I loved this commercial, thought it was amazing. It was fairly long too, and you just had to like seeing Vick and Urlacher on the Avalance. As if they need to be even more loaded at Forward.

Me too. What the hell is Amber doing here? She's doing the exact same thing as last time. Attaching herself to someone and just doing whatever they tell her to. She's one of the worst Survivors ever. She looks good in a bikini.

Wow, Hatch gone. In retrospect, it makes a lot of sense. But still, he almost seemed to have this aura of invincibility around him. Plus he caught like a gazillion fish. *shrugs* Sue flipping out seems pretty odd. Next week should be interesting.

Good point about how all the characters have shades of grey, Ripper. You also have the best sig on this board. Anyways, I just managed to get into an argument with one of my friends about the astronaut/caveman thing. He was saying that the astronauts could make weapons out of their ship or something. They probably do have some kind of welding skills, but I doubt they could make good weapons. Especially without a power source for their welding stuff.

You know, it's interesting how many female characters have turned evil or been evil. On Angel alone, you have Lilah, Cordy, Dru, Darla, Fred. Jasmine, Eve. So this excludes Kate and Nina, out of all the vaguely major female characters? Maybe Joss doesn't like women. Or the things that gestate inside of them.

I have to agree with Vyce about the "best episode of tv ever" exxageration. It was a great ep though, possibly the best Angel/Buffy eps ever. We'll have to see how the season plays out before we can judge that though. Anyways, there's probably nothing positive I can say that hasn't already been said. I loved Gunn's showtune/rap, his Wes fakeout of death, the fight with the conduit, and his reaction to Knox...all gold. If anyone stole the show, it was J. August. The one thing that I didnt think was awesome was the idea of having one of the main female characters have an evil god gestate inside of them. I mean, we just had it last year. It was nice to see Angel finally acknowledge Cordy, though. Perhaps the similarities will be touched upon in the next few eps. Someone above mentioned that there aren't any characters universally loved in the Buffyverse. What about Willow?

Is AJ Feeley really that much of an upgrade over Fiedler? Is there's going to use AJ for a year, they might as well move up in the draft to land their QB of the future.

Interesting article on Philip Rivers What do you guys think of him? I haven't seen much, but he does seem impressive. Is he this year's guy who flies up the boards for no apparent reason? Something more? Who should be looking to draft him? Before, I read the Dolphins were interested. In that article, they said that he might go to Steeltown. Is there anyone else that needs a QB? Maybe Washington will grab him (hah).

Ruutu is great. Just looking at the guy makes you want to punch him out, even if he does play for your team. Apparently Chicago wanted him in any Zhamnov deal...if so, I'm kinda glad that deal fell through. Ruutu also dives like a madman. It's great.

So, does Ramsey get traded? Might as well send him to a QB-starved team in the AFC. Maybe Oakland or San Diego?

FInally saw the ep today. Dear god. I cannot begin to explain how hilarious that was. Seems like you all agree though. Also: Very nice to see Funbags McBlondie back in action. She is hot. Her + Fred's Legs = ratings. I would go on and repeat the lines you guys all said, but there's not much of a point. So great. Love this show.

Rob C is gone. Can't say I'm very suprised. It was pretty amusing seeing Tom stumble around that immunity challenge. And next week he's drunk! Oh, that wacky Tom.

Gah, Zhamnov goes to the Flyers? I thought the Canucks were going to get him for sure. He would have been great with the Sedins.

I wasn't sure what I thought of this movie after I watched it. I'm glad someone else (Chave) felt the same way as I do about the Charlotte character. She was a bitch. Even the scene on the hotel bed with Bill Murray that everyone loves, she was still bitchy there. I don't remember the lines exactly, but she goes "Look at you" when they're talking about whether life/marriage gets easier over time. It was such a snide thing to say, even if she was joking around. The character does that a lot..guess she attacks in order to guard against her own emotional insecurities. That isn't exactly very endearing, not to me anyways. Someone mentioned above that they thought Kelly was cute when she was singing her little karaoke number. I thought so too. But Charlotte has to stifle her laughter at seeing her sing. Little things like that made me dislike the character quite a bit. I definately liked how the romance was done, though...not at all like your typical terrible romantic comedy of doom. I also loved the scene where they had lunch. It really fit with the characters...no overblown weepy argument, but just a few traded insults that hit hard.

EA is becoming the new Acclaim (outside of their sports games).

Annoying how the show will end without an appearance by SMG. Very unfortunate...would be nice to have some kind of blowoff with Buffy and Angel.

This freakin sucks. I'm sure whatever they replace Angel with will get killer ratings.

Well, I thought she was a fucking moron for coming onto the show in the first place. But I guess her intuition was right. *shrugs* Rupert sure fucked up with that log cabin thing.

I kind of like how impossible it is to block a punt or a FG in ESPN...it shouldn't be easy to do that at all. Maybe punts should be a little easier to block, as that's a bit more common that blocking field goals. They do the crowd reaction stuff already in ESPN. It would be nice if some of the crowd stuff was team specific. Like showing a bunch of those Raider Nation freaks crying in Black Hole or attacking hot dog vendors or something.

I thoguht the episode was quite good...who knew Angel could pull off a WWII submarine drama. I liked the interaction between Spike and Angel, and Spike definately had that Season 2 vibe going. He could have been more violent though...early Spike definately loved the violence, as well as disobeying authority figures. Sorta wonder where Dru was during that whole thing though. The origin of the Initiative was pretty cool. And you had to like the Prince of Lies, with his excessive laughing and general lameness. And Rasputin's lover. Wacky Vamp hijinks. There's a parallel between Lawson's ideal of "doing what's right" and it just not working out at all, and the Angel's "doing what's right" and it not working out at all. Guess they've been showing stuff like that all season.

Ok, why does everyone love Drew Henson so much? I was reading an article at cnnsi, and the columnist thinks Henson can turn around the Raiders. What's so great about a failed baseball players? Chad Hutchinson did the "fail baseball -> become a QB" thing, and no one orgasmed over him.

ESPN has First-Person Football...is that what you mean by Helmet Cam? FPF is so freakin cool. Now, they could combine that with our off-field problems idea. Imagine seeing, in first person view, your starting QB "tripping over his dog", or your HB breaking his hand while "reaching for the remote". Or Romo punching one of your backups in the face. Hilarity, people.

I dunno if ESPN would do this, now that Playmakers is gone. But I would love it if players could cause off-field problems. Or the media could target the coach (ie you) after a string of losses. Something to give franchise/season a little more oomph. Lots of stuff happens like that in the NFL...if you want your game a true sim, it should be included.
