Why Monday for the "flagship" show?

Superstars was a great show, and I was sad to see it end it's 17 year run in 2000, even if it had been nothing but a clip show since moving to USA in 1997.

So now that he's the deadman again.....

We never got a suitable ending to the Undertaker vs Mr. Hughes feud, maybe they can do something with that. Maybe Nailz and Vince can work out their differences and we can finally get the ending to that feud as well.

Why Monday for the "flagship" show?

No,Mania debuted in 1993 alongside RAW. It was an all clip show with unfunny comedy skits with Todd Pettingail in between. Wrestlign Challange stil aired in some markets as late as 1995, and actually did occaisionally feature intereting developments. For example in 1994, Challange was hosted by Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo, and the to made a bet that if The Quebecers didn't win at Wrestlemania 10, Polo would shave off his mustache. Of course htye lost, and he DID shave it off. I Believe Challange aired over here on the netwrok that eventually amny years later became PAX TV.

Why Monday for the "flagship" show?

It was just a natural transition. Prime Time Wrestling was the big show first, then as replaced by RAW which became the main program, with Superstars being the equvilent of Smackdown. They also had Wrestling Challane and All American Wrestling which were like Heat and Velocity, and WWF Mania which was a clip show.

    Favorite DVD commentaries

The greatest commentary of all time hands down is Weird Al Yankovic and Jay Levy on UHF.

    Good/bad vignettes

Remember the Sean O'Haire videos that aired on and off for like three months and then he debuted and had no gimmick and was forgotten about after a month. Now those were entertaining. Who could forget the Ludvig Borga vigenettes? You call this the land of milk and honey? Well down here it stinks funny!

    What are accessible seats?

They're areas close to a ramp that have space large enough to park say a wheelchair in.

    Do you mean Handicap Accessible?

    WWE 24/7

See now on my digigtal cable I get just regular HBO. It's just a regular channel with set programming like any other cable.

    WWE 24/7

But the question is, will it be a premium channel like HBO where you pay one flat fee every month. Or will it be like SPice or the Playboy channel where you pay 8 bucks for 2 hours of programming. I wish WWE had worked out all the details before going public with this, I don't like that they're being so vague.

    old Observers

Ehh, Subscriptions fo the Observer are really expensive, and most of the really noteworth news gets reported on the Internet. I had a free subscription for a month, and while it was a good read, I really couldn't see me paying Daves outrageous prices to do so.

    New DVD's

They leave in on for Flair's DVD, so who knows? No they don't. Turn on Flairs debut on WWF Challange, and you'll notie the video is edited to cut away every time WWF is utterd. I didn't notice it duing the Rumble, I'll check the debut though. I know they totally cut away from parts of the Debut . I beleive on the Royal Rumble, they don't vut away, they just edit the sound.

    New DVD's

I'm sure the shows are probobly poor qualkity (as far as DVDs go) becsue they are direct VHS to DVD rips. Plus its pretty tough to get six straight hours of video on once DVD without degrading the picture quality a lot. Add in the fact that thy likely edited out any reference to "WWF" and edited out the voice of likeness of any worker that might possibly sue them, and you have one craptacular DVD.

    What should I do?

Generally, I've found most tapes on eBay to be very poor quality ninth or tenth or even more generation copies. Ever notice how some guys sell copies of all the Saturday Nights ain Events or the Clash of the Cmapions togeather? Well tapes don't last forever,a nd the quality is going to degrde after the fourtieth or fiftieth time you record someting. Case in point, my copy of Royal Rumble 1988 which I won off eBay. The thing is nearly unwatchable because the picture is warped beyond comprehention. It's blurry beyond recognition and is of little value becasue you can't actually make out anything.
  20. Yeah, usually heat starts just about when the crowd starts filing in, and they have one match on Heat before the PPV/
  21. Unfortuantly I was out tonight and my tape started about 15 mintues late so I missed the opening segment of RAW. Would anyone who taped it be willing to dub me a copy, I will gladly trade anything in my collection: http://www.geocities.com/mg1rg2/tapelist.txt Thanks

Need a copy of tonights RAW

Just for consistancy. I tape RAW every week, and I don't want to miss a week, I live in Connecticut, just tell me what you want, and I'll send you the tape. Then you can send once you receieve it.
  23. He was overweight and lazy for most of his American stints. I wouldn't have pushed him, either. Bam Bam was a really good worker considering his size. He was scheduled for a big Main Event run in both 1987 and 1995 and was screwed by Politics both times. As for his being lazy int he ring, when you're reduced to never ending feuds with Doink the Clown and Men on a Mission, tossed into Ted Debiase's Heat Vacuum Corporation storyline, and then forced to job to a non-worker at the biggest show of the year, you'd lose your motivation to put fourth effort too.

    Handheld tapes

I have a copy of the 5/19/96 MSG show whee The Kliq breaks Kayfab, it's obvious that it it a copy of a copy of a copy x100, but it's still waqtchable for the most part.
  25. THe greatest gimmick of all time was Max Moon, his gimmick was that he was an alien. He would come out in his space cosutme and he's have a run attached to his costume that would shoot off a Pyro. Then his costume would blow steam so it would look like he was hovering up the apron, but he'd really just walk up the ring steps. Best.GImmick.Ever.
