George Carlin coming out with a new comedy special
Skywarp! replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in Television & Film
^ The problem with his last show was that he fell into a formulaic rut: "You know who else needs to be (killed in a unique way)? These (subgroup of people with annoying trait). When I see (subgroup of people with annoying trait) I say, hey buddy, (sexually violates person with an inanimate object)." It's funny a couple times, but he did that for about 40% of the show. -

There's an article on Penny Arcade where the contributor bashes the game's control scheme. He also finds a strange sense of guilt playing this game, since it doesn't seem right to be attacking creatures that are just docile, curious and even sleeping. Until you hurt them, that is.

Good call. It's also way too long for what it is. It's up there with "Sweet Caroline" on the list of my most hated songs, as well.

No, pointing to artists you hate and calling their work the worst ever doesn't compare. The link in the original post is very likely the worst song ever. Honestly, by the time they get to the "song" part of it, they only have the time to sing four lines. Although Leonard Niomoy's "If I Had a Hammer" is torture.

Great - four pages of Mike and Marney sucking each other's political dicks. Why would anyone go there? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was the first time I ever saw that forum, and it validates my opinion that this one is far better now that they aren't watchdogging every post in every thread in every folder.

Yes, I used to have it. I think there were 8 levels. What were they again? In no order: Train Station Jungle Docks Castle And that's all I can remember. The first time through, you were collecting cheese for your date. The second time I forget, the third time you were collecting engagement rings, and lastly, a ball for your son's birthday.

Grandma Kicks Baby http://grandmasbaby.ytmnd.com/# At first I didn't know if this was real or not, but I found this site. There are 4 clips of grandma kicking a baby. Episode 3 is the best. http://www.paddysworld.co.uk/modules/wfdow...cat.php?cid=38#

We need Abobo to smash this thread in all caps. It's really the only logical conclusion.

I really hope most of you are kidding--this was one of the worst movies I have seen in a while. I felt it was terrible, except for Ed Harris. The rest of the actors turned in awful performances. I guess there was only so much you could do given those lines, however.

That kid was so stupid that he thought playing video games would get his mind off the fact he just shot someone. Strangely enough, this person is so incredibly stupid that it probably worked...even if he was playing a first person shooter.

While I agree with your choice for best (and a gutsy one at that, as most people prefer s/t), I have to say that I think the worst is "There is Nothing Left to Lose". The first five tracks are great on that album, and then...what happened?
-
I picked 'Roots because Nutsymptom, Lose and Taiyed contain some great jazzy guitar work. The only problem is that they produced it themselves back when they obviously didn't know what they were doing board-wise. You should download the remastered Homebrew from "Greatest Hits '93-'03"; it's clean as whistle and breathes a whole new life into it. On replies to Nirvana, I was on the fence between Nevermind and In Utero for best album, but it occurred to me that the only reason I was had to do with Nevermind being the obvious, popular choice. But you know what? It's the obvious choice for their best because it's true. In Utero was great, yes, but Nevermind deserves it's masterpiece status. As for Bleach, I keep trying to like that album, I really do.

Maybe so, but I dislike the debut because their sense of humor was less present, the production is too muddy, and it feels more like a batch of generic nu-metal songs. In Mezmerize, they embraced a lot more melody, and while the lyrics are nonsensical, it's musically solid.
