Havlat is not worth 6$ million a year. The guy played 17 games last year and hasn't won shit. 6 mil is franchise player money...the kind that people like Brodeur get. Havlat is no Brodeur. This is a retarded waste of money by the Blackhawks, now they can have an overrated overpaid forward to go with their overrated overpaid goalie. Edit: Sorry for mixing up the Bruins and Blackhawks. That's a pretty big insult to the Bruins.

I love that man. His humiliation of Phaneuf is probably the best thing any Canuck has done in the last 10 years. Unfortunately, Jarkko takes too many stupid penalties, but I imagine you guys will love him in Pittsburg. He's such a wonderful jerk on the ice.

The problem is that the PS2 load times make simming over Office Hours painful. Eg you finish practice, waste five years loading your useless office hours, then go right back to the load screen to get to the next practice. Not fun. How buggy is the PC version? Worth a download?

The Canucks will certainly ditch Cloutier and will probably deal Morrison. They are going to look very weak on their later lines unless some young/cheap players step up.

Xenogears disc 1 isn't that great. You have your angsty tard hero, your angsty tard female love interest, some 6 year old who can somehow do kung-fu and control a giant mech. The story, if made into a movie or tv show, would be considered hilariously bad. The game didn't change that much in Disc 2, they just took out the dungeon crawling. It's not like the story magically changed in Disc 2...if anything, you had more of it.

Hard to be patient when the game consistently crashes.

You can flip a play, I think it's the circle button. I know I could do it in practice. But I agree with Leena and Vit on the whole. I have had two practices die on me, and I still haven't finished a single preseason game because it always dies in the 4th quarter. This is ridiculous. Would Best Buy actually give you the 40 bucks back? I thought they would only exchange a game if it's "defective".

Ugh, this game is a disappointment. I don't understand how they could make an interface so unintuitive and terrible. Just trying to find, say, the RFAs on a team is extremely difficult. Want to try and shop a few players around to different teams, you have to constantly select them every time. Or the great meetings where it takes 5 mins to load and then you immediately get a message saying that your task is complete. This was a very poorly built game, and I haven't even gotten past the draft. Hopefully coaching the games is more fun.

Yes it was. Great game, great finish. What I really liked is that the refs generally let the game go...players were still flopping around, but only the really blatant stuff was called. Kept the game flowing.

I thought it was hilarious. I don't think you've played the game, PVP servers are based around ganking (killing people weaker than you) and griefing (fucking up others to the point where they can't play anymore). So this kinda thing will happen.

I've got a better idea: There should be a race that involves Colin vs monkeys for every task. Might as well add Jonathan and Lake too. We can place bets on which one will snap and beat up his girl first.
-
Almost every task involving animals has something amusing happen. This race had surly camels and cunning monkeys that steal. One of the best animal tasks was Colin in the mud alternately screaming at a yak/his fiancee. In conclusion, there should be a monkey task in every race.

Same. Play it for a few months, have some fun. Realize that the end game really sucks, slowly stop playing. Good times while they lasted.

Plus the combination of their names makes Yay. Yay > MoJo.

Rudo's posts pretty much summed up the ending there. Great ep in all ways. Phil's reaction to the whip, cancelling cab dramah~, the Monica/Fratboy thing, everything about the Yield. Not to mention all the awesome from Rolanda. That ending was probably the craziest finish to a leg, unless I'm forgetting something major. A three-way footrace, dramatic stuff. The editing was done so well, I'm impressed. So who's the frontrunner? And who does everyone want to win? I am now actively cheering for Ray and Yolanda, though all the teams are pretty entertaining.

Seriously? I didn't hate Raiden, but the game wasn't exactly a must-play beyond the first level. It's probably a good rental, to see if it's the kind of game someone wants to play through. I recommend Dynasty Warriors; the gameplay can be summed up by "x-x-x-triangle", but it's still mindless fun. Burnout 3 is great fun for almost anyone. Shadow Hearts 2 is a must if you like RPGs, probably Disgaea as well. I don't have Guitar Hero, but Amplitude is excellent and Guitar Hero is supposed to be better.

Yeah, the "value board" stuff is garbage. Heck, they could have gotten Abraham and the fourth pick, and maybe another late pick if they acted early enough. Abraham, a proven pass rusher, would have more of an immediate impact than Williams, and they could have still gotten Ferguson at 4 and Justice at 33.

Stephen Colbert targets President, media, and more @ White House Corre
LaParkaMarka replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
The "Bush Double" bit got laughs because it was funnier than Colbert's piece. A line like "The President doesn't stand for things, he stands on things. Like aircraft carriers and rubble and recently flooded city squares..." is probably true, but isn't funny. -
This was terrible. I've never played the game. It did look like a game, I'm guessing a lot of the shots were straight out of it, but the movie was slow and boring. I'm actually surprised that anyone liked it...what was there to like? Seriously. Maybe the gore at the end if you're big into gore, but you have to sleep through 2 hours of crap to get there.

Look at Antonio Gates. The guy was playing Madden in his first year in the league just so he could understand more about the sport. Basically no football experience at all (and thus no production) and he turned out pretty well. Plenty of guys produce great in College and absolutely suck in the pros (see Danny Wuerffel or that guy from Oklahoma who won the Heismann). The physical numbers provide an idea of what a guy could produce if he plays up to his potential. You can't just ignore combine numbers and look entirely at production, or you'll end up with a wonderful college team that will get destroyed by the Texans.

Yolanda's muttered "Yo momma" line killed me. Just killed me. The Hippies pretending to travel with the dead teams was also great. Heat-stroke Hippie did a pretty good impression of Lake.

I enjoyed how you wanted to take Clarrett over Dunta Robinson.

The Dark Brotherhood is awesome and is worth the money right there. The quests are brilliant, like the Agatha Christie style "Trapped in Mansion" quest, the Purification (I was sad), the Draconis family ("Your mother bled like a pig"). And entering the Lighthouse Cellar, wow. So much greatness right there. The rest of the quests seem pretty bland in comparison.

I considered him for the Chiefs, but I really don't know much about him. He seems too small to be an effective tackle though.
