    NFL Week Two

    Dreaded double post.

    NFL Week Two

NoCal, I just overshot my prediction score because even though our defense does a great job keeping guys on their side of the field, I was afraid the Dallas D would force Brunnell into several turnovers which would lead to good field position and Dallas scores. What does it matter now? Skins win. I'm jacked up. It's been awhile since we beat the 'Boys in Big D. I know it's early in the season and all and these teams could look very different when the meet back up in DC, but I'll take this with a smile. Santana Moss is God.

Color me not impressed with that lineup. UFC/MNF >>>>>>>>>>>>> Raw "Night of Champions".Still. By a longshot.

    NFL Week Two

Predictions for tonight's Monday Doubleheader... Saints 24 Giants 14- I think the Saints come in with a chip on their shoulder with the NFL having them play a "home" game in NY, which is a joke and the Saints expose the Giants as over achieving last week. Redskins 13 Cowboys 31- Cowboys keep their dominance over my beloved Redskins. I'm pulling for Ol' DC, but the realist in me sees Mark Brunnell as QB and an OL that has talent, but is still undisciplined. I think the only touchdown we'll score will be defensively.

  7. In the latest issue of the Observer, it was reported CM Punk was buried by HHH, Hayes, and HBK after his last Heat match. The line on him was he didn't know how to get over and that the way he wrestles is like he's doing a simulated wrestling match and not working a wrestling match. Meltz the goes on to state his opinion on the matter, which is that no matter what he did, being being an unknown who isn't physically impressive by their standard going out cold, he wasn't going to get a reaction and the all knowing types were going to say that. The truth is, there is an entirely different standard and style of working and getting over before 500 in a small room and 5,000 in a 15,000 seat arean and like everything else, it does have to be learned. But it's a complete joke when people pick on people as not being able to work who have learned to be good at small room just because they can't walk into the big room and instantly get over. Meltz then says that even from a WWE standard of working, Punk was going to have his weaknesses that would show up when he got there, he is good enough where he would overcome them with experience. Having what they consider a paper reputation as a great worker (if he hasn't proven to be a great worker in WWE rings, then he's inherently unable to work in some people's eyes) made criticisms of his work pretty much a lock before he even locked up. Not going over on a debut after never being on WWE TV is almosta guaranteed lock. An unknown, no matter how talented, doesn't get over to the WWE audience unless they do an over the top gimmick because that's an audience there to see stars. Thoughts? Feelings? Debates (hopefully of the intelligent and friendly variety) on different styles of "working" ?

    Ross Report for September 15th

I think it climaxes with JR wearing his pants around his ankles and his dick in his hand as he watches the replay.
  9. This is a huge mistake if TNA goes through with this. I agree with Coffey in that they can be integral parts of storylines, but they shouldn't be in the ring. Most of those women suck anyways. Jackie Gayda? She had the worse match on Raw up until Ashley Massaro and Torrie Wilson took her craptastic trophy from her. Not good news, not good at all.

update on the Dudley Boyz' situation

If WWE could, they would probrably try to get a court injunction against fans chanting things they don't want. Don't think they wouldn't try it if it were plausible.

CM Punk buried by HHH, Hayes, and HBK

Excellent point Ripper. We aren't sure if it's constructive criticism or if they brow beat him. That's sort of what you get when you read backstage reports.

    WWE news and notes

This will end badly. Mark my words. I'm glad Matt thinks so, cause just about everyone else thinks otherwise.

    So what happens now..?

Tentatively for Taboo Tuesday, one of the matches is supposed to be HHH vs Ric Flair per the new Observer.

    CHP Shoots On Someone Else

Did you start your Joshi viewing with Dream Slam II? I could see where you are coming from. Another thing about some of their shows is the pacing. On Dream Slam II, there are a ton of great matches before that main event tag match that by the time you get there, the wind is taken out of your sails. (sort of like HHH and Jericho trying to follow Hogan/Rock at WM18) I've found myself loving a lot of the matches as a stand alone versus part of a show because of this reason.

    Summerslam buyrate in

If they do anything with Hogan, it should be a dream match, like with Austin. Hogan won't "put over" Cena, Orton, or anyone for that matter. Sure, he'll job, but he won't be putting over any of these guys. Hogan is only interested in putting himself over. He did it with Warrior. He did it with Rock. He did it with Kidman. He jobbed to them and they all got exactly squat from it. Cena won't get a rub from Hogan. If anything, he'd get overshadowed by him. Keep your future away from Hogan. Do your dream match with Austin and get your money. How hard is that to contemplate?

    Raw rating

The sad part about Angle being Booker T's bitch was they didn't even capitalize on it and have now saddled Booker in a losing streak type storyline with his wife.
  18. Dangerous A

    Summerslam buyrate in

It doesn't surprise me that much. They promoted the "dream match" main event very, very well. The brass should be happy since the two title matches buildup were very much lacking.

    NFL Week Two

I'm a Redskins fan and I'm dreading monday night. Not because the Cowboys are so good, but it's because the Redskins are that bad. I'm pulling for the Skins, but if you told me to bet my paycheck on the game, my money would be on the Cowboys. I am a realist. Brunnell is starting. That right there damn near guarantees the only touchdowns we might score are on defense or special teams.

WWE news on the Ultimate Warrior DVD

I'll get a hold of some of the impressions later or something, but no way in hell WWE gets a red cent from me on this one. It's a burial DVD. Sure, Warrior deserves every criticism thrown his way, I just don't think WWE should get my money for their criticism is all.

    Another Tough Enough Winner Released

Taker is a different ball of wax because of his size. Almost any shoot fighter would have some difficulty with him if they are the size of Puder. I'm not saying I'm taking Taker in a shoot vs someone like Lidell, Shogun, or Silva. Just saying Taker poses a different problem for what these guys are trained for. Pride and K-1 wouldn't have a problem doing a Puder vs Taker fight though. They love promoting freak show matchups that really shouldn't be taking place.

WWE Having Disputes with MSG Management

Thank you. Who fucking cares if they do MSG again or not? I don't. Why exactly do they have to have a "home"? It's not like we are in the old days of the territories. This is really non-news.

Who should I be running with out of these RB's? Deuce McAllister v NYGiants Willis McGahee v Tampa Bay Kevin Jones v Chicago Larry Johnson v Oakland I have 2 RB's and a W/R utility spot, so one of these 4 men are assed out. Which 3 should I run with?
  25. Actually, Brooke Burke filed for divorce from her husband. Just throwing that out there, it's not like any of you have a prayer with her. (or myself for that matter)
