Regal isn't going to prosecute, we had a guy steal copper pipes out of our bathroom, and when he got arrested after the fact, the company wouldn't even press charges for that, and that was an open and shut case. If NATO or the MPAA decides to press charges though she's fucked.

Overall I think it was just all right. There were sequences in the film that were very, very funny, but I also felt that there were others that were just simply trying too hard to be funny and ended up being not so. I honestly though 90% of the stuff with the cops and McLovin wasn't funny at all, it just didn't do anything for me. I was a bit disappointed that the ending of the film was a bit too cliche. Guess what, in reality these fat nerdy kids are gonna arrive at the party, have their beer stolen, get their asses kicked, and get thrown out of the party, and they can certainly make that very funny and it probably would have worked a little better for me since it would have at least been logical. Perhaps I am over analyzing the film. Judged against other similar movies, this was definitely a good film, but I probably wouldn't even put it on my top 10 of the year so far. I give it a B

WCW did more then enough to shit on their own legacy throughout the final 3 years of it's existence. Vince is actually treating them better.

You're absolutely right, except two out of three WWE Films have made a profit. Actually they haven't, at least not yet. According to The financial info in the latest Observer, See No Evil and The Marine as of right now have just about broken even, WWE has yet to receive any profit from the films.

How long was Finlay/Noble before Kane came out? It went slightly under 5 minutes, and was mostly just Finlay stiffing Noble and working the leg.

Holy cow was this a bad show. No joke, this was the worst live show I've ever been to. There was NOTHING absolutely NOTHING entertaining, exciting, or enjoyable about this show, except for D-Lo Brown. The crowd was silent throughout literally 95% of Smackdown and all of ECW, in fact about 45% of the crowd left after Smackdown, and didn't even come back for ECW. Khali vs Kane was one of the worst matches I've ever seen live as well, just horrible. The majority of the "match" was Khali just putting Kane in rest holds. On the bright side, I got my picture with Balls Mahoney after the show, but it still wasn't enough so save this miserable experience.

Sattelite is cheaper and has a wider selection of channels, but is slightly less reliable and has less features. Digital Cable can get ridiculously expensive (I think I pay around 108 a month now), but has a ton of extra features including all the on demand stuff. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.

I always dug the bright neon orange singlet Kona Crush used to wear, and his entrance music kicked ass as well.

Changing moments where guys who got titles/retained...
spman replied to Boxer's topic in General Wrestling
I really can't come up with any good reason as to why Booker T should not have gone over Triple H at Wrestlemania 19. That was the most one sided feud of all time, between Triple H and his vaguely racist promos on RAW building up to the show, and Triple H always getting the advantage, Booker T definitely should have gotten the belt there, but of course you know Vince McMahon, god forbid you push someone who made a name for himself in another promotion, it might prove that maybe someone else has a good idea at some point.... -
I'm in the same boat as you only following Smackdown pretty much through reading spoilers and write ups in the Observer, but it seems to me as though this storyline has been going on forever.

Meltzer actually mentions this in this weeks Observer. Apparently part of Trumps agreement to do the show was that while they can use him for all the promotion prior to the show, after the show, he couldn't be used for any type of promotion at all. It's just a thing where he doesn't want to be associated with Wrestling for the rest of his life.

You sure it's supposed to be a "Doors" reference, and not just an in joke towards J.J. Dillon?

There's are still a handful of small local chains, but Regal and AMC are the only two big national ones left. And yeah, you probably could tell someone to go fuck off, and if you refute ever having said it, and there's no one else to back up the other persons claim, and you refuse to sign your write up, you'd probably get away with it.

I'm not going to say which major movie theater I'm a manager for (Although you have a 50/50 shot of guessing it, since there's only two left), and they essentially neuter us from firing people. Because of a very convoluted Human Resources department, you essentially have to not only do something wrong, but also admit to it to even get a warning. Then, you get three warnings, before your final warning, which is your suspension. EVen then however, if you didn't follow procedure exactly to protocol, they'll just override your suspension and allow the person to come back.

Warrior vs Rude is arguably the best match Warrior ever had in his career.

I also believe the Prime Time Wrestling show contains the odd Brainbusters vs Demolition title switch which never made any sense to me. Were Demolition holding out during contract negotiations or something? What was the point of putting the belts on the Busters so randomly, only to stick them back on Demolition a month later?

Was Karl Gotch any relation to Pro Wrestling pioneer Frank Gotch, or was the name just an homage or coincidence?

Congress Asks Vince McMahon For WWE Testing Details & Results
spman replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
From reading Meltzer's reports and analysis for the past 2 weeks in The Observer, I can tell you for a fact that the WWE and Vince McMahon learned absolutely nothing from the Zahorian trial and are playing the same type of media blame game that they were back then. Short of being forced to legally, nothing is ever going to change the mans mindset. -
I was actually in attendance for the oft-forgotten one and only WWE taping in HD in September 2006. It was a Smackdown House Show that was set up like a TV taping, and included backstage promos and all that, but I don't think they ever used the footage for anything. They displayed the HD picture on the video monitors, and it really didn't look half bad, I'd be interested to see more.

I was thinking today, whatever happened to Mike Knox? He was no great shakes or anything but he seemed to be the break out guy during the early days of WWECW, even being the token ECW representative on the heel team at Survivor Series. After they completely reshuffled the ECW roster though he just got lost in the shuffle and ended up back in Deep South until they closed up. Anyone know what Knox has been doing lately? Is he wrestling in Keirn's new Florida promotion?

Heh, yeah who doesn't mark for the Uncle Elmer wedding? I hate the music edit during the opening of SNME however. Is the music license from Animotion really that expensive?

Depends on what you wanna see and how long you plan to be there. A 3 day park hopper pass with admission to the water park is going to run you 309 dollars per person, and the prices go up from there.

I heard on the radio That she was offering news outlets cash for photo opportunities so she could get more drugs, which I interpreted as her either at or on her way to being flat broke, either that or someone has control of her money that isn't her. It may not even be true, but given her circumstances as of late, I certainly would believe it. I know I've read that no one wants to cast her in films anymore, and this new movie she's in looks like it's headed straight for the Wal-Mart 5 dollar bin, so we'll see.

Ugh, I got Saturday Nights Main Event, but Survivor Series 1993 was extended 2 more weeks and I didn't get the Great American Bash.

Disney is worth it if you're spending a week there and have plenty of time to check everything out, because there is there is just an endless amount of things to see and do there. If you get in right as the park opens, you should be able to hit most of the major rides with minimal wait, but definitely use the fast pass because by mid-afternoon the lines just aren't worth the wait in the brutal heat. Disney also gets kind of a bad rep for being mostly for kids, but that couldn't be further from the truth. there's plenty there for everyone. I've never personally been to Universal, but I've heard that it's rides top Disney's, even though they've replaced a lot of the old classics over the years like Back to the Future and Alfred Hitchcock. In the end though, Disney is still Disney, but if you have the money it might be worth it to spend at least one day at Universal. Either way, bring lots of Credit Cards because you will probably end up blowing close to a grand between the parks no matter which one you go to.
