and no definitive culture? Has anyone even considerd the consequences of the generations of families that are giving birth to children at 14, with people becoming Grandparents in their Early-30's? Does anyone have any sort of guess as to what led society down such a rotting cesspool where Basketball Players and Football Players make millions a year but can't read or write, or where people on Welfare can go to the meat market on the first of the month and buy Filet Mignon and Prime Rib for themselves and their seventeen children, while I can barely afford a couple hamburger patties? People worry about possibly dying in a nuclear haulocaust twenty years from now, but I worry about being stabbed to death in the parking lot of the mall tomorrow by some guy who wants to steal my wallet and the six dollars I might have in there at any given time. Why does the city continue to build beautiful section 8 housing which will be destroyed in less then a year, while I can't afford 700 dollars a month to rent a two room apartment? What happened that forced the hard working people in this country to work even harder to make ends meet, while the idiots who aren't even capable of tying their own shoe get to sit at home and watch Maury all afternoon?

This show tonight was baaaaaaaad, even by WWEs standards. Just way way way way WAY too much talking and other sports entertainment nonsense. What the fuck was the point of the JBL segment? Was it Jim Cornette who always used to say that if an angle isn't going to build up to a match, then it's generally a waste of time and won't make you any money? That was this segment to the tee. Just get in the ring, and fucking wrestle, is that so much to ask? I can understand the commercial breaks every 5 minutes, because that's just the nature of the beast, but there's no excuse at all for only 20 minutes of wrestling on a 2 hour wrestling show.

For the record, when I searched for SNME on TiVo to record it, it lists a broadcast on both the regular NBC Station, and the HD Station which can't pick up, so it is at least showign on there.

I caught this one this afternoon, it was pretty good. The first maybe 45 minutes or so are pretty fast paced, but then it slows down a lot. The ending had be a bit puzzled due to my lack of familiarity witht he comics, but I'm sure someone will explain it eventually. Overall it was a great film, it would be worth your money to see.
