From what I understand, Denver was willing to take Harrell at their spot as he was one of the guys they targeted. They may have taken him a little high, but the guy could work out just fine. The talking heads trashed last year's reach for Donte Whitner, and the guy ripped it up in Buffalo. I don't think Green Bay really needs Keyshawn. One of his best skills is run blocking down the field, but the run game in GB is in disarray. IMO they'd be better off finding an veteran RB that isn't a liability blocking. Use the vet while Jackson and Wynn learn the system and blocking schemes, and they could have a decent run game. Keyshawn is better off going to a team with an elite back and a need for a receiver...somewhere like San Diego or KC. The problem with SD is that he probably won't respect Norv Turner at all, and who knows if he'll get along with Herm Edwards.

Was Turtles In Time the one where you fought a boss from the Boss' POV, and have to throw enemies at it? I remember tossing guys straight towards the screen, it was a neat effect.

2007 Stanley Cup playoffs - second round

So sad. Though Luongo's poo delaying the first overtime probably sums up the series for Vancouver. Only so much shit that poor guy can stop.

This statement is flat out stupid, and you should know better LPM. It wasn't serious. I was saying his reason for trashing Alex was stupid ("Alex hasn't posted anything as funny as Angry Nerd, so he can't say Angry Nerd sucks"). Then I illustrated that by using the same line about what Sledge said about TMNT.

That's the worst argument to make. So he didn't like something, who cares? I didn't like Angry Nerd's stuff either. It's comedy, some people will like it and some won't. Deal. UseTheSledgehammerUh, the day you make a video game that's as good as TMNT 1 for the NES, you can make statements like that.

    Over-rated Bullshit Movies

Lost In Translation. That is such an utter piece of garbage, but gets a pass from people in love with Scarlett Johansson.

I dunno about that signing, his brother is a felon.

Oh come on, it's not like the guy killed anyone. I'm pretty sure there are several thousand people far worse the Keyshawn living there already.

I really liked Romeo Must Die too, and I loved Matrix 2.

2007 Stanley Cup playoffs - second round

They really need to get rid of the Lady Byng. It's just wrong. I don't think anyone here hates Pronger, he's just easy to spot on the ice.

Devil's Advocate. Pacino's monologue at the end was great, but the rest of the movie is pretty solid as well.

    Heroes

Exactly. The slow build to Peter-Sylar is actually pretty amazing, I'd probably pay to watch that.

    Heroes

That was so damn awesome. The Nathan scene was a classic tv moment, just great in execution. Though, I don't really get why Claire would have to be in hiding if her dad is president, and she knows who he is and he knows who she is.

    2k franchise Returns

One thing I noticed on the wikipedia page: That kind of kills the game. There's no franchise, you can't make new teams, you can't make new players...that doesn't make sense to me. Blitz had a pretty nice uniform creation system, and a decent player creation system, but no gameplay. Now it looks like 2k8 will be bringing the gameplay, but lacks the customizations. Boo x 10^6.

So Philly is over the Kolb pick already?

From what I understand, there's been some issues between DJ and the front office, I think it stemmed from missing a bonus by 1 yard (he had a season with 1199 yards receiving or something). I like DJ, and I agree that he should have been sent to the AFC instead of within the division.

Their WR corps is pretty sick. Moss, if he regains form, demands double coverage. Stallworth can burn single coverage, and Welker and Watson can rip up the middle of the field.

The three Super Bowls (and one 3rd down conversion away from probably a fourth) gives him a lifetime coaching contract with the Patriots. Even if they go 0-16 next year his job is safe.

Aww, Packers take a WR in the 3rd round. I guess that means Randy Moss will rot over in Oakland. Boo.

    NFL 2007 Draft Thread

The Dolphins took a running back for no apparent reason. I don't see why they would want Booker, Ronnie Brown, and Ricky Williams on the same team. If Ricky gets cut, I hope he ends up in Green Bay with Randy Moss. It'll be like the All-2002 Offense with Williams, Moss, Favre, and Donald Driver. They just need Shannon Sharpe to come out of retirement.
