Hey, general question for everyone: why did the Rams get rid of Dick Vermeil? Mike Martz seems like a complete dumbass as well as a terrible person, while Vermeil seems like a rather nice person. You could see the rapport he has with his players in KC in the last two weeks. Just seems odd to get rid of a good coach like that.

I thought I was dead in the water when I logged onto the live draft and found out I was last pick. Luckily there were some truly terrible pre-rankings that helped me out. Having two picks in a row was helpful too...allowed me to always address two concerns at once. You have a TE that starts? That must be nice. I've been trying to deal for a decent TE all week, no takers. It's weird...some teams are stacked at TE but won't deal any of em.

Agenda for week 3: Devise a nefarious plot to defeat raz, possibly involving hitting him with a sledgehammer.

I posted a message to the actual league board, posting it here too. Why not move the draft date closer to the regular season? Right now, players like Dominek Hasek aren't even available in the yahoo league, which is crazy.

I like Seattle, but anyone saying Super Bowl now is being a tad premature. They killed the Cards, but it's the freakin Cards. Means nothing. They schooled the Saints, but the Saints aren't exactly the class of the league here. If they can convincingly beat a team like Tampa/Buffalo/New England/KC, then sure, start thinking about a playoff run. But until that happens, Seattle is nothing special. Denver also hasn't faced a quality D, so I wouldn't put them up near the top of the AFC.

The Chiefs are scary right now. And they don't even have Gonzo healthy, the guy seems to just be a large diversion in the passing game. The only weakness the Chiefs have is that they haven't faced a really good defense yet. Chiefs-Bills would be a fun game to watch.

It's a very good deal. But I'm strong at WR and having Boller as insurance in case of injury is too useful right now. I have really considered offering the guy up to you, though. Just not worth it now, IMO. Besides, Boller sucks. Pick up Delhomme for free this week...you'll be screwed for bye week, but after that he should be ok.

Use Bit Torrent or something. I didn't find it very difficult to find the ROM. I enjoy the gameplay quite a bit (it's addictive as hell), but this is not nearly as good as the original Final Fantasy Tactics. The storyline is hokey and not nearly as dark as the first time around (thus far, at any rate). I'm not fond of the races as opposed to the old genders, actually...and not having individual Job Points is kind of weird as well. You'll enjoy it as long as you don't expect it to be a true sequel to the awesome FFT.

I don't like the 49ers being so high. Sure, they blew out the Bears. How could you not, when Kordell Stewart was giving the ball up every drive? Sure, Garcia looked good, and Owens is a stud, but I'd rather see how they stack up to quality competition.

Well, the guy is obviously a Canucks fan. I imagine he used to live around the Vancouver area, which is only a couple of hours away from Seattle (I'll probably catch a Seahawks game myself this year, and I'm in Vancouver)

Grossman will be starting eventually, but that doesn't help out Storm now. If he can't swing a trade though, Grossman is the smart pickup (assuming he's still a FA)

If I was Storm, I trade Vick for a low-end starting QB (Collins, Carr, maybe Quincy Carter) as well as a decent RB or WR. Maybe even package in one of his low-end WR and get an upgrade. Vick is a great player, but being without a QB for 3 or more games is death.
