oAo Monday Night Raw Thread -- 8/6/2007
LaParkaMarka replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
The best part was that McMahon was sitting like three feet away. I wish it was a wide angle shot so we could have seen Vince's reaction. -
Good ol jitterbug.

This picture just makes me happy.

Supposedly Burke and Lowe were pretty tight. That's where Burke's ranting is coming from. Besides, making fun of the Oilers is easy and fun. Poor Edmonton.

Kyle Lohse cracks me up. 1 inning before getting taken out by that liner. Nicely pickup there, Philly.

The Next Gen Hart Foundation debut on OVW TV [JULY 28, 2007]
LaParkaMarka replied to Oldschool's topic in The WWE Folder
Teddy Hart looks ridiculous. It might be better to debut them all seperately. Nattie can go beat up Torrie on Smackdown, Teddy Hart can do his thing in ECW, and Harry can be a babyface on Raw. After a month or two, have them interfere while HBK is having a title match (revenge for Montreal). Hopefully they aren't totally buried by HBK. -
Just DL/watch the Mirror Universe episodes of Enterprise. It was good stuff, I promise you. I second this. If they made the mirror universe into a series, I would watch that.

You'd think he could have changed his voice just a little.
-
Exactly. You think his handlers would have nixed this move right away. It's so sad, since he was a legit shutdown corner and an excellent football player. He'll probably end up juicing and ripping up his acl or something.

Yes, but the lack of was disappointing. True. I was expecting that to happen as well. Still, I liked how

I thought the movie was great as well. I wasn't expecting much going in, but it really was a fun movie. The scene where was such a nice throwback. Also, one of my favorite lines:

Yup. I'm so glad they went in a different direction than the books. Book 2 was retarded. Also, Laguerta just cracks me up. The actress playing her does a superb job, like the scene where she was hiding in the kitchen.

Profootballtalk.com. Florio is a giant douchebag, has a lot of pet issues, and is pretty pathetic in how he panders to his favorites. Even with that, it's still probably the best rumor/news source.

Ah, the Browns, this could only happen to them. Sewage floods Browns' locker room - Old pipes cause 160,000-gallon toilet tank to overflow.

That looks like a PR move by Brynn. From TMZ through PFT:

411 writer Eric Szulczewski spits on Reagan's tomb

Hey, the Canadian dollar is at 96 cents now. I know Scott Keith has continued writing, but maybe Trevor the Music Reviewer quit writing and turned things around. -
Bonnie Hammer submitting ideas to Vince
LaParkaMarka replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in The WWE Folder
I hear Vince McMahon wants to turn wrestling into SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT...what a moron. People want to watch hammerlocks, not soap operas. -
He'll start at least one game. Their QB situation is pretty dire, I don't see how they could keep him benched all season.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
LaParkaMarka replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't think they need permission to parody something. That's why having a big fat worker named Rosie O'Donnell was ok. Besides, we all know the gimmick would last maybe a month before getting shelved. Poor Super Marella. -
WWE General Discussion for July 2007

Umaga is Bowser, just paint him green...he doesn't even need to change his mannerisms. Plus it fits in with the existing Marella/Umaga history. Albano can be his uncle that's training him to finally beat Umaga for the IC title. They can make training montages where Marella breaks bricks with his head and eats a lot of mushrooms. Of course, Marella's new finisher: top rope flying stomp. -
You liked Moulin Rouge but you wanted it to end with Ewan spitting on his sick/dying girlfriend? That's cold.

Vancouver and Montreal would work. The problem with Vancouver is that they don't have a modern soccer stadium, but there is a huge multicultural population here that would support a soccer team. Even the minor-league Whitecaps get a fair bit of support.

If it's all based on who is the better athlete, Big Show would have an overall of like 50 since his knees are shot. Guys like Daivari would be rated higher overall. The problem is that WWE isn't based on reality at all (Big Show vs Daivari would be a 30 second squash), and the game is a reflection of WWE more than it is on actual athletic ability. The only thing the dev could do to offset this is to allow all of the stats to be modifiable, and I think they have. I'm not sure if you're serious that Shelton should have higher stats than HHH. WWE wouldn't allow the game to be released if that happened, and Yukes makes way too much money off the series to risk their relationship with WWE.
-
Can you reduce stats for non-caws in 2007? I've only modified stats on my caw, but I assumed that you could reduce anyone's stats if you wanted. If you don't like HHH having such high stats, you can always raise Shelton's stats to match, right? Cmon man. I see what you're saying, that there should be more of a difference between Shelton and HHH. But what reality are we talking about here? WWE owns the game, they're always going to want whatever guys they're pushing at the top in terms of stats. Cruisers being treated like crap in the game is just an extension of how they treat cruisers irl. Shelton is just some guy to the marks, while HHH is supposed to be the greatest wrestler ever. It makes sense from the WWE perspective to have the stats skewed this way. Anyways, what kind of stat distribution would work for you while keeping HHH overall > Shelton overall?
