^ Yeah, but 'rents get insane when presented with the prospect of letting their kids down for Christmas, or even shattering the Santa myth for them too early.

I was in attendance last night for Pierce vs. Henin-Hardenne and was moved up to courtside for Genipri vs. Gasquet. The latter match was amazing, as it was such an evenly matched, back and forth battle.

You really have a lot of problems with this whole "pooping" thing, my friend.
-
Unfortunately, it's probably not all that hard to get a pic of poo-filled underwear off the 'net. Though, I can't say for sure; I don't go around looking for that sort of thing.

OT: I have actually started reading this site since Andrew posted it, and it is fabulous. I can already make a few apt comparisons. The H.D. folder should have a thread solely for the purpose of assigning characteristics on this site for forum members.

I always liked Numa Numa Idol

I don't think it sounds like "Amber", but I do think the vocal melody to the chorus sounds a lot like a Blue Album b-side called "Next". That's probably where they pulled it from.

Before I get shit on again for making another 311 topic in this folder, I know there's a couple of fans on here, so I'll just quickly point them to http://www.myspace.com/311 where they can listen to the entire album to be released August 16. Pardon the interruption. This folder can now return to regularly scheduled metal appreciation and Weezer dissing threads.

They had music videos for "Possum Kingdom", track 6 ("When I'm Away"?), and "Tyler". For their 2nd album, the first single was "Motivational".

I finally listened to it, and I have to say that this may be a "placeholder" album just to tide us over. However, there are some really good spots in here. I really like how out-there "Waiting" is for them--it's almost "Blondie"-sounding. I think it may be a grower.

It's a great move on his part. Are you going to heckle that? I don't think so.

Basically, yes, Garth signed for a very large sum to have his records carried only by Wal-Mart until about 2010, or something. He said something like "I don't plan on putting out a new record until 2010, anyway, so this basically just affects by back catalog."

They played rarities? Any from Transistor?

I disagree. If anything, I think immature macho bullshit ruins this country. Every rap song is a front with guys reinforcing how tough they are and how much they enjoy fucking, the automotive industry trend is just a "my cock is bigger than yours" display of owning the largest vehicle on the road, and no one shows any shred of sensitivity in fear of homophobic responses. I feel like we're still squarely in the cro-magnon era.

I just find myself indifferent to Coldplay. This is more of a particular song I hate that everyone seems to love, rather than a band: "Sweet Caroline". The drunken participation sections ("Duh-duh-duuuh!" and "So good! So good! So good!") annoy the hell out of me when at any public gathering where buzzed, receeded hairline MBAs want to still prove that they're "hip", in an old-school way, or blasted, dumb-ass frat boys and sorority chicks want to show that they're "down with the classics". It had it's retro-cool resurgence, but it's way past time for it to be re-retired, such as "Celebration" was 20 years ago.

I just got back from Costa Rica, so I haven't had a chance to buy the damn thing yet. Probably tomorrow.

They explain their songs in-depth at 311.com. I can't link to the exact page, since the entire site is dominated by Flash to the point that individual pages don't have true URLs. Go to Media > Discography. It looks like Martinez has really stepped on on this album, not just with performances, but with major song writing credits as well. It should be an interesting listen. One great fact: "Long for the Flowers" is a retooled "Transistor" outtake that was called "Grifters". That old outtake was leaked to the net a while ago, so it will be interesting to see what a Trans-era track, dusted off and retooled, has become.

Excuse me for not reading the entire thread, but from that HHH picture, can we deduce that opponents are present during introductions, instead of disappearing as in all other games?

I actually read a follow-up story. Some kid started a website, possibily saveourtoons.com or something like that... Anyway, this pre-teen kid started an online petition to stop Loonatics from ruining the classic characters. Enough people signed that the Kids' WB noticed and responded. Yes, an online petition actually did something. The aftermath of all of this is that Kids' WB is now classifying these characters as "new", and not a repackaging of the old Looney Tunes.

Whoever produced it sent the guitars to the background, instead of keeping them as bludgeoning as the previous albums. That's the problem here. Well, that and the fact that someone directed Andrew to sing properly, instead of grunting-howling singing.

Some people might say The Presidents of the United States of America, but I think the idiotic humor of the name is hilarious, much like the band itself.
