Those old school Batman shows had some great animation and stories. No reason why they couldn't do Buffy in the same manner.

I loved the part in Mummy when that snivelling character (Manny?) starting whipping out religious symbols one by one and praying to em. Finally the Star of David saved his ass. Sorta. They should do that sometime in a Buffyverse show. Throw little minature Ganeshas at vampires, or their Indian equivalents.

If that's not a serious case of overpayment I don't know what is. The deal is loaded heavily on the last couple of years, they can cut him about a year from now, when a 2 million bonus kicks in.

You know, this whole "Canada's team" thing is such crap. On the cover of the Vancouver Province today, they had a giant picture of one of the Flames and the headline "Canada is going for the Cup!" or some such garbage. Hello, this isn't the Canadian national team. Half of the players on every team in the league are Canadian, and two of the three most important Flames are Finnish and American. I don't mind the Flames at all, I was definately cheering for them against the Red Wings. But I do not get this crazy nationalistic fervor that has built up around them. The World Championships were a few weeks ago, and Canada getting to the gold medal game made the cover of nothing, yet the Flames make the cover of a Vancouver newspaper? Craziness. I was really hoping the Sharks would score with 5 seconds left last game. They were a good team.

I hate her for 1 and 3, and especially for her character in Buffy season 2. She was such a piece of crap.

What about the fact that Wolfram and Hart's power is flowing through Angel's veins? We have no idea how that affects things. He might even has some control over that demon army (assuming they're control by WR&H)

It is. It comes off really asshole-ish. Almost like a big "fuck you" from the wb to all the save angel campaigns and stuff. This is why WB must die. I'm not sure what to watch next year. Alias is ok, but I was never very into it. Smallville is fine, but it constantly gets moved around here in Canada so it's tough to watch it. Maybe I'll start watching 24.

But hey, whatever. 1) Illyria + Exploding Head Punch = win. 2) Gunn + Axe + Double Stakes of Doom = win 3) Spike using the day off to read poetry. 4) Connor making the save. I actually like the new Connor now...he has the old Connor edge, without the annoying Linkin Park angst. I would watch his spinoff. 5) Harmony turning on Angel, and Angel knowing all about it. Good times. 6) Lorne and Lindsey. I didn't see that coming from a million miles away. Wow. Awesome. 7) The look on Eve's face when Angel tells her Lindsey isn't coming. Excellent stuff. 8) Wes. I <3 Wes, and <3++ Illyria. 9) Fuck the WB, fuck them up their stupid asses. I know this thread isn't ending yet, but it's been really fun discussing the show with you guys. We've had a lot of good times in both the Buffy and Angel threads, from arguing over season 4 to publicly lusting after Amy Acker to making lame pictures of RRR and the Beast. Good times indeed.

NO. The ESPN announcers are beyond terrible, easily the worst NFL announcers I have had the displeasure of listening to. They could get the fake commentary from the ESPN videogames and it would be better than those losers.

I don't think most teams would want to give up a 1st rounder for him. He's not worth more than a 2nd. Heck, Corey Dillon and Terrell Owens(the original deal to Baltimore) went for 2nds, and they are better players than McKenzie. Maybe a team that picked up an extra 2nd rounder could ship it for him....did San Diego get an extra pick? Maybe Detroit?

No, thankfully. Owner Mode is so overrated I won't even start on it. You can replace any franchise with a created one in franchise mode. I'd usually kill a team like the Texans and replace them with a Vancouver team, then fantasy draft. Another problem with ESPN was that some teams drafted atrociously. I remember Brett Favre, Tom Brady, and Trent Green all drafted to the same team which left massive holes in every other key position. It was a bit easy to get a very good team by taking excellent third stringers from teams that overdrafted a position. It was a bit more fun taking over a team like San Diego and try to go undefeated.

Sometimes the ESPN animations can be really annoyng, like making a rolling catch inbounds yet the refs call it out, or the "wrap and roll" tackle that gives the runner an extra 3-4 yards. Hopefully that will get fixed for this year. Other than those two though, the animations are excellent...if your player busts through a tackle or two and gets dragged down just past the marker, you'll get the first down. It's a fun system, outside of the two flawed animations.

The only problem with Sweden is goaltending. If they just had a goaltender along the lines of Brodeur or Luongo, I would pick em to win. As it is, Canada has a huge edge in goaltending. I'm not sure about having both Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby. I'm sure they'll work very well together on a checking line, but still...gotta think Vinny Lecavalier should be on the team somewhere.

I don't happen to think it's corny. It's not really fair to compare the number of good episodes to that of another season because the first one only had twelve episodes. Based on the number of episodes it has, I think it's pretty damn good. And Moloch should NOT receive an "F." Moloch was very corny. Getting into the "Demon Tree with DSL" realm of ubercorny. I definately disagree with the Preying Mantis teacher getting a D. Screw that, she was great. The Pack was also really fun. Whoever graded that dislikes Xander.

Technically he never really lost his soul by having sex with Cordy. It was an illusion, but in the illusion it was a combination of his son accepting him, the beast being dead, and having sex with Cordy. With Buffy it wasn't just sex it was basically the cosumation of their love. A moment of passion that had been building for awhile. I don't think he loves Nina the way he loved Buffy and Cordy. She's like a sex buddy or something. Oh and I loved the "We stopped having intercourse" line from Illyria and Spike's reaction to it. Yeah, you're right. It does make sense, the Cordy explanation is spot on. And he did "love" Buffy since the moment he saw her, that perv. So him finally nailing the jailbait could work as perfect happiness. And yeah, that line was priceless. Good ol Spike.

Jayne beating the shit out of Illyria was pretty crazy. Poor Illyria. When Crash Bandicoot is a metaphor for your existance, you might as well turn the console off. So, Angel nails Blondie McFunbags and nothing happens? Come on. I never liked the idea that perfect happiness was an orgasm, but now it's an orgasm with only Buffy and Cordy? Cordy I can believe, she seems like she knows what she's doing. But happy virgin Buffy? I doubt it. So, who's going to die in the finale? I imagine Lorne is going to bite the bullet. He seems pretty sad lately. Maybe Harmony, probably Illyria. I think the core group of Angel/Spike/Wes/Gunn will survive.
