Eddie/Rey is beyond lame now. Trying to explain it to non fans or people who have not followed the product hurts. A lot. Cause it's dumb. On many levels. Eddie has to keep his heat and be booked strong in the end since the word is he is being programmed with Batista post Summerslam.

HTQ on Day Six of the G1 Climax Tournament
Dangerous A commented on a blog entry in Straight Shooting
I'm interested in this G-1 in particular because of Kawada's involvement, since he presents fresh matchups in New Japan. If he doesn't make it to at least the final four, New Japan bookers and Inoki need to be drug tested. Interesting how they booked A block to be a tight race while B block was a 2 person washout. Not sure where they are going with any of this. Politically, there is about zero chance of Kawada winning. I don't like Fujita in pro wrestling because he represents that Inoki-ism worked shoot style that I feel has hurt New Japan the last several years, but he has an excellent chance to win it all. Nakamura would be a decent choice, but with New Japan in shambles right now, I'm not sure if his winning the tournament will even get noticed. Tenzan, assuming Chono doesn't book himself into the final 4, at least has the story of trying to win an unprecedented 3 G-1's in a row. I suspect Chono and Fujinami may go to a draw on Saturday, which will put Chono out of the finals without him jobbing. Still, while I'll always be intrigued by the intricate booking of round robin tournaments like G-1 and Champion Carnival, puroresu is suffering in Japan, NJPW in particular. If there is a big promotion that is losing steam and legs faster than WWE, it's NJPW for sure. -
I'm thinking more individual offense. I am of the opinion that the drug deal is a little worse because while Raffy is cheating, it'll hurt him and baseball's image some more. The coke deal hurts anyone who is in contact, either direct contact through usage or associated with the deal. That said, there were some folks today that called up to the show (Rome's show, not my show) and brought up their arguments as to why they felt Palmiero's violation was actually worse than Lewis's and I felt it would make an interesting sports topic of discussion.

Skip the lobster. Pay an extra $10-$15 and get a filet mignon.

Sid is useless IMO. He still has a big, scary guy aura but as HTQ pointed out, as soon as he is asked to job, he'll bolt. I'd like for them to get Kanyon, but see Jarrett as a problem. Kanyon is obviously a better heel than face, but since Jarrett won't allow anyone to be booked stonger than him as a heel, it kind of sucks the wind out of that sail. Since Kanyon has been away for awhile now, him coming back will be somewhat fresh and he is good enough to where he will have good matches. The question is will those matches be on top. I'd hate for a guy as good as Kanyon to be second fiddle to Jarrett.

Movies that pleasantly surprised you

Good Burger. I stop and watch it everytime it comes on cable. -
Perhaps go with a split personality style character? [WWE Creative/On] When he becomes the heel personality, he becomes conniving, evil, and normal.(normal as in not retarded) As a face, he's an idiot. It poses a conflict. Get adulation from the fans and be an idiot, or become a demonic, evil person, but not be retarded. [WWE Creative/Off]

I heard a rumor that Eddie/Rey was going to be a ladder match, possibly with Dominick custody papers above the ring or something. While I hate this feud now with a passion and want it to end soon, they definitely need a stip to spice it up since all their matches have now been straight up.

Actually, I did have a loose outline in front of me with some bullet points. Then I would chime in on said bullet points. This will not be the way I do shows in the future, but I just wanted to get the first show out of my system to see if I could do it. Dames, I recorded that show on 7/30 in one take. I gave the show to admin-mike that day and he kind of played around with the size of the show and such. He still hadn't set up what is up now, so it took awhile. I didn't want to haggle him because he has his own life and figured he'd get the best thing done that he could. He set a lot of it up because I suck at tech stuff. I am probrably going to need his help one or two more times loading the show again and hopefully, the turn around time will be quicker since news in wrestling travels pretty fast.

Why do they keep blaming Bischoff for WCW failing?
Dangerous A replied to zyn081's topic in General Wrestling
I'd pay to be a fly on the wall in that locker room. -
Well, they aren't going to get anymore audience through their internet shows, so they shouldn't blow their load in terms of storylines. If anytime, I think now is the time to spin the wheels in the mud storyline wise and just put on the best matches possible. The folks watching right now are the internet, workrate types anyway, so they should hold off on major storylines until there is TV. They should be re-examining the roster and storylines so when they do get to Spike, they come out guns blazing creatively.

Since we have to watch it... (Diva Search 2005)
Dangerous A replied to zyn081's topic in The WWE Folder
I think they'll end up hiring all three in the end. I am thinking the winner will be either Leyla (she has a look about her) or Elisabeth because she has shown energy and can probrably participate in more physical things than Hemme can. -
Agreed that if we stay at 16, 2 RB's is good. Anything over 16 teams and the 1 RB idea should be implemented.

For the first time, I'm ordering this bad boy. AJ v Joe will rule. Daniels v (hopefully) Aries will rock you. And no bps, you are not the only one intrigued by Lynn v Waltman. I've seen their stuff from Minnesota and loved it, so I'm wondering if they'll work a smarter, slower paced match.

Actually, I've heard that the Smurfs were a communist vehicle to help brainwash American kids during the eighties. You've got Papa Smurf, who is the only smurf to wear red and sports a beard like Marx or Lenin. The Smurfs all share food and live in a commune-like environment. Gargamel is the evil capatilist who, at first, wants to turn the Smurfs into gold. Greedy guy. There are a bunch of websites dedicated to this theory, but I'm pretty sure if you sat there and thought about it, you could draw parallels with the Smurfs and anything related to evil.

SAR's bargaining position just got fucked three ways from saturday with the news of him failing a physical. He should just sign with a contender for a low contract or mid level exception, but unless you have a dumb fuck team doing dumb fuck moves, he aint getting the money he wants. :: sees the Hawks, Clippers, and Bucks are still operating NBA franchises :: Uh, I take that back. Someone might be dumb enough to give him the money he wants.

With "24" off until next year and Raw going back to it's cruddy self, I went and Tivo'd the first episode of "Hell's Kitchen". Man, was this show funny, that is if you like to watch a rowdy Scot berate people who think they can cook. I know Fox is catering to the Simon Cowell fanbase by having a foreign person verbally assault hopefuls in *insert industry here*, but man was the lead chef guy entertaining. It doesn't get any better than the lead chef telling one of the contestents his signature dish looks like a dehydrated camel turd to his face. Folks should give it a shot.

I'm in now. If you can find a better draft time, cool. If not, I either have to pre rank like a motherfucker and not be there live. Not sure if the draft room will get past my work's firewall.

It was weird in that Michael and Ralph were 100x better than everyone else. Ralph seemed to grasp the leadership part and the hot plate best while Michael was obviously a better cook. Ralph did have some whack ideas throughout the show for food, but he was a good guy and I felt if they would've pussed out and gave both men a restaurant in the end, I wouldn't have hated it. Dewberry needs to go. Nuff said. I hope they bring this back next summer. Good fun IMO.

Cena and Batista are on top now on both brands. Unless a major injury were to happen, they are going to probrably stay in top spots for at least another year or so. Both men are champs and being given the chance to run with the ball. Time will tell which reigns were good in terms of creative and drawing money. That said, which do you think works better for each man? Both men defending? (where they currently are now) Cena chasing the title ? Batista chasing the title ? Both men chasing? Take into account the men's characters and where they are now. For instance, I think Batista is better off defending because he's a monster, tough, hoss type who should be fending people off the top of the mountain. Cena, for me anyways, works better as the underdog type that is out to prove himself to everyone (whiteboy rapper, anyone?) that he is the man. I will say that right now would not be a good time to take the belt off Cena because he's hot right now and they should let him run with the ball some more before possibly taking the belt off him. However, on the road to WM, I think Cena could stand to lose it and try to get it back at Mania, whereas Batista needs the ball as long as possible. Discuss.

Meltzer has been wrong more times in the last year for someone who supposedly is in the "know".. He constantly is making statements that turn out to be wrong- the fact is, he doesn't know if Bret will make a TV appearance, I bet he's on before the year is out in some capacity.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well then let's all hope to God right now that Meltzer is right. Do the DVD. Get in the Hall. Have a nice life. It's all I ask from Bret.

I cannot argue that point at all, but I do think if Shawn Livingston can come out with a healthy campaign next season, it'll be a first for Elgin and Co. in regards to discovering and drafting talent.

I'm wearing my Bulls #91 Dennis Rodman jersey
Dangerous A replied to Matt Young's topic in No Holds Barred
I sport the following... LeBron James home jersey Lavar Arrington and Darrell Green jerseys. (used to have a Laverneus Coles jersey, but he went out like a bitch, so I gave it to Sal. Army, fuck him) Chris Webber football jersey (you read that right, Reebok made a line of football style NBA jerseys) although with him no longer there, this jersey is fixing to get jettisoned. Penny Hardaway home and away Orlando jerseys (I never wear them, but keep them around since Orlando is the only place he played well) Looking to aquire.. Mike Bibby black on black jersey. Saw this at the mall and didn't have the cash on me to get it. May look to get a D-Wade black on black jersey as well. Some Redskins throwback jerseys. I'm waiting for Theismann, Riggins, and Art Monk to sign over their rights because while I could get some bootlegged stuff, I wear official gear only. Oakland A's jerseys, except I'm not sure which one. I saw a killer football style jersey that I liked, but not sure if I like just one player on the team enough to where I'd want the jersey. Closest person right now would be Eric Chavez. -
However Bret feels about the part Vince played in Owen's death, I'm sure he has long since stopped hating Vince over it, just as he has stopped hating Vince over Montreal. This doesn't change how Bret feels about Vince's role in Owen's death, Bret has just moved on from the hate, which is a good thing, because keeping hold of hate for so long is not healthy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh no doubt at all on the bolded line there...it just seems like he was so venemous and spiteful over THAT whole deal, then factor in Montreal and I was under the impression that this would be one grudge he would hold forever and ever... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cause you'd hate for him to turn into Bruno.

I'd hardly consider myself a conservative, but I'm definitely not a lib. I do not support the War in Iraq and if I could, I'd drive a hyprid Toyota, except they are too friggin expensive for a lower-middle class guy like myself. I kick it with NoCalMike and he can vouch that while I'm not as liberal as he, I am far from a conservative. I just think the study is full of crap. Nuff said. The whole "OMG!! MEN HAVE SMALL PENISNISNNSSESS!!!!ANDWANTTO KILLLLLYVERYONEEENEEE!! DRIVIEBIGGGIEECARRSSZZ GASSSGUZZLLELRRSSZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!", that was a poor attempt at sarcasm and humor. So why don't you keep my name out of your mouth, eh?
