    New Diva signed

I like it, especially if it brings Haas along. Also, I fully expect RRR/Gayda/Bukkake references throughout the TNA folders and this thread.

    NBA Week 1

I am gonna wait until I see Amare actually playing. While the core players are still there, he still has to adjust to some new guys in the system. Houston is right there, but they need a killer instinct transplant pronto to go from very good to elite.
  3. ...and if you are 18-34 and are trick or treating without a kid, you've got problems that need addressing with a professional.

    NBA Week 1

Yeah, there seems to be a lot more parity this year, but it's early. The Spurs are the favorite OUT OF THE WEST. Those are key words. Indiana, Detroit, and Miami have just as good a shot to beat SA in a seven game series if they make it. The West basically has one very elite team and the rest are a notch or two below them. If Amare were healthy, there'd be two teams vying for Western supremacy. The East have more title contenders this year than the West IMO.
  5. Good point. I forgot that the NBA started on Tuesday. I'm a tool. Well, the Raw excuse is the male demographic of 18-34, the most coveted, were all out trick or treating.
  6. It was that damned NBA kicking off with 4 games that did it, I tells ya!

    NBA Week 1

Baron has tweaked his hamstring and may not play versus Utah on Friday. Still, the Warriors played well in the second half even without Davis. The Hawks were putting the scare there for a half though and they'll cause matchup problems some nights because they have a bunch of tweeners who are all athletic and long. However, they won't matchup well most nights, meaning they'll still be on the losing end most games. Still, should be fun to watch. I still don't understand having Joe Johnson as a starting PG. While Ty Lue isn't the answer, he's a better option in the backcourt setting Joe Johnson up.

    NBA Week 1

I agree. The Nuggets had chances to put the game away and didn't. There were costly turnovers and missed free throws. I just can't believe some of the calls down the stretch, specifically the phantom Carmelo offensive foul call. He had both hands on the ball, so I don't know how he hooked him and his defender didn't hit the floor.

    NBA Week 1

Don't forget about the supposed "block" Kobe did on Camby while he was going to the hoop, although Andre Miller was there to put the shot back in. On the replay, that was a fucking foul. Still, Kobe gets away with murder in crunch time. Nice to see there isn't any rust on the part of the officials in regards to the "superstar" treatment of Kobe.

The Danger Zone is no more

Effective immediately, there won't be any more episodes of the "Danger Zone" for the forseeable future. Between work, dental procedures, and my wife, I cannot make the committment to doing a weekly show. Admin has let me know that if any of you are interested in doing your own show, that you can email him at [email protected]. If you really are interested in doing it, drop him a line. He was basically 80% of the show, I just provided the commentary and such. If you want to know how I got started with podcasting, PM me and I'll let you know what's up. Thanks to everyone who gave me their support. I really enjoyed doing it and still crave to learn more about doing radio in the future from a technical/school standpoint, although I may lean towards doing traditional sports talk radio as opposed to wrestling since that has so many peaks and valleys. DA PS: this was also posted at the end of the Dames thread. Can we get a mod to pin this so it doesn't get in the way of real news?

    FastBreak fantasy game from ESPN

I do believe so. They will go up or down, depending on how the player is performing.

    NBA Week 1

I figured the Kings would get beat the Rockets tonight, but at least they looked a little better offensively. Bibby looks to have put on some muscle mass lately and it seems to be slowing him down. I still hate the effort for loose balls and shit, so the Kings better buckle down here very soon and start getting in gear. Warriors are getting thoroughly out hustled by the Hawks right now. Troy Murphy is the only guy playing and the Warriors backcourt is playing like the Kings backcourt last night, going 6-23 at the half. Also, the Warriors have 17 turnovers with 9 minutes to go in the THIRD QUARTER! Lakers and Nuggets is pretty close, but very sloppy by both teams.

    Two more TNA specials announced

Spike wants to get behind TNA because it gets all the ad revenue for Impact. Beating WWE is probrably also on their minds, but money is and should be the driving force here.

    Good lifting plan?

Brian is all over it. The better condition you are in, the more you can (and should) eat. You just have to be mindful of what you eat and how you excercise is all.

50 Cent disses Kanye and New Orleans, praises Bush

I guess, but to me that's a stretch. He said "people". He didn't say "Bush responded the best way they can". He said "people", which could mean anyone who responded to the disaster- celebrities, athletes, musicians, government officials, etc. I guess he needs to single out Bush for me to consider the story being 50 praises Bush.

    NBA Week 1

I think the Lakers will do fine on the road since Denver had to play in SA last night. Not saying they'll win, but they'll look good. Kwame is a question mark going into tonight though with a sprained thumb.

50 Cent disses Kanye and New Orleans, praises Bush

I fail to see where 50 "praises Bush" in the article. He disagrees with Kanye about Katrina sure, but that doesn't automatically mean it's praising Bush. I'm no 50 fan, but this story looks much ado about nothing. It's the AP trying to stir up shit and I hope Kanye and 50 have enough sense to do a sit down and tell each other what's up.

My Gut Feeling On Vince And His Booking

Add to that the potential disaster of the upcoming WWE Films and WWE could be looking at some substantial money losses in the next year, year and a half. Guess that's why they are going to be keeping all that extra loose cash around, eh? (for those not in the know, at the quarterly investors meetings, investors constantly ask why WWE keeps an exorbitant amount of cash on hand as opposed to investing it)

    OAO Impact Special Thread

If I were TNA, I'd want a two hour show more than a head to head spot like Chris said. The break neck pace of their saturday shows is gonna wear thin soon here and they need to slow down a smidge, at the same time, two hours give them the chance to get more guys and storylines over to help sell ppv's, since that is a huge revenue stream for them since Spike gets the ad rev.

    Good lifting plan?

Boneless, skinless, marinated chicken breasts are the way to go. Get a Foreman grill if you don't already have one. Takes 5 minutes to heat up and 7 minutes to thoroughly grill a decent sized chicken breast. Also, try to eat leaner cuts of beef. Just a personal preference, but Turkey Burgers aren't as bad as they sound and they have a lot less fat to them. Protein shakes and bars are ok, but if you can get real food, get it.

    NBA Week 1

Looks like Scoop Jackson from ESPN's Page Two isn't too thrilled with Phil Jackson's recent comments... Whoa. Someone has a beef with the Zen Master.

    Good lifting plan?

I'd start out simple at first. You don't want to fall into the trap of burning out after only a few weight workouts. Also, don't go for total heavyweights either. Wait about a month or so. I'd start out simple.. Chest Flat bench dumbell presses, 2 sets, 12-15 reps Incline Dumbell presses, 2 sets, 12-15 reps Back Lat Pulldowns, 2 sets, 12-15 reps chinups or assisted chinups, 2 sets, 10-12 reps Triceps Dumbell kickbacks, 2 sets, 10-12 reps skull crushers, 2 sets, 12-14 reps Biceps Alternating dumbell curls, 2 sets, 12-15 reps preacher curls, 2 sets, 10-12 reps Shoulders Arnold presses, 2 sets, 10-12 reps Shoulder machine preses, 2 sets, 10-12 reps Legs Squats, 2 sets, 10-12 reps calf raises, 2 sets, 10-12 reps Since you are still doing jogging and cardio, you don't have to hit the legs so much and you won't get worn down so bad. I would do 2 body parts a day on the 3 days you plan on lifting. I'd do this for about a month. As you get comfortable, you can increase sets, reps, and weight. This is what I'd recommend for a beginner.
