Mack is better than the rapper, but that doesn't mean he's very good. Not enough to push the Texans into the playoffs, at any rate. The Texans have a nice little core with Carr and Johnson, but playoffs right now is just not obtainable. The Colts and Titans are good enough to hand them 4 losses, and they still have games against the Bucs/Pats/Bills/Phins. Houston might be a playoff team few years down the road, but not now. Bah...Seattle has a nice offense, but the holdout by Walter Jones and injury to Shawn Springs will hurt em. There are far better NFC teams than them. And what's up with everyone picking the Dolphins to win the AFC East? Guh? They're good, but Buffalo/Pats have improved a lot more than them. Of course, that division is a total crapshoot. But it seems like the Bills are the top team right now. I really like the picks by Mel Kiper Jr...don't agree so much with the Seattle wildcard or the Giants over the Iggles. But other than that, great. I'm glad someone else is picking the Ravens over the Steelers and the Minnesota pick is nice and gutsy too. Good for him.

It would be interesting if Buffalo signed him, but aren't there other teams who really need help on D? I'm thinking Detroit/Cincy here. Or maybe a better team with a bad D, like the Chiefs. Who has cap room to take the guy?

So what's going to be done with the inactive teams? fazzle and flyboy are active on the boards, but haven't touched their teams, which is kind of disappointing. Berzerker's Vikings actually looks like a pretty good team, so it's weird that whoever that is isn't bothering to participate.

I think the way they booked Goldberg/HHH tonight was really well done too. You can tell just by the crowd, as they were HOT for the entire match just waiting for Goldberg to come it. Nice use of several false hot tags to up the heat even more. But it's WWE, and they're bound to fuck this up somehow. Look for a dog to get involved next week or something.

I find the above paragraph hilarious. I keep on picturing Steve Beuerlein walking up to a cackling Jake Plummer and bitchslapping him. Anyways, to make this post vaguely worthwhile: who thinks Plummer will succeed in Denver? The man definately has the supporting cast to succeed. Pittman is iffy right now at RB, as is Stewart. You might look into trading for a better number 2 RB. What round did you end up picking up Vick?

Bah! Before Michael Bennet got himself injured, I thought the Vikes had sleeper written all over them. The Pack seems to be on the decline, while Minnesota ended the season on a roll. Without a reliable running game, defenses can target Culpepper and Moss. Which means that Culpepper will probably make some bad throws into double coverage. Pack wins. The game should be fun to watch though. I'll be cheering on those underdog Vikes.

Interesting move by Ultimo Guererros. He dropped Kordell Stewart and picked up Byron Leftwich. I know Stewart is unreliable, but I can't see Leftwich (a rookiee non-starter) putting up better numbers than Slash. What do you guys think?

I suspect absolutely terrible pre-draft rankings. Tampa Bay DEF and Tony Gonzales (along with a healthy bunch of QBs) all went before Green/Barber. Very odd. The funny thing is that a bunch of good RBs were still available after my picks (Corey Dillon/Jamal Lewis/Charlie Garner). Very very strange draft. And I know about Pittman, but who else has substance abuse problems? I'm thinking Pittman bribes his way out of jail or something. Besides, as HHH I have to look after those heelish types.

Hey, you do have great WRs, but Morton is no starting RB. I like Whalers on the Moon...they quietly came out with a quality team. Pogo has a good team as well. Those seem like the top two teams. And I think I did pretty well, considering I had the last pick. Ahman Green, Tiki Barber, and Michael Pittman for insurance.

The Bengals are still going to have a bad year though. Maybe 5 wins (if Cleveland collapses twice, Houston/Arizona lose, and they pull off a win out of Baltimore or something). bps is right on the money. Miami, Buffalo, New England, they all made big additions to their squads. The Jets are a decent team, but they're screwed due to the division. I don't see the Pats going 11-5 though, not without a viable running game. I'm thinking the Bills win the division, with Miami and New England battling for a possible wildcard, and probably eliminating each other leaving a team like Baltimore to sneak into the playoffs. Poor AFC East.

I'd think about shipping off Coles. I don't think Coles is going to put up the same kind of numbers as he did last year, and he still has "name" value. He might be willing to part for Lewis with that, or maybe in a package with Crockett.
