Wouldn't it be great to see a Heat vs Velocity match on the Pre-Show of Survivor Series? Tomko, Venis, Kerwin and Viscera vs. Funaki, Regal, Simon Dean, and Paul London. Actually, that doesn't sound like it would be too bad of a match.

Blech, she looks like a coked out overweight Tammy Sytch. I know she's pregnant and everything, but yech!

I guess I'm just lucky to live in a city riddled with drugs and crime with underpaid cops who could care less about how fast you're going.

So I made it to Manhatten today for Maury which was quite entertaining in itself, but anyways it just so happened that Carlito was making an appearence at Toys R Us in Tiems Square today. So for lack of anything better to do with my time and money, I walked over there, purchased his action figure and got in line. Compared to the stories I've heard about the lines to see Triple H and Batista at that place stretching blocks, and the line for Hogan when he was there that just went on forever, there was hardly anyone in line to see Carlito. The line stretched maybe near the end of the block if even that. I saw him when he first came up on the third level, and he seemed at least somewhat responsive to the crowd, but once I actually got near the front of the line, I could see that he looked completely disinterested, as if this was the last place he wanted to be at that moment. He wouldn't even smile for anyones pictures, he jsut about barely looked up at the camera. I just shook his hand, got his action figure signed, and said hi, he barely even utterd a response to that. Compare this to meeting Regal over the summer who was very humble towards his fans, and willining to chat for a few seconds, and Carlito just seemed like a complete asshole in comparison. Oh well, maybe he was just having a bad day? Oh well, at least I got his figure signed, and was able to get the new Simon Dean figure too, so it wasn't a total waste of time.

I fast forwarded through RAW on my TiVo after work last night, and it was just terrible, I actually stopped to watch maybe 25 minutes of the whole 2 hour show. 'Sic him Kurt? Who the hell writes this shit? A Battle Royal with only 2 logical winners (Shelton, Kane) where one of the two gets eliminated halfway through? Who books this shit?

This is Smackdowns last year on UPN regardless, that was basically announced well before the friday move was, the contract is up after this year, and UPN has stated that there's not much interest in renewing it, and even fi they DID renew it, it would be for considerably less then what WWE would be willing to take. I don't think WWE will have much of a problem finding another network to run Smackdown, they've had on and off negotiations with FOX for years regarding various projects, and even if that doesn't work, I'm sure they'd get something from USA.

Oh yeah, that's right, d'oh, damn me for forgetting my shitty b-Movie Character Actors.

I think we'll all best remember him for his role as Pat's, erm, significant other in It's Pat the Movie

Not to sa taht all wrestling Midgets are bad, because I have seen a few pretty good matches, as a whole, even the miedgets from Mexico are awful. I've seen very few serious midget matches though, all I'm really familliar with the the comedy shit they used to do on AAA on Galavision.

Hell, if they can crank it out fast enough and have it in theaters by next Christmas, with all the money this Nostolgia Trip has been making for DVD, Video Games, music, and Pro-Wrestling, Rocky 6 could easily top 100 million.

Mappyland for NES was produced by the now defunct Taxan, it is very loosely based on the original arcade game. Here's the FAQ that has just about everything you could ever want to know about the game http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/file/mappy_land.txt

Is Surface still on? That show got some of the heaviest promotion of any new show this fall. I caught the first episode and if that wasn't the television equivilent of a sleeping pill, then I don't know what is.

I sat through 1989, I sat through 1995, and I sat through 1999, the stuff on RAW now looks like EMLL in comparison to the shit cranked out in those years.

So Bon Jovi tickets for their show here in Connecticut go on sale tomorrow. I wasn't terribly impressed with their new album, and would have gone just to hear some of the classes, but I went on ticketmaster, and starting prices for tickets for Bon Jovi at Mohegan Sun are 95 dollars! While it is true that they are significantly higher because the indians are going to rape you for ever last dime they can, 95 for balcony seats is insane, even Rolling Stones in Hartford were only ab out 45 for the lawn. Cheacking other venues, it looks like Bon Jovi is getting at least 60 dollars+ a seat just about everywhere else too. Are there really that many people stupid enough to pay these outrageous prices for the bands to justify charging them?

It was a busy weekend for us at work, possibly due to the non-stop rain here in the Northeast. The Gospel did fairly well for us where I work, and actually did VERY well nationally as far as per-screen average goes. Serenity did little buisness last week, and was totally dead this week. Wallace and Gromit did very well with the kids, and was an excellent movie to boot, easily the best animated film so far this year. The other two openers this week, Two for the Money and Waiting pretty much got lost in the shuffle. Waiting will probobly have a much longer life on home video then it will in theaters.

http://www.impawards.com/1992/waynes_world.html Yep, that's just the original one sheet teaser for the original film.

That means nothing, they've been cutting him out of past WWE and WCW stuff that has been released before as well.

I didn't go to either me Junior OR Senior proms (A decision I still don't regret), but the word I got from a few friends that went was that they played nothing but rap music all night, with like one slow dance at the end.

But they're PAL and will only play on a PAL TV or a computer monitor.

I'm still not looking forawrd to this set. We STILL have no confirmation whether Jesse Venturas commentary will be intact, and it's basically a given that all references to WWF will be edited out. It's also rediculous that they're unwilling to to exert ANY effort in adding extras be it cliups of the build up to some of the matches, or even getting Vince and some of the legends they have under contract to come in and record commentary on the show / their matches. I'm perfectly happy with my VHS tapes, thanks.

I picked this up on impulse today. I hated the first with a passion, mostly due to the entirely too short and too linear story mode which I completed in less them a day. I'm glad to say that the story mode here seems longer, and it's no longer linear, whether you win or lose the match, the story continues. Gameplay is pretty much the same as before, no change there. The CPU is just as rediculously cheap though. While it may take you a full thirty seconds of pounding the A button in order to get your wrestler back on his feet even at the beginning of the match, but the CPU always seems to be able to pop back up in an instant. The AI is also all over the palce in regards to the matches. There's been times when I've been able to pin guys in under 30 seconds with a roll up. Other times, I can squash a guy and take zero offense for 10 minutes, hit my finisher three timers in a row, and they'll still manage to kick out, get one cheap reversal, hit their finisher, and pin me. Cage matches in particular are outrageously difficult, your stamina level has to be all the way up in order for you to even have enough enegery to climb over the cage, and even then 9 times out of 10, your opponent will still get up in time to knock you off. Of course, all it takes for them is a quick finisher, and they can climb the cage in half the time it takes you, but I digress, I'd rather have the CPU be a challange then a cakewalk. Overall, I'd give the game maybe an 8 out of 10. The gameplay is the best of the three console games, they just need to work on balancing the AI a little more, there's a fine line between "challanging" and "unfair", and I think this game sometime borderd a little to far towards the latter.

My TiVo rcorded this for me tonight, while I was at work. It actually was a very good show, featuring interviews with all the current stars, including legends like Heenan, and other guys like Sean Mooney, Mike Chioda, and others. Very good look back on some awesome moments in RAW history, including the first show, and some very memorable debuts. If you didn't catch this tonight, make sure you watch it after RAW tomorrow.

I also just relaized that this show has the first clips of the stuff Bret Hart filmed a few months ago in Stamford.

Good luck finding watchable copies of the original PPVs, they're out there, but they're all copies of copies x100 and can barely be watched, this is the case with my copy of Royal Rumble 1988, it just happens that some guy out in East Bumblefuck, NJ had enough sense to record it back in 1988, and that one copy has since been duplicated hundreds of millions of times since, and any resemblence to the original picture quality is conicidental.

I was thinking about this tonight, besides the Luchas like La Parka, how many wrestlers from WCWs run who had any measurable level of success never wrestled at any point for Vince Mcmahon? The only guys I can think of are: Sting Alex Wright Disco Inferno Stevie Ray Steve McMichael Maybe Horace Hogan? Are there any others?
