I'm a Canadian as well, somehow ended up as a Vikings fan. You'd think I'd be cheering on Detroit, the namesake of my local BC Lions, but instead I root for a division rival. Go figure.
-
That's a terrible trade. Woodson is old, busted, and ridiculously expensive. And they don't even have Randy Moss in the division to worry about anymore, so Dre Bly should be fine. I didn't see a ton of Boss Bailey, but he seemed like a solid young player.
-
Ray is a retard. BoloDouche is an apt name for the guy. Romber was awesome, coming back from fifth, barely getting on the plane, getting their bags first, etc. That was great, though this leg didn't have nearly as much fun bribery. How can you not cheer for them? Patrick should go somewhere and die. His mom crying and him kinda shrugging it off to Phil, that was cold shit.
-
Yeah, I'm not a gigantic fan of their linebacking corps, but it's already has three youngish guys. Dontarrius Thomas, EJ Henderson, and Napolean Harris. Plus they added Sam Cowart, a vet, via trade. It is a weak link, but I think the team doesn't need another young guy here, they could maybe use another solid veteran who won't screw up. Chavous is pretty solid, and his replacement can be drafted next year or later. Russell is crap, but the Vikings signed Darren Sharper from the Pack; him and Chavous, plus Smoot and Winfield at corner give the Vikings a very good secondary. You might be proven completely right about Clayton, and a smaller guy could compliment the biggish receivers the Vikings already have. If he's anywhere as good as Steve Smith pre-injury, he'd be an excellent pick.

It's a value pick. Getting a guy who should have been top ten at 17 is great, especially when he's a potential franchise back. James and Udeze should be fine at End, their linebacking corps is decent, their secondary is frightening. TE is set with Wiggins and Kleinsasser, they're fine at QB. Maybe an OT or Guard could have been taken with the pick. Or a WR. Clayton is small. What, 5'10? He runs a good 40, but I see him being a Santana Moss type receiver. Which is fine, but not what I want for the Vikes.
-
I know, it's a bad pick. But like I said, there's no one who can really fill a need for the Vikings that is worth taking at this spot (a kicker? yeah right. Williamson is gone, etc). Might as well take a top-three back.
-
Not just a ridiculously deep rushing attack; a cool name as well. I expect numerous Cadillac jokes throughout the season depending on how the Vikes use their running game (which for a while I thought could be sparsely considering how Tice has used it in the past, but now that the Randy Ratio is gone...) Oh, it's guaranteed. Those headline writers will have a field day. When Williams is stopped on third and short: THE CADILLAC HAS STALLED When Williams breaks a few tackles for a big run: CADILLAC IS REVVING UP When Williams goes on some insane postgame rant and starts screaming at reporters: CADILLAC OR PINTO? And so on.

I'm pulling a Jacksonville, Cinci's time is up. With the 18th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select... Cadillac Williams, RB, Auburn Strengths: Excellent pure athletic ability and talent...Amazing vision...Can change direction and cut on a dime...Plays much faster than his timed speed and is extremely quick...Very hard to tackle and a tough runner...Outstanding balance...Has the "It" factor and intuition that all the great ones possess...Has the potential to be a franchise running back in the NFL. Weaknesses: Doesn't have the size you look for...Good, but not great, speed...Durability is a concern because he missed a lot of action early in his career...Not a great blocker...Isn't a great receiver out of the backfield...Shared carries with Ronnie Brown and you wonder if he can carry the load fulltime. ----------------------------------------------------- Any of my targeted players are reaches at this point, so the real life Vikings would probably trade down. Since I can't, I'll grab the best player available; Cadillac gives the Vikings a ridiculously deep rushing attack. Time to trade Michael Bennett to Arizona.

Thomas Haden Church cast as villain for Spider-Man

Dunst is a terrible MJ. I don't buy her as a model, an actress, or someone Peter would lust after for whatever reason. -
Oh man, Tennessee wouldn't take Edwards. The have Bennett and Calico. Boo.

The reindeer scene was the best. I was dying laughing. The crowd, including myself, also popped for Rachel's line near the end. But yeah, those were the only two highlights of the film. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I did like the appearance of Bill Lumbergh though. I wish he would have mentioned TPS reports.
-
Seeing their offseason, I could more see the resurrected corpse of Vince Lombardi coming back and coaching them. Why not?
-
The Vikings have traded a 7th round pick to the Jets for MLB Sam Cowart. Story is here. You know, if the Vikings had a defense and Randy Moss, they would be scary. How much cap room did they recoup by trading him?
-
Eh, he pretty much won All-Stars.
-
Yeah, pretty much. Until Angelina Jolie and Zhang Ziyi enter the race as lesbians, anyways.
-
I had that occaisonally happen to me. It might have been because I still had them starting on my depth chart, and still (presumably) participating in weekly prep. That might be it.
-
Kinda... Amber doesn't really bring the Juggs. She's rather flat. But still, she is the only hottie left. *weeps for dear, departed Bianca*
-
Only if the trades are just picks for picks. Eg Miami trading their first rounder for a first and fourth round pick, that kind of thing.
-
I loved stealing the taxi for no reason. Rob is so great. The pit stop convo with Phil was also gold. Really smart move, I bet Patrick is going to be dead for the next couple of days, while Rob is fine. I was upset to see hottie Bianca and her lesbo friend get eliminated. There is a distinct lack of the Juggs now. Deena is channeling ShutUpFlo, the pageant queen is Kendra-level annoying, Gretchen is a disgusting old woman ("I make up [for being a dumb bitch] in other ways"), Joyce looks like a rat. Anyone I'm missing?
-
Were they supposed to do a double kip-up after the elbows?
-
This was pretty funny. I liked the "independent thinkers" line. It's always good when politicians can be less than serious.
-
I <3 those lesbos. Good for them. They provide hugs when others (cough Twins cough) failed.
-
Thanks, Californian. The Hawks are apparently having A-train in for a visit, according to the Post-Intelligencer. Kinda lends credence to the idea they're ditching Alexander.

High production values = Greater cost
LaParkaMarka replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in Video Games
People are willing to pay that much for games. Xenon and PS3 aren't targeting teenagers with little disposable income, they're after those older 20-30 something gamers who can easily shell out 400-500 for a system or 70 bucks for a game. If it's the standard price across all platforms, people will up and pay for it. Look at the iPod, that thing is ridiculously overpriced and every other moron has one. -
So. Rocky becomes surrogate father/trainer for Marie's kid, he ends up rising through the ranks to fight Mason. He loses, but Mason gains respect and so does the kid. Sound about right?
