    Viscera

Then WWE Creative should do something about it instead of putting out drivel. I don't find watching Viscera sexually harassing Divas particularly entertaining, but that's just me.

Happy ending: Tony gets out of predicament with Mandy and he and Michelle walk away from CTU during the sunrise (show ends in the morning) 24 ending: Tony eats it and Michelle ends up a wreck like everyone else who dedicates their lives to CTU a la Jack.

Yeah, where is Kotz on this? I'm concerned and wish her well. According to reports, it is early detection so hopefully things will turn out OK.

    NBA Playoffs

Being a Bad Boys fan from that era, I have had to defend that team against Laker fan boys who said that IF Magic and Byron hadn't been hurt, the Lakers would've 3 peated. I disagree and feel that the Pistons were the better team and while they might not have swept the Lakers that year, they would've beaten them in 5-7 for sure. It was just the Pistons year in '89.

    NBA Playoffs

Go figure the Heat sweep their way to the conference finals while the other 3 series are turning into some nice looking 6-7 game wars. Miami probrably doesn't care who wins between Indy and Detroit since both pose different matchup problems for the Heat, they are just pulling for it to go 7 which will give their guys about 7-8 days of rest.

They actually did a good hype job with the video packages on Impact and I may just order this show.

Most hard luck player on your favorite team

Being a Kings fan, I'll say Chris Webber although he is no longer a King. I was a fan of his game since he was at Michigan, where he will be remembered in infamy for calling timeout when they didn't have one. That play gets more hype than it should. First off, UNC had the lead. It wasn't guaranteed that if Michigan got a shot off that it would tie or take a lead. The errant timeout basically sealed the deal. Also he was trapped toward his bench and 2 of his teammates were yelling for him to call timeout. This was verified by them on some show a bunch of years back. It is still Webber's responsibility to know what the timeout situation is, but I could see where that could happen to anyone. C-Webb just gets the flack. In his career with the Kings, he helped take the Kings to final games in some playoff series (1999-Game 5 against Utah, 2000-Game 5 against LAL, 2002-Ganme 7 against LAL) but came up short in the win column as well as the stat sheet. As Skip Bayless has said and I believe, C-Webb has loser intangibles.

    NBA Playoffs

While the Sonics got the win, I don't feel confident about their chances. The Spurs big 3 missed a total of 14 free throws and they still had a shot to tie or win at the end. I don't think that'll happen again. If this particular series goes 6 or 7, I'll be surprised. To counter that, I don't think we'll see another Ray Allen scoreless 4th quarter either. Just a hunch, I am willing to bet the Spurs defensively adjust big time on the Ridnour/James pick and roll which was just killing the Spurs all night. I swear James was looking like Chamberlain out there with that one play.

    WWE news

Agreed. The same with Rocky Maivia became "The Rock" to show his vain/pompous heel persona, Edge becomes "The Edge". After some thought, I wholeheartedly agree with these sentiments. Also, if Rock ever came back for another one match deal while "The" Edge was on top, you have a match up of pompous heel versus pompous face. Speaking of Edge, I get this haunting feeling if they put Edge and Lita together, their heel heat will blow HHH's out of the water. (which it does now even with them apart, but together it could be nuclear) Can any of you see HHH doing some backstage burial skits with these guys a la Christian from the England Raw taping? HHH is very insecure and I don't think he's about to let Edge and Lita overtake him as top heel.
  10. I heard Rome harping on this and just couldn't resist.. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylc=X3oD...ov=ap&type=lgns Airport police find Vikings' Smith with kit to beat drug tests By GREGG AAMOT, Associated Press Writer MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Vikings running back Onterrio Smith, who has a history of violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, was briefly detained by airport police last month after they found an elaborate kit used to beat drug tests. Police at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport questioned Smith on April 21 after a search of his bag discovered vials of white powder, according to a police report. Smith told officers it was dried urine used in conjunction with a device called ``The Original Whizzinator.'' The officer who filed the report wrote that Smith ``told me that it was dried urine for making a clean urine test.'' In addition, he had a bottle of pills labeled ``cleansing formula.'' Smith told police he was taking the vials to his cousin. The police report didn't say where Smith was traveling. The Star Tribune first reported the story Wednesday. ``We will continue to monitor the situation as we would with any other and evaluate it from there,'' coach Mike Tice said in a statement Wednesday. Smith's agent, Douglas Hendrickson, didn't immediately return a message left at his office. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said league rules state that failing to cooperate with a drug test was the same as failing it, but he wasn't sure whether there was any penalty for possessing a device designed to beat such a test. Smith was suspended last season for four games after testing positive for marijuana. It was his second ``strike'' in the NFL's substance-abuse program. He would earn a yearlong suspension for a third violation. The report filed April 26 says a tube of toothpaste set off an alarm as a bag Smith was carrying was being scanned. Six or seven vials of white powder were discovered in the bag. Smith was detained, questioned and allowed to leave, the report said. In 2000, Smith was kicked out of Tennessee for using marijuana. He finished his college career at Oregon. Smith rushed for 579 yards as a rookie and led the Vikings last season with 544 yards.

I think the Miami and SA series aren't going to go past 5 games. The Detroit/Indy and Phoenix/Dallas series may still have life if both teams can tie their respective series up tonight. I am not giving up hope on those series going to 6 or 7 games.

Former WWE Writer Chris Kreski Passes Away

That is correct sir. HHH didn't want Steph to be with Angle and breakup in storyline because A) his relationship with Steph had just really started heating up the last 6 months or so by this time behind the scenes and B) even though he'd be a babyface, he'd be third rung on the ladder behind Austin and Rock, no matter how hot the angle was. He would rather be top heel than 3rd banana on the face-o-meter. And thus began the spiral downward.......

Kellen Winslow Jr's career potentially over

While I think they should try to get back all the money they can, they will probrably be cautious about how much because if they go for the throat, they risk the wrath of the Player's Association stepping in and making things ugly. I could see this getting ugly if the Browns and/or Winslow get too greedy.

    DUSTY'S GONE!!!!

They should get rid of Dusty as a TV character as well, or at least get to phasing him out soon. The on TV authority figure is part of WWE's template of how to do wrestling and TNA needs to format it's programs so it's more like an alternative to WWE, not a low rent version of it.

Former WWE Writer Chris Kreski Passes Away

I feel bad that he died, but there was no chance in hell of him coming back to "save" the WWE. He went from writing storylines for WWE to Hollywood, where the job is A) higher paying and B) more prestigious. Writing for Hollywood is where it's at, not for WWE unless that is specifically where you want to be which is why "wrestling" people should be writing the TV, not Hollywood hopefuls. Still, RIP Mr. Kreski.

Kellen Winslow Jr's career potentially over

I equated Winslow's "soldier" comments more with a poor attempt at some street cred. I believe his comment was more hip hop influenced than anything. It comes off goofy because he's trying to come off like a bad ass, but he's had a very priveleged upbringing that doesn't make sense in the hip hop world. It would be like if Grant Hill said in an after game interview that he and his teammates need to "ride or die". It just comes off unnatural and stupid and "Hellen" Winslow deserves riducule for that, IMO.

Cornette Given Leave of Absence by WWE

Methinks WWE higher ups underestimate Cornette like they do with Heyman. Both men have their different visions of what wrestling should be (Cornette=Southern style, Heyman=Hardcore style) and WWE just uses them to supposedly "develop" the talent. When either of these 2 geniuses of wrestling step up to give their opinions on how things should go with certain guys or whatever, Creative craps on them and chalks it up to them being two crazy guys who aren't adaptive or flexible when it comes to WWE's "entertainment style" of wrestling programming. I'm just disappointed when WWE ignores Cornette or Heyman's common sense suggestions and goes with whatever flies out of Vince/Steph/Gewirtz/HHH's head.

Add Matt Morgan to the list of those whose strengths have been limited and weaknesses brought out to light. He cuts a damn good straight promo and they cuff him with a STUTTERING GIMMICK THAT HE CAN'T DO WELL AT ALL!!!
  22. After seeing the ticket prices for the ECW show, I think it is a good move by ROH. First off the 2700 or so tickets for Hammerstein will go on the first day, even with ticket prices of $400, $250, and $150. ROH is the more affordable alternative, although the ECW show is once in a lifetime, so it's up to the consumer. ROH is also smart in that it is not running at the same time, it's running before the ECW show, so if you are a hardcore wrestling fan, you could probrably go to both.

    NBA Playoffs

NoCalMike and Slim Citrus are mourning yet another Kings playoff ouster. Oh well, 29 other teams end their season in disappointment every year as well since only 1 team wins it all. My rantings about the Kings-Sonics... -Kings had absolutely NO answer for Ray Allen or Jerome James. Ray Allen I understand, but Jerome James? Come on. The Kings bigs showed ZERO heart in this series. The garbage bag bit is lame as well. In the next series, Tim Duncan or Kenyon Martin/Marcus Camby will not give two shits if Mr. James flies in with a garbage bag cape. He will be exposed in the next series. -Bibby and Peja weren't on the same page until game 5, and then the rest of the team disappeared. I'd retain Bibby in this offseason, but Peja has to go. He's a regular season gem, but only shows up half the time in the playoffs and disappears when it's either game 7 or an elimination game. Chris Webber was right about him. Then again, Webber saying what he said is like the pot calling the kettle black. - Kings really need to look at their personnel right now since they are in a transitional phase right now. I'd keep Bibby and Miller for sure since good point guards and centers are hard to come by. Everyone else on that roster is expendable IMO. Since Bibby and Miller's primary weakness is they are not the most athletic people at their positions, the Kings may want to shore that up with some guys who are, oh I don't know, athletic? Guys who can recover when Bibby and Miller's guys go around them defensively. Guys who will rebound the ball when you need rebounds. -I know this is typical, but I need to call out Rick Adelman's decisions here. If JEROME JAMES is killing you, why didn't he use Skinner and Ostertag more? Why did Adelman go more with Thomas and Williamson, who are WAY smaller than James, as opposed to going tall for tall? After James killed the Kings for 3 straight games, I figured Adelman would've adjusted, but no. I get that coaches shorten the rotation in playoff time, but when Jerome James is looking like Shaq against you, you should try something else. Anyhoo, congrats to the Sonics and MrRant (only TSM Sonics fan I know of) who were flat out the better team in this series. I will say after watching them that the Sonics will go as far as Ray Allen can take them, but it will be up to the rest of his team to come along with him.

    NBA Playoffs

Kings deserved to lose that one, although I like that they kept fighting and made the Sonics sweat a little in the fourth. While I don't think the Sonics will allow another collapse of a 21 point lead again, I also don't think you are going to see Mike Bibby shoot so poorly again in this series either. Guys like him don't stay that way for long. I am not giving up hope that the Playoffs won't have good games. Hell, the NCAA tournament this year took until day 2 to get the drama going and everyone was all bent out of shape because there weren't any close games on the first day. Fucking fast food nation we have here, I tells ya! Gotta have everything right now or else.

    This "week" in the NBA

The Bulls are through. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for them, but they are too injured and too inexperienced to deal with most of the teams in the East that have any kind of experience. I do give them a shot if they match up with Wash. or Cleveland, but with Deng and Curry out, I'm not sure they have enough.
