Svend withdrew, and Martin appointed the former BC premier to run there. Ujjal is running in Vancouver South, I think. Definately not Burnaby...one of Svend's former aides is running in his former riding, which is Burnaby North now (I think?). The ridings were re-aligned for this election, so it's kind of confusing.

I agree. And I'll admit that I went a bit overboard on some thing during that series. And let me state this again. CALGARY HAD 57 MINUTES TO TIE THE GAME. Kerry Fraser made the right call on the holding, and the wrong call on the roughing part, especially that call. (He's known to take control way to early in the game) On two of their biggest chances, they missed the net. Hard to blame that on Kerry Fraser.

Anyway I can switch to the Vikings? I only took the Raiders last year because they were one of the few teams left at that point.

I finally saw Reprise. Damn, that was a great episode. Holland Manners was just so excellent, it's too bad there wasn't more of him. I thought season 2 was pretty lacking until Angel fired the crew...it's definately picked up with the last few episodes. Wes gets shot and gets his heart broken, which is kinda the way things keep on going for the poor bastard. I guess he had a whole two episodes to be happy with Fred, so that's something.

Doyle as a Big Bad? How weird would that have been? That's actually really cool that, for once, an apocalypse would have some consequences. Jasmine sorta did, but it wasn't quite global in effect. Turning Angel into Mad Max though, that's huge. Would have been very different than the usual Angel, that's for sure.

And in FFVII, you interact with the environment and NPCs, customize your weapons via materia, limit breaks, secret characters, etc. There is more to the game than just blindly hitting attack. If your argument is "oh, you can beat the game by just hitting attack", great...you can also beat Mario by just jumping on shit (and occaisonally warping down a pipe). You wanna say there's more to the game than that? Fine, there's also more to VII than smashing attack, like everything outside of the battle system. Or are we ignoring that aspect of the game? You're saying TETRIS isn't repetetive? You're delusional. Especially in comparison to FFVII, no way the gameplay in VII is more repetetive than Tetris. Yeah, because you can't go back to the river right before the hitting the floating island, when you have tons of espers.

Meh. How is Anyanka saying Wes is cute any different than RRR talking about how foxy Lilah is? Wes added so much more to the show as he became darker. Back when he was happy Wes, he was a pretty nothing character. By the last season, his story with Illyria was the best thing going.

One of the main problems they seem to have with VII is that it's repetetive. All RPGs are somewhat repetetive. You can make the exact same argument against far better games. "All you do in Mario Brothers is jump on shit!" "All you do in Tetris is rotate and drop blocks!" "All you do in FFVI is hit attack!" (especially in the river loop) etc Attack VII for the real problems it has, like the bland characters are lame plot. I think a lot of the VII hatred is more hatred for the fanboys of VII than hatred for VII itself.

I think he liked it I loved that. Is that an actually line of his, or did someone make it up? Cause I remember it on the Rob Reiner roast (forgot the movie title) but could never justify it being real. I love that quote too, it's just great. And the negative reviews for this movie are flying out. Here's a few: Toronto Star Slate CNN Washington Times It's hilarious to see so many negative reviews. And really, the movie sounds atrocious. Characters outrunning a travelling death freeze? It seems as if it gets into the "so shitty it's funny" stage, so I might actually see it.

It's very weird, and this is coming from a Canadian. As much as it pains me to admit it, other Canadians seem to have an inferiority complex when it comes to America. It's pathetic, especially in hockey where Canada won both Olympic gold medal games. Hello, there you go, we (Canada) already won, get over it. It's becoming more pronounced in Canadian culture, you can see it in things like beer commercials (like the "Why Don't I Drink American Beer" one, or the one where the Canadian astronaut hits the American astronaut in the face with a puck). Not to get sidetracked off of sports here, but trashing Americans isn't being Canadian at all. I'm pretty sure if I wore a Tampa jersey to a pub tomorrow and cheered on the Flames, I would get called an American scumbag or something. And this is in a city where last month a Flames fan got the shit beaten out of him for wearing a Flames jersey. It's just sad.
