Velocity + Ongoing SmackDown Spoilers
Dangerous A replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
If you can actually envision Vince telling them in their headsets to put over a cruiserweight match on Velocity, then this can actually happen since Vince is in their headsets constantly telling them what to put over and such. Can you envision it? Didn't think so. -
It was more that HBK was going to work the match, but not really put Austin over and dick with him like kicking out right at the count of 3 or popping right up after the stunner. The finish was already set in stone, it was just that Taker recognized that HBK might try to muck up Austin's ascension, so he not so subtltey threatened him before the match.

I heard this on Cold Pizza from one of their baseball analysts. They said in 1998 or 1999, Palmiero made a plea to Clinton to get his brother out of Cuba as a favor. Clinton made it happen. Then, when Palmiero was in front of Congress in March, he goes and straight lies to them. How about that? You go and ask the government for a favor and it obliges and then you go and lie your ass off to them later when the heat comes down. I'm not saying I totally agree, just thought I'd throw that out there.

I'm 100% in agreement KNK. Bret should try to get some quality control over his DVD release and it wouldn't kill him to be inducted into their Hall of Shame..err..I mean Fame. However, even though the landscape of WWE right now is paved with pure shit from top to bottom, I have no desire to see Bret come back into any of the storylines this creative team has come up with or could come up with. Just do your goodbye and call it a day, Bret. For your sakes. Fuck everyone else's.

How about an all drunk/druggie lineup.. Scott Weiland Margot Kidder Scott Hall Gary Busey Anne Heche Koren Robinson Tara Reid

I figured as much. I didn't know if Koko would name the bird that replaced Frankie the same name.
-
Koko B. Ware was also one I forgot to mention. And he has to have Frankie or whatever bird he has with him now.

The kind of guy who was getting a little over a million a year to do pro wrestling. That kind of money is huge in this industry and Lesnar probrably didn't think he'd be doing much of anything else, so he went for the big money. Can't blame him, but in hindsight, it wasn't the best thing in terms of keeping his options open.
-
No wonder Bonds isn't coming back this year.
-
I blame creative for a lot of that. They lack the quality control and are not emphasizing Carlito's moves with any names or anything. I mean how hard is it to do? Carlito executes either a signature move or finisher, then JR, King, or Coach says "Carlito calls that such-and-such". Rinse and repeat for several weeks and boom, it gets over. This may be the laziest Creative has gotten. Even though 2002 had worse storylines like ass cream, necro, and the bait-and-switch gay wedding, at least they were trying. They aren't even trying at this stage. Wonder if it has to do with HHH and Steph traveling around the country in a mobile home trying to procreate?

There is a restriction on Brock called a 10 year no compete clause. He isn't allowed to compete for any pro wrestling or MMA company for the next 10 years unless WWE lets him out, which of course they won't.

Ralph was the perfect second place. He was good at the hot plate position, but wasn't nearly as good a cook as Michael and a lot of Ralph's ideas for food were kind of eh. It would've been a crime if anyone but Ralph and Michael were in the finals because the rest of the would-be's frickin sucked.

Hell's Kitchen finale >>>>>>> The last 6 months worth of Raw.

Editing the top 10 drama list.
Dangerous A commented on a blog entry in I post on TSM and all I got was this lousy blog.
Depending on how open you are to another non-supernatural TV series, I can almost guarantee The Wire will make your top 10 once you've gotten your hands on it. The characters are as good as Deadwood's, I'll say that. Plus, each season is like a novel. I can't pimp this enough. Stringer Bell 0wnz!!! -
If the Heat land both J-Will and Walker, I think Stan Van Jeremy err.. Gundy is out cause I think Riles is building the team HE wants to coach.

Does Raw have the worst talent in years?
Dangerous A replied to AmazingRen's topic in The WWE Folder
It just seems that Raw right now is as bad as Raw 2002 because you've got guys like Angle working midcard comedy storylines. Flair and HHH, the top heels, are off for who knows how long. They have shit workers like Cena and Carlito holding the top titles. The tag titles mean nothing because the tag champs, Rosey and Hurricane, mean nothing. You've got Jericho, a guy seen by marks as a JTTS as top heel which takes wind away from the main title sail. And as of yesterday, one of the hottest feuds, Hardy/Edge, just came to a screeching halt with a poorly delivered buildup and promo. I'd say it's almost 2002, except they aren't talking about ass cream and necrophilia, just yet. -
I called it in the Raw thread. Matt needed a kick ass promo and didn't deliver and now this storyline is DOA. It's made even worse because Amy "Doomah" isn't participating. Seeing as that she is the prime reason they even have a feud, I'd think she needs to be there or else.

Y2Jerk, there are now a total of 14 writers on creative per the Observer,
-
You can all stop typing up recaps of the show. This pretty much summed up the evening.
-
Copy monkey. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is for the copy center folk. I file what the copy center folk produce. Get it straight, buster.
-
With Angle doing the stupid ass Eugene Invitational next week, perhaps there is still hope for me to have Shelton win the medals from Eugene a week later and then have Angle go after Shelton. Sorry, but Eugene/Angle did not work tonight.
-
A change of pace that goes from total shit with corn in it to something that rocks bells and is flipping awesome.
-
Carlito just doesn't have a decent moveset, but if you watch he at least has a little natural ability with things like worked punches. Cena can't even do worked punches correctly and he's been here for 3 years now.
-
That's because you're actually thinkiing about the shit. Turn off your brain and it'll all make sense.
-
Would you rather him winning the WWE Title? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I were booking, I wouldn't have him out there, period.
