Some quick thoughts right before one of the biggest games in baseball history... -I have a gut feeling this game will NOT be the barn burner everyone is making it out to be. I think it might be a score of like 9-3 or 6-1 or something. The hype might not get lived up to. -Top of Yankees order has hit like crap the last 3 games. I don't expect that to happen again. -To counter, Manny Ramirez hasn't done shit because he hasn't had the chance to bat anyone in because no one is getting on base before him. For the Sox to win, I think Man Ram has to have guys to hit in. -I agree with Cold Pizza's Woody Paige, the team that uses the most pitchers will lose this game. -I like Kevin Brown's chances a hell of a lot more than Derek Lowe, but we'll see. -Yankees have Rivera available with rest. This will be huge if the Sox can't get anything going. -It's the curse vs. something magical. Who is going to be THE man tonight?

I agree that Ghost's solo albums are pretty decent/good, but for some reason he doesn't sound right when the Wu are a collective unit.

Gene Snitsky... the next big monster.
Dangerous A replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
I also don't mind the Snitsky push since at least it's a new, fresh face getting a push, but I wish they would've came up with a different name for him. Snitsky sounds like he's a pencil pushing accountant or something. They'll probrably fuck up this push within the next month or so. Creative can't help but fuck this up. -
My tasteless comments would be for Max because I don't like his show, but it sucks when you lose a relative. Condolences to Max and his family. Hopefully I'll be sending out condonlences on Max's lame ass show pretty soon as well.

geniusmoment is all over it. It's the images of MJ messing with kids in the video. There is nothing racist about it and MJ isn't the subject in the song. Benzino is a big bitch who's still upset that he hasn't gotten near the noteriety he thought he'd get from feuding with Em a year and a half ago. Doesn't surprise me in the least that he'd step up to take a shot at Em. I'm banking Ja Rule and The Inc. will be next on the "leave Michael alone" bandwagon.

If the Yanks melt down tommorrow and lose, Steinbrenner will lose his mind and sign Johnson, Pedro, AND Carlos Beltran. I can seriously see him losing his mind and doing that if his team gives up a a 3 game lead to the Red Sox.

Then call me stupid. I guess I'm stupid for thinking a man who does necrophilia, incest, and abortion angles does not have class. What is wrong with me?

If it's a go tonight and with both bullpen's shot, who is the favorite if there is a game tonight?

I gotta bump this again in hopes that other people will join up. So far, we've got a grand total of 5 It is a public league and it's only been available for 4 days now, so maybe I just need to be patient. Still, can't wait for the season.

Since Nader was brought up, I'll steer this thread in a little different direction. Nader was on CNBC yesterday promoting his candidacy and his book and said that they took stats of people who are going to be voting for Nader and asked if Nader wasn't available to vote for, who would you vote for instead. Nader said that 52% said that they would vote for Bush with 43% voting Kerry and the rest voting elsewhere or not voting. He brought this up as a case to say that he is not stealing votes from Dems because it's not automatic that Nader voters would automatically vote for Kerry. Do you think this is correct? Is Nader lying? Are Dems wrong to say that it's Nader's fault they lost the election in 2000? What do you think?

It's ok. I caught this last sunday's episode. Nothing to write home about. They should name it what ABC intends for the show to be- The MILF Hour.

"The War on Terror can't be won." No shit. I didn't need some piece of shit like Seymour Hersh to tell me that. Tell me something I don't know. You can't win a war against a tactic.

It's sad to see where this thread went to. Comparing Em and MJ is just dumb. They are different musical animals. If you want to lump them as pop music, then it's no contest. MJ wins. However, Em is talented, but also abrasive. The thread was about Steve Harvey's comments, which look to me like someone is overreacting. Harvey needs to chill, it's not like he hasn't offended anyone in his act or with his godawful TV show. Geez, the people in this thread are morons.

I was listening to talk radio the other night and caught the maker of a new documentary called "FahrenHYPE 9/11" which "supposedly" is bi-partisan and supposed to be a rebuttal against some of the things shown in Michael Moore's movie "Fahrenheit 9/11". Here is the link to the homepage and you can watch a small trailer of it there as well.... http://www.fahrenhype911.com/ Thoughts? (I wonder if and when this will possibly get moved to CE?)

Very cool quote, Verne. What is the source?

This was a very, very funny movie. I actually found the stuff where they capped on liberal hollywood less funny than everything else since it seems they just lumped all the liberal hollywood folks together and went off of name value as opposed to developing them as individuals. The whole dick/pussy/asshole analogy is comic gold. The songs were awesome. This is the best movie to come out this fall, IMO. BTW, we know how Sean Penn feels about the movie, but are there any other celebs that were portrayed as liberal hollywood in the movie that have spoken out against the movie? Just wondering is all.

With their final pick, Team 2005 and Beyond selects... G Doug Christie Good luck, gentlemen!

Question for everyone. Do you think it is wrong for talk show guests and hosts to submarine each other? I remember Rosie O'Donnel throwing Tom Selleck off guard on her show years ago and giving him the third degree about him being in the NRA and whatnot when he was out on her show to promote a movie. Pretty much the same thing with Stewart except he was the guest. Is is wrong to go on a show under false pretenses thinking you are going on for one thing, but then coming under attack? Just trying to take this thread to another level in the same vein is all.

GreatOne's got a zinger there, C-Bacon. Gotta hate that slippery slope, eh?

Folks shouldn't be listening to Nelly anyways. He's a hack, no matter what the hell he is rapping about. Nelly is just telling people the truth though. I find it funny that the article mentioned Jay-Z and P Diddy as heading to the political arena. Since when? Was it when Jay-Z was going on about how he's got 99 problems and a bitch ain't one? What's the message there? How about Jay and Diddy talking about how people need to go out and vote, yet neither one of these guys has cast a vote, ever. I love Jay-Z's music, but he can keep his politics to himself. Diddy can rot in hell for all I care. He's as musically bad as Nelly.

I see 3 other people so far. We should get a good turnout here pretty soon. I even have a tentative lineup for opening night... PG Mike Bibby SG Kobe Bryant SF Carmelo Anthony PF Kenyon Martin C Brad Miller Coach Larry Brown That lineup cost 99.0 out of 100.00 Pretty good if you ask me. Another thing is the player values are pretty low IMO. Take a look.
-
I agree with that because I think he has a lot of common sense, but I think he is having too much fun doing what he's doing now to take a more serious turn towards any mainstream avenues.
-
That's what I was going for, SP-1.

Eh, why watch Crossfire? It sucks. Sounds to me like Stewart is all "my show is comedy, so I can do whatever the fuck I want, but you have to live up to my standard" crap. If Stewart doesn't like the direction of Crossfire, don't fuckin watch it. Crybaby ass motherfucker!
