That was awesome, I randomly caught the marathon, great stuff. I've only caught single eps of AD before...watching several in a row makes you appreciate the call-backs all the more. Like the uncle always implying he is the father of Buster. Good stuff. I'll definately catch it next week.

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story

That was great. I want to buy the dvd too, help out the show. Really excellent. "MY NAME IS RON!" -
Here's a question for the Boston fans here. We know Joe Thornton isn't happy in Beantown. Supposedly they offered him a five year deal for 25 million; 5 million a year, which is less his current post-rollback salary (tsn.ca has a story about this). Unless the Bruins up that, I doubt he'll sign long term...he'll either demand a trade, or sign a one year deal for 6-7 mil and then bolt when he's unrestricted. So it seems like the Bruins might as well trade Thornton now instead of losing him as an unrestricted and getting nothing in return. Unfortunately everyone knows Thornton wants out so he probably won't get fair market value in return. Shitty deal for the B's. But...there is another franchise player who has a much lower market value than he should. Todd Bertuzzi might be looking for a fresh start (and only playing in Colorado once every three years) after the whole Steve Moore thing. I imagine the B's would want more than just Bert, maybe an extra pick or an exchange of first rounders. Boston would get their 5 million dollar man, and Joe gets out of Boston. If the choice really does end up between getting Bert or getting nothing when Thornton leaves as unrestricted, it actually doesn't seem that bad.

That's not actually from WoW, it's from some other MMO, Dark Age of Camelot. It is still hilarious.

If Transformers wasn't enough..

That's terrifying. I was just going to post to say that I had Voltron's right leg, the blue cat. That was awesome. As for a movie, I just don't see it working. -
Is there a team so hated by its own league

How did Minnesota end up with such a terrible name and such hideous jerseys. I can see that garbage happening to a team like Atlanta, but I thought Minnesota fans would balk at a name as lame as Wild. -
So where are everyone's characters? I have a 53 Troll Shaman on Daggerspine.

Now that's a team that could be moved to Winnipeg, the Panthers. It really seems like Florida is oversaturated with sports teams as it is. -

More rivals: Vancouver-Colorado Vancouver-Minnesota (both teams fanbases basically despise the other) Calgary-Edmonton Edmonton-Dallas -

What's so bad about Columbus? From what I understand, they actually have a pretty strong fanbase. Their jersey could be better, but so could half the teams in the league. I like Columbus where they are. Carolina, on the other hand, ugh. Should really be moved to Winnipeg. Here is a good article about Columbus, actually. They have excellent attendance for a non-playoff team, a large base of season ticket holders. Good stuff. -
I thought all of the Meg jokes have been very funny this season. Peter kicking her out was pretty funny, as was the callback joke later with "Who let you back in?". Also, throwing her out of the bathtub boat to win the race.

As did I. What the hell is this, TLC? Fuck that educational family vacation garbage. I wanted to see the kids begging in Calcutta. I want to see parents freaking out at their children for lagging behind, Jonathan style. I want to see someone fall down a mineshaft, or some brat throwing a tantrum while trying to complete some retarded task (which could very well still happen). How disappointing.

Simplifying the standings is a good idea. I couldn't stand the four columns, and I know they confused the shit out of casual fans. I'm glad shootouts are here just for that.

I liked what the Pittsburg GM said after they got the pick. Interviewer: Will you be taking Sidney Crosby number 1? GM: Yes. Interviewer: Is there any possibility trading the pick? GM: None whatsoever. Interviewer: (to the other GMs) Well, you guys just heard it, don't even bother calling. I like where the Canucks ended up. They may not get hometown boy Gilbert Brule, but they do have a chance at another hometown guy, McArdell, as well as several other solid prospects. And I laughed my ass off when the Rangers ended up at 15 or whatever. Good times. Also: lol @ Florida.

1. STALIN WASN'T ON THEIR SIDE 2. That really is a horrible idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure he meant Hirohito or Tojo. Who else was Funaki supposed to be.
-
The Rangers. They have a good statistical chance, and it would be in the best interests of the league. My heart of hearts wants him to go to Vancouver. It could happen. Watch Gary Bettman have a heart attack when he ends up in New Jersey.

I'll reclaim my old team.

I was bored today, so I made a little page that randomly generates a possible order for the draft lottery, according to the new lottery rules. Check it out here.

Mikka Kiprusoff can go to hell and die. Besides, Luongo and Brodeur are a million times better than him.
-
The ONLY thing they covered was baseball. I'd much rather see the local stations center more on the CFL and pretty much everything other than baseball. Besides, this offseason will be insane. The draft lottery madness (imagine Crosby going to the Devils), the fact that most teams have like no one signed (Vancouver has 5 players signed, the Bruins have 4), the possibility of hilarious cap mismanagement by GMs unfamiliar with the system...oh, this has potential. So much potential.

Patrick Bateman vs Batman. It's funny how similar the characters are. Batman just uses his insanity to be a vigilante, instead of slicing up models. Either way, Christian Bale rules.
-
Why the fuck would they do that? Are they fucking stupid??? The game was critically acclaimed. Also, I must find out what happened. Midway can go to hell and die. I would play ps2. But World of Warcraft takes up all of my allotted gaming time.

Yeah, I can't stand that either. Parts of BC are Conservative, but the Greater Vancouver area and especially Vancouver Island are very left wing. The Conservative in the riding beside mine only won because the vote was completely split on the left (something like 33% lib, 33% ndp, 33% tory). There is certainly no noticable backlash against gay marriage, that's for sure.

Canada is in a sorry state? Compared to who? I'll take iffy medicare and a ton of political infighting over what's going on in some other first world nations.
