  1. Well since the thread is already marked for spoilers to begin with, London loses the belt to nunzio in the opening match on Velocity tonight.
  2. I was in the crowd foer this show, and while it's possible they put in some canned heat to make it sound louder, the boos were legit. It seemed to me though that the boos were not so much because he seemed to be turning heel, but more of a "STFU you whiny crybaby" kind of heat.

    WWE Magazine

I haven't read a WWF Publication since about 1994, is it still nothing but Kayfabe nonsense?

So who else wants to see The Mountie as the hometown hero when RAW is in Montreal in 2 weeks?

Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker

Just about all the good matches on there are already available on other DVDs, and Undertaker vs. Yokozuna is a match which should never be viewed by anyone, anywhere, for the rest of all of human existance. I'll pass on this unless it's really cheap.

    Velocity + Ongoing SmackDown Spoilers

I was at this show, and it wasn't half bad. Nunzio winning the belt shocked me, but it's good to see his getting atleast somewhat of a push. The crowd actually gave Eddie a bigger face reaction then Rey, who got some audible boos. The show seems packed, but it should fit fine in the 2 hour slot, as a lot of the stuff was really short as mentioned. The crowd was pissed after the Undertaker promo when they realized he wasn't actrually coming out. Everyone also shit all over the final Eddie segment after about 5 minutes just because of the mere fact taht it seemed to go on forever. After the show, Batista and JBL came out and wrelsted almost the exact same match they had at RAW last night. Batista won with the powerbomb.

Former Mid-90s WWE Star Backstage At RAW

I thought he was porking somebodies wife at one point? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was actually Tatanka whose wife was being porked by Paul Diamond, or so the story goes. Anyways, since RAW IS being held at an Indian Casino tonight, who wants to be that WWE just goes balls out and uses Tatanka in the most tasteless offensive way possible, and gets banned from the arena for life?

The OAO Raw thread for 08.01.05

So what do you think Vince's big announcement will be? My guess is that he is finally going to reveal who moved the briefcase at KOTR 1999.

I've got tickets for tonights RAW and tomorrows Smackdown too. I'm dissapointed to hear Hogan won't be there, but I think I'll be entertained by this.
  11. I agree, Warrior may be strange, but it's not like there's not a million people out there crazier then him. Politically, Warrior is no worse then any of the other far right nutjobs like Michael Savage and the like. Even as far as Warrior constantly putting himself over and being unable to draw the line between wrestling being a work, and life being real, is that no different from the way Hulk Hogan and some of the other big ego guys act?

    Anybody else growing weary...

Honestly, I've been a fan all my life, and if I sat through all of 1995 WWF and still kept watching, then I don't think there's much of anything that could ever get me to stop. As bad as WWE has been lately, they can NEVER top 1995, particularly the period lasting from KOTR until Survivor Series. With WWE running 14+ PPVs a year, the bad ones are quickly forgotten. In an era when they were still only running 8 PPVs a year, Vince managed to run a 6 month gap featuring non-stop nonsensical booking, PPVs that are rmemeberd amongst the worst of all time, and main event pushes that could not be explained by any logical means possible. I don't think it's even possible to pair up any two random guys on either roster right now and come up with a main event worse and more nonsensical then Mable vs Kevin Nash.

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

Here's a scary thought. What if Nailz hadn't beaten up Vicne Mcmahon backstage, and actually did proceed with his program with The Undertaker, leading up to the Chamber of Horrors-esque Electric Chair match at Royal Rumble. Could one even begin to fathom how awful that match would have been?

    Kane has been arrested

WWE really shouldn't mix this worked nonsense with the legitimate shoot content thats been on the site lately, it's gonna get to the point where no one knows what to believe.
  15. GSN is the worst perpetrator of this, probobly because they've gone through more then half a dozen station managers over the years. Sometimes The schedule will be almost exclusively their shitty GSN originals, dating shows, and Re-Runs of modern game shows like Hollywood Squares and shitty reality shows which aren't even game shows. The classic stuff like Family Feud, Match Game, and other shows which used to be staples of the channel get relegated to the early morning slot. Other times it seems like they increase the classic game shows take up a majority of the schedule, and the crap gets relegated to the prime time slots. Currently, it seems GSN has a combination of the two. Old game shows are seen in the early morning and on weekends, while the Dating shows, Millionaire Reruns, and Relaity Shows are on in the weekend afternoons and prime time slots. I do miss the old GSN though where it was nothing but the old Goodson Toddman shows.

    Smackdown plans for Summerslam

I assume that this whole Hassan deal will probobly speed along negotiations with Brock Lesnar, in order to have him back right after Summerslam. I imagine Undertaker vs Batista will happen on Smackdown in the next week or two and have run ins from Orton and JBL. This would leave JBL vs Batista at Summerslam, Steel Cage perhaps? Undertaker vs Orton Booker T vs Christian vs OJ vs Benoit for the US Belt MNM vs bWo for the tag belts (Assuming MNM wins the belts back on TV in the next week or two which I'm sure they will) Eddie vs Rey again? One of the Mexicools vs Paul London?

I'm more interested if Doring and Roadkill will becomes regulars on WWE television. Roadkill's Amish gimmick could probobly get over big if used correctly.

What Do You Think Eddie's Secret Is ?

I just want WWE to get Maury Povich on Smackdown to read the DNA Test results. "Rey Mysterio, in the case of 8 year old Dominick........you are NOT the father!"

    UPN Bans Hassan Permanently

I wouldn't put it past Vince to have the match at GAB end with Hassan revealing a bomb strapped to himself and blowing up or something.

    UPN Bans Hassan Permanently

According to the Torch, the Creative team is working on trying to change things up, but it looks like the plan as of now is to have Undertaker kill the character off on Sunday. Bullshit, as much as everyone else seems to hate the guy, I like Hassan and Daivari. Hassan may not be Benoit or even Cena in the ring, but he's an entertaining charcaters, he's good on the mic, and he makes for compelling television. Hopefully they'll work this out, because Batista vs Undertaker has the makings of being this centuries Undertaker vs Giant Gonzalez.

    UPN Bans Hassan Permanently

I'm sure they'll probobly just have Hassan come out on RAW and announce that due to pressure from a certain television network, Theodore Long has relieved Hassan and Daivari from from their duties on Smackdown, and that they have been rehired by Eric Bischoff.

    Planned Summerslam Card

Here is the current Summerslam card according to Meltzer: WWE Title John Cena © vs Chris Jericho World Title Batista © vs Hassan HBK vs Hulk Hogan Casket Match Undertaker vs Randy Orton Edge and Snitsky vs Kane and Matt Hardy US Title Chris Benoit © vs JBL IC Title Street Fight Carltio © vs Shelton Benjamin Big Show vs Kurt Angle The Final Match Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio Jr. Big meh overall for me. Much iof the mid-card is just the same stale mid-card matches we've been watching on RAW for a month now. I think Benoit and JBL could be good, but will probobly just be a car crash of two completely different styles. Anyone else think they might actually put the belt on Hassan?

    Planned Summerslam Card

Erm, why is that? Triple H is on hiatus for the Summer. The writers think he's a bit overexposed. Also he doesn't really want to share the spotlight with Hogan on RAW. He's spending more time learning more about the buisness end of the company from Vince.

    Planned Summerslam Card

I honestly just copied and pasted this list from another board which had it attributed to Meltzer and WON. It sounds plausible enough though, so I just assumed it to be correct. I don't see anything that wouldn't make sense being ont he card.
