Any GM who takes Telfair over Jameer Nelson needs their head examined. Nelson was one of the top Atlantic 10 players, EVER. While I don't doubt Telfair has potential to be good, I will take a proven leader who is physically and mentally mature to be a point guard in the league over the first under 6'0 high school player to enter the NBA draft. A lot of coaches are sacrificial lambs for the incompetent GM's in this league. Not saying Floyd was the answer in NO or Stotts in A-Town, but look at how many coaching changes have occurred in the last season and a half. While some of it is finding the right coach with the right philosophy and the right personnel, a lot of it is the GM's in the league not giving the coaches the personnel that will fit their systems. There are a lot of so-so players who have been given big money contracts that aren't getting the job done, but the first person's head on the chopping block is the coach. To add to the second paragraph, the Nuggets are nuts if they don't extend Bzdelik. How do you screw a guy who just helped the franchise reach the playoffs for the first time in 9 years? If Bzdelik gets canned, he should have no trouble finding a head coaching job and I wish him success in doing so. I'd also wish a curse upon the Nuggets organization for screwing over a perfectly good coach who did his job right.

Remakes of overrated movies are always a bad idea. Clockwork Orange wasn't a bad movie, but I wouldn't label it classic by any means. That's just me, though.

It was extremely important for the Spurs to win Game 1 from a psychological point of view. Phil Jackson led teams don't lose when they win game 1. The Lakers must take game 2 to stay competitive because the Spurs are good enough to take one game in LA, possibly even two. Kings/T-Wolves won't take place until Tuesday. The Kings are in the same boat as the Lakers in that they have to take one of the first two games on the road to stay in it. The Kings also have to finish this off in 6 games because I don't see them beating the T-Wolves in a 7th game in Minnesota. It was announced that KG will be named League MVP tommorrow. (big shocker there) NJ/Detroit will be a war. If NJ takes game 1, I wouldn't even think about trying to forcast that series. NJ is rested up now, which has to be a concern for the Pistons.

I find it funny that I've read at different times from different posters that this is the internet, so people should lighten up. Yet, it only applies to people who appear to be "cool". Basically, you have to "fit in" here at TSM. That is the feeling I get. Some want to chastise DrTom and Chris Coey for being "jerks" because they are unapologetic about their posts and don't play around when schooling someone. Or they don't get their sarcasm and brand of humor. Or they aren't following fellow posters advice about this being the internet, so lighten up. I guess we only lighten up on folks when they are deemed "cool". Not me. I'll still post whatever the fuck I want around here, but at the same time I'm not gonna shit on Coey or Tom because people here don't see them as "cool". There are plenty of dickhead posters out here who just post nonsense or one liners. I'll take the dickhead poster who can at least argue and back themselves up with substance. TSM: Whatever you do, don't bring the quality or content here! You won't fit in.

This is all much ado about nothing. Artest won and he deserves it. Right now, I bet Artest would love to have what Bowen won last year:an NBA Championship Ring.

My inner child is hurt and has run into a corner to cry from seeing that image. Damn you, Deebo.

Big Name Rappers To Appear At WWE Pay-Per View?

Post of the Day. -
I will be the first to admit that I had my doubts. If you go to page 1 of this thread, I predicted the Mavs in 6 because of the way the Kings ended the season. I am happy to see the Kings take care of the Mavs in 5. That was the best game of the playoffs so far. Here is something to think about. The Kings lost the Pacific division on the last night of the season by losing to the Warriors on the road and 2 hail mary 3 pointers by Kobe against the Blazers. With the way things aligned with Sac getting the 4 seed and the Lakers getting 2, that also sent the Lakers on a collision course with the West's hottest team, the defending champion Spurs. Now the Kings ended up with a not-so-defensive-minded Mavs team that has been vanquished and will probrably face a T-Wolves team that has lost Troy Hudson for the rest of the year and Sczerbiak for an unknown time with a back injury. It'll be interesting to see if the Kings can make something of this. Problem they face is no homecourt against any of the remaining teams in the West. NJ/Detroit will be a hell of a series. I think that should go 6 or 7 games. Kenyon Martin vs Rasheed Wallace is gonna contain a ton of 'tude. It'll be interesting to see which one throws the first shove/punch.

SD is going to be hurting bad now. GM Angle sucks and they needed In Ring Angle badly. SD has nothing to look forward to except Eddie and hopefully Cena won't bottom out. Otherwise, SD looks to be a way far inferior show. Angle should retire. Play with his little girl or something. This company is not worth a wheelchair.

It is known that one of, if the THE hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball, I'm not so sure that was taken into account when ESPN put this list together. I think the list is based more on physical performance. It all depends on how you look at it. Baseball is more mental and the game is based on errors, at least on the Major league level. However, it's really hard to measure a lot of what's needed to succeed in sports. I think in one way or another, the following are all hard to do: 1) Hitting a Major League Baseball Pitcher's Fastball 2) Get a jumpshot off over the outstretched hand of an NBA player 3) Run up the middle of an NFL's Defensive Line and get at least 2 yards 4) Knockout a ranked Prize Fighter in Boxing 99.9% of us cannot do any of these things, I don't care how tight you think you are. I'm not sure a list can truly capture how hard a lot of these things are.

Update On Future Of Steve Austin In The WWE
Dangerous A replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Agreed. Austin is a cripple and can't carry guys anymore and Goldberg really only knows how to work squash matches well. -
The Lakers/Spurs series is going at least 6 games, if not 7. The Lakers will go as far as Shaq takes them and who knows how far that will be with the reports of a sore knee. Malone will try to frustrate Duncan and intimidate him, but that probrably won't be effective. I don't understand the Bowen love over Kobe bit. If you look back at last year's series, Kobe averaged 32 a game against the Spurs in the series lost and the previous year he averaged 26 against Bowen. Kobe will do what Kobe does. For the Spurs, I think it hinges on Parker and Ginobili coming off the bench. They are the real Laker killers in this series because Duncan is going to get his, no matter which Laker is guarding him. It's up to Payton and Fisher to try to keep Parker from balling out of control and the Laker bench has to try to match the energy and playmaking Ginobili brings off the Spurs bench. This will be an excellent series.

Which section of Outkast's last album did you think was better? I thought the album as a whole was great, but I liked Speakerboxx just a tad better than Love Below.

I like Doc as a coach, but the Celts need more talent if they hope to go anywhere. So far, I don't like any of the moves Danny Ainge has made, especially when they got rid of Eric Williams and Tony Battie. Those guys were good role players.

I will wholeheartedly agree that Batista is improving by leaps and bounds in the last month alone. You are starting to see him get more comfortable in front of the crowds and his personality as the monster enforcer is starting to show through. I don't think he should be given a God push just yet though. Even though I am not a fan of his tag team with Flair, I think him working with Flair has helped him with the in ring department. He almost can't help but get better in ring hanging with Flair and HHH. The reason I think he should have a slow burn push right now instead of the God push is because he has to have a restart of sorts. Right now he is seen as the guy most likely to job out of the four Evolution guys. I say slowly get him to a ME spot and with his improvements in ring as a power wrestler along with the better mic work, we just may have a money player on our hands.

NCJ has his finger on the pulse here. Those are the two most boring series to watch. They are both Eastern Conference series. That coupled with the "where will Eli go" drama and yeah, I would watch the Draft too. Notice that the article didn't mention what the rating was for game 3 of the Mavs/Kings.

The actual worse song of all time isn't even on their list. That would be "Mmmbop" by Hanson. I've had homicidal fantasies when I hear that song played. That is all.

AJPW 3 belts that make up the Triple Crown. They look old and all, but that actually helps my love for them. If I could even have replicas of those titles, I'd have them.

Acting like a dick is weird for me. I only hate certain people when their dickishness rubs me the wrong way. For instance, I am OK with Vince Carter when he is woofing on someone, but can't stand it when Kobe Bryant does it. I don't know why, but it gets to me. I see where the Nuggets bench were not angels during the game today, but it didn't come off bad to me. Sprewell came off bad for me. Don't know why, it just did. I think the T-Wolves will quit fucking around and put this team away in 5. The Kings pulled a win out of their ass last night. If they don't win on Thursday, the series will go seven games for sure because there is no way Sacto wins another road game in this series. I think NO/Miami is up for seven games as well. It means shit in the end because the winner will be mince meat for the Pacers. The Pacers have to be on cloud nine since they will face a weak NO/Miami team, then a beat up NJ or Detroit team en route to the Finals. From there, all bets are off though.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread
Dangerous A replied to Spicy McHaggis's topic in Television & Film
At first I thought Michelle was out of the woods when her test came back negative, but with her now in Saunders hands, who knows. 24 will off just about anybody, which is why I am such a big fan. I think Tony will fry for this in the end, Palmer will drop out of the election for his part in the cover up of Miliken's death, Michelle will come out of this at least emotionally scarred, and Jack will make it through so he can have another bad day next season. -
My oh my, how the mighty have fallen. SD seems damn near unwatchable now. The pendulum has certainly swung in favor of Raw. Let's see here. Eddie vs Buh Buh or HBK vs Benoit (this coming Raw ME). That's a no-brainer. Hell, even this weeks ME of Flair/Batista vs Edge/Benoit sounds better than the SD ME.

I think Tim Duncan's trophy comm is the funniest, with Dirk Nowitzki's following in a close second. Jason Kidd's comm is funnier than Payton's, who I consider to be fourth in funny.

Don't read too much into this. Japanese promoters often grandstand in the media because the media over there actually covers pro wrestling.(like in the sports sections of papers and stuff, not like here where wrestling is reviled) Plus, it's from Inoki. Inoki often talks out of his ass. He has been saying that Mike Tyson is going to fight for NJPW for the last 15 years or so and it hasn't even come close to happening. Until you see Austin sign a contract, don't look into this with any salt.

So Rock doesn't like HHH. Does that mean he's racist? If Rock doesn't like you, I guess it means your automatically a racist. Big deal if HHH doesn't suck up to Rock. The two guys don't like each other. Why should HHH suck up to him? And so what if HHH doesn't like other minority wrestlers. Doesn't mean shit. I haven't read that any major white wrestlers like other minority wrestlers either. You say you haven't seen HHH job to a black man cleanly except Rock since being champ in 99. Guess what, neither have Austin or Undertaker. Guess they are the 3 man Klan in the back or something. But hey, I guess Shelton doesn't count. That was as clean a finish that you would get out of ANY ME'er from the Attitude Era. Until you come up with something from a credible source, your evidence HHH is a racist is extremely circumstantial. You could say the same stuff for Austin or Taker and it would sound just about the same and I don't think any of the 3 are racists. They are backstage politicians to the death, but not racists.
