    Hogan/Warrior

I think it very well may be one of the ONLY clean losses Hogan has ever had period.

    Leonard Part 6

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...&s=dvd&n=507846 Wow, just wow. I could have sworn that I had read that not too long after the films home video release, that Cosby bought the rights to it and vowed never to let it be released or aired again. This is all the proof anyone is ever going to need to convince you that eventually every film ever made will eventually be released on DVD.

    Royal Rumble 2005 DVD

I actually don't think it's even included on the disc, which is why I edited my post. I only took a quick look at the extras, but even though the back of the box says that there should be an extra match, no extra match is listed int he menu on the disc.

    Well, I just got busted

THis is ture, but Bit Torrent is far easier to use. Download the program, click the file, download, simple as that. I considser myself to by quite computer savvy, and even I find trying to navigate the newsgroups and download files from the binaries to be a pretty complicated ordeal.

    WWE DVD's

I really don't think any sales figures from the days of Coliseum Video exist, but considering how the current DVD and VHS tapes are priced to own, while the old Coliseum Tapes were mostly priced for the rental market, I think it's safe to say the DVDs of today outsel the VHS tapes of yesterday by a large number.

    Ted Dibiase news

HTM's refusal to drop the IC Belt had nothing to do with any contract negotiations. HTM didn't like the way the title change was presented to him, and refused to do the job. And while DiBiase is not an official WWF Champion, I believe he was announced as champion at a house show the day after the Twin Referee angle. He came out with the belt, and the on-screen graphic declared him WWF Champion. I could have sworn I remember reading that Honky Tonk Man either working without a contract, or really close to the end of his contract, and was threatening to run off to NWA with the belt.

    Ted Dibiase news

Dibiase was supposed to win the belt at WM 4, but HTM used the fact that he had the IC belt as leverage during contract negotiations so he didn't have to drop the belt to Savage, so Savage got the world belt instead.

    Hassan/Hogan at WM?

I imagine it'll probobly end with some screwjob involving the Iron Shiek finally getting his revenge after 11 years. Maybe it'll be a big clusterfuck with all of Hogans former and future nemesis's coming out, Seargent Slaughter, Iron Shiek, Nikolai Volkoff, and Kenzo Suzuki debuting an "I rove North Korea" gimmick.

    Trish Stratus

Despite the fact that she was the ugliest woman nont named Nicole Bass, I always wished Alundra stayed around long enough for her program with Aja Kong. I thought Aja has a lot of potential.

    Hassan/Hogan at WM?

Technically Hogan has lost 3 times at a WM, if you count the DQ loss in the tag match at WM 9.
  11. Ok, the Katie Vick is likely the most tasteless storyline any promotion is ever likely to actually do, with Big Shows Dad and Al Snows dog coming in close as well. Can anyone here think of any storylines even more tasteless then Triple H screwing a corpse? I always thought that if the Smackdown wanted to trump the RAW writers in the bad taste department they could have capitalized on the ongoing scandal at the time and given Reverend D'Von a Child Molestor gimmick. Maybe not actually have it be so direct, but have it implied or something. I'm also surprised Vince or any of the writers never had a really over the top cartoony Ku Klux Klan group come and feud with the NOD, to try and capitalize on the Jerry Springer fad. Sure, these are all dispicable ideas, but they're not likely any worse then Necrophilia, are they?

    Coliseum Video Gems

The two big matches on the Smack 'Em Whack 'Em tape are highly over rated IMHO. Not bad by any means, just not particularly great either. I don't remember what tape it is, but I remebmer renting some Coliseum Video release that had Bret Hart vs Yokozuna in a cage that I thought was really good at the time. Edit: The tape with Bret Hart vs Yokozuna in a Steel Cage is Inside the WWF

Worst feud going into a match?

If that is seriously a feud, I only need 1 guess for who came up with that one. His initials are "V.R.", and wrote a "smart" column in WWF Magazine in the mid 90's. Yeah, that was seriously the setup to a feud that led to a match at No Mercy 1999. Godfather offerd Mideon one of his Ho's backstage on RAW or Heat or whatever, and Mideon's reply was "You got any farm animals?" Well of course, The Godfather wasn't down with that, so they fought.

  17. They should have gone a different route and have Tatanka start exploiting his heritage. Have him use Dibiase's money to open a Casino and be a rich spiteful Indian upset at how his people have been treated, like Hassan and Daivari/ are today
  18. I work at a movie theater, and although the fact that we are right in the middle of a downtown of a large inner city area had something to do with it, Diary of a Mad Black Woman was easily our busiest movie this week, even with running it on 2 screens, it was still packed all weekend. Not a single white face in any of the crowds though.

How long is WM this year?

I have no problems with 5 hours as long as they keep the good matches long. The only time I have a problem with it is a situation like Wrestlemania 4 where they just try and cram as many Saturday Morning Superstars level matches in as they can.
  21. Wrestlemania 7 was pretty much just one big brainfart. Not that it was a bad show mind you, just a lot of pointlessness. The matches you mentioned mostly served to showcase new talent (Mountie, Von Eric, Bulldog) while burying talent that was on the way out, or in Tito's case, being retooled (Tito, Bravo, Warlord). Tenryu and Kiato may have been part of a talent exchange or something, as the rest of the dates they worked for Vince were mostly during the Asian tour in 1991

    20/20 Hindsight

No doubt in my mind, Luger vs Yokozuna Summerslam 1993. They easily could have pulled a years worth of feuds with Luger on top. Luger vs Ludvig Borga, Luger vs Shawn Michaels, Luger vs Diesel, Luger vs. Crush. Sure, Luger sucked, but so did Yokozuna. They could have put the belt on him just as well and had him job it back to Bret at Wrestlemania or Summerslam.
  23. I read about the Tatanka / Diamond thing on old news posts a while back searching through the archives of RSPW on Google Groups.
  24. I'm pretty sure he was a sub for Ludvig Borga. I'm not quite sure if I got the better end of that deal or not....
  25. The only controversy I ever remember hearing about Tatanka was in 1993 when Paul Diamond was caught sleeping with his wife, so they made sure that Tatanka and Max Moon were never in the ring at the same time during the Rumble becasue they were afraid Tatanka would quite literally kill Diamond right there in the middle of the ring. Diamond was released like a week later. I had always assumed taht he was released in 1996 simply because his time had past He dissapeared from August 1995 to January 1996, and even after that was only used for a few months to put over other guys.
