The Hardys vs. The Dudleys/Tag Team Tables Match/Royal Rumble 2000/January 23rd, 2000 Going back to the first PPV I chose from, this one was all action start to finish. Some crazy bumps in this one as all 4 were really firing away at each other. The NY crowd was eating it up, too, as well as the crowd at my buddy's house that night. Of course, any tables match wouldn't be complete without Jeff diving off something onto somebody and this one doesn't disappoint, as Jeff dives off the balcony onto D-Von through a table to end it.

Sting and Lex Luger vs. The Steiner Brothers/WCW Tag Team Titles/Superbrawl I/May 19th, 1991 Ok, I guess it's about time for me to take a tag match and this is one I've really enjoyed over the years. No real build up to this one, Sting and Luger asked for a title shot and the Steiners accepted. Pretty fast paced match here, although a little short, the crowd is into everything these guys dish out to one another. The finish sees Sting get knocked out by Nikita Koloff's chain when he interferes. Other than the cheap finish, this is a well put together match.

Well, I believe it's been about 7 years since the last pick, so everyone should be able to finish out their lists now.....

Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle/WWE Title/Wrestlemania XIX/March 30th, 2003 Nice match between these two in the main event of "The Granddaddy Of Them All". Brock defeats Angle for the championship after Brock gets concussed after a botched SSP attempt. He still finds a way to get Angle up for an F5 to finish. It would have been awesome to see Brock hit the SSP(I've seen video of him in OVW hitting it perfectly), but even with the miss, I thought this match was as good as advertised.

Thanks, guys. Can you really go wrong with any Bret/HBK match? Considering how much they didn't like each other later in their careers, they really did just seem to click whenever they met in the ring.

Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels/WWF Title/Survivor Series/November 25th, 1992 One of the early encounters between these two and it doesn't disappoint. This is for Bret's title but not for Shawn's I-C belt. It gets a tad slow in the middle, but picks up nicely toward the end with Bret and Shawn trading moves and Bret eventually locking in the Sharpshooter for the victory. Heenan and Vince do a good job on commentary as well.

Thank you, sir. I was relieved it was there, with my list shrinking with each pick, I'm never sure which way to go. There are some matches I figured would be around later that were already taken, although there are still plenty of great matches left.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Dude Love/WWF Title Match/IYH:Over The Edge/May 31st, 1998 The match that became the blueprint for most of Austin's matches after it, due to injuries. Wild brawl throughout the arena, Foley bumping like crazy, McMahon as the guest ref, Patterson and Brisco as guest ring announcer and timekeeper, respectively and top it off with Taker at ringside to try to keep things in check. I remember trying to figure out how Austin would pull off a victory with the odds stacked against him so much. Just a fun match that I can watch time and again and still be entertained.

Brian Pillman vs. Jushin Lyger/WCW Light heavyweight Championship/Superbrawl 2/February 29th, 1992 Always considered one of the best opening matches on any PPV. A precursor to the cruiserweight division, this isn't as high flying as some of those matches were but this was just a great battle between two top talents. Pillman's best match and a fine effort by Lyger, they have the crowd fired up throughout, pulling off some high flying moves, submissions, and different pinning combinations.

Muddy Waters- Hard Again 1977 The album that kick started the blues revival from the late 70's into and through the 80's, it's also the album that revived Muddy's career. Some great hardcore blues, opening with the fantastic "Mannish Boy", features Johnny Winter and Bob Margolin on guitar, Pinetop Perkins on piano, James Cotton on harmonica and Willie "Big Eyes" Smith on drums. Listening to this album it's easy to tell that all had a blast during recording, there is a very positive vibe around the whole thing, which makes it fun to listen to. A lot of studio chatter can be heard at the beginning and ends of each track, which is a nice little extra feature. Standouts include: the aformentioned "Mannish Boy", "Bus Driver", "I Want To Be Loved" and "I Can't Be Satisfied".

Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk/I Quit Match/Clash of the Champions IX: New York Knockout/November 15th, 1989 Alright, just got home from work, so I'll make this quick. Just a great brawl between these two, they chop the hell out of each other, take it inside and outside the ring, Flair works Funk's leg beautifully to set up the figure four in the middle of the ring to get Funk to say "I Quit". IMO, this is Flair's best brawl. Also, I had HBK vs. Razor in the ladder match at WMX for my next pick, and was surprised it lasted this long.

Thanks, yeah I was hoping to find something from that match(I actually just finished watching it before I selected it) Unforunately, there just aren't too many pics from Chi-Town Rumble, so I just went with something close. I figured you guys would get the picture...uh, no pun intended.

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat/NWA World Championship/Chi-Town Rumble/February 20th, 1989 Not a pic from the actual match, but it's the best I could find. Anyway, figured I'd round out the trilogy seeing as the other 2 were taken. I don't think you can go wrong with any Flair/Steamboat match, so why not have one on my list. Great matwork and reversals, awesome chops from both and it ends with Steamboat beating Flair for the World Championship, can't get much better than that. Edit: Thanks to CanadianChris for the pic.

John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers- Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton 1966 Next up, I've got another of my favorite blues albums, I'm not a huge Clapton fan but this album really sold the fact to me, that he is one of the best out there. Mayall certainly holds his own as well, playing guitar, harmonica, piano, hammond organ and also providing vocals. John McVie(of Fleetwood Mac fame) is on bass, Mayall also has a great horn section to round out the sound. The album is split between originals and cover songs, 7 each, one of the covers is Ray Charles' "What I'd Say" which is one of the best on the album. Other standouts include "Double Crossing Time", "Hideaway", "Little Girl" and "Ramblin' On My Mind" which is Clapton's first recorded vocal.

HBK vs. The Undertaker "Hell In The Cell" In Your House, Badd Blood, October 5th, 1997 The classic first "Hell In The Cell"(or is it "Hell In A Cell"?) Anyway, fantastic work by both Michaels and Taker, beating the holy hell out of one another. HBK getting tossed into the cage time and again, Taker getting piledriven on the steel steps, lots of creative moves focusing around the cage, also Shawn's bladejob mid-move as he's getting slingshot into the cage is great and who can forget that this is the first appearance of Kane? With Vince screaming "THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE!!!" Overall, a fun gimmick match that's been brought back time and time again, usually resulting in a good match.

Well, I think about a 1/4 of my list I've made has already been picked. Some excellent choices by everyone so far, I'll really be interested to see where things go a little further down the line, I think I've got a few aces up my sleeve.

Not the best pic I could find but... HHH vs. Cactus Jack- Royal Rumble 2000(Streetfight) Great match that really built HHH as a badass. Foley did a great job breaking out all the toys: barbed wire bat, thumbtacks, etc. Great brawl through MSG, HHH bleeding buckets, Cactus taking the bumps into the tacks was sick as well, just a great brawl that also told a story effectively.

Nice first choice, definitely a match I probably would have went with at number 1, also.

I like being able to just choose 20 matches and then voting. I hate to add too many rules, then people get confused and it leads to more questions. I think if someone wants to take 20 matches of "Wrestler X" then they should be able to. It's like in the music draft, if I wanted to take 20 Rolling Stones albums I could, if I wanted. Only being able to have 1 wrestler per list might make it too difficult to choose between a certain series of matches or ones throughout a career. Maybe only like 1 Royal Rumble match per list or something like that, but I don't think that tag or singles matches should have a set limit. Just my opinion.

Montrose- Montrose 1973 Seeing as I missed out on getting Van Halen's debut, I figured I'd go with the album that influnced their sound. A great but short album featuring Ronnie Montrose on guitar and a then unknown guy by the name of Sammy Hagar on vocals. As I said the album is short, it clocks in at a little over 30 minutes but there is so much packed into that timeframe, that I have to take it. Just a great listen top to bottom, no skippable tracks for me on this. Standouts are ""Bad Motor Scooter", "Rock Candy", and "Make It Last", which Van Halen used to cover in their early club days.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble- In Step 1989 This is the album that started my whole blues listening experience. I had always heard about SRV but never really bothered to seek out any songs, one day I was flipping through the channels and ended up on VH1 where the video for "Crossfire" came on. I remember just sitting there with my jaw on the floor listening to the solo Stevie rips into. Naturally, I went out and bought the album the next day. This is SRV's "clean and sober" album, he had been out of AA and certain songs("Tightrope", "Wall Of Denial", "Crossfire") deal with that subject matter. This album also contains what some people feel is SRV's best non-blues work, "Riviera Paradise", which delves into jazz(something Stevie had experimented with earlier on "Stang's Swang" on the "Couldn't Stand The Weather" album.) To me, "In Step" represents SRV at his most clear and focused and it's a shame that we lost him a little over a year after this album came out.
