Basically, you can't really touch the bagel until after dodging his special flip-up move 3 times. Then body blow him thrice for a power shake.

Wow, no one said "D'yer Ma'ker".

Please never call someone from Long Island a New Yorker.

What is long, green and flies? Super Pickle. Why does Dracula drink blood? 'Cause root beer makes him burp. Why was George Washington buried on Mount Vernon? Because he was dead. *runs from thread*

If you beat your own brother half to death over the remote control, then yes, seeking counseling is a stellar idea.

^ You could even do HIStory, and just keep the "Past" disc. If you took "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" and eliminated the skits, the last couple "Love" tracks, and "Tomb of the Boom", there'd be a single rap masterpiece album. Still probably wouldn't be short enough to fit, though.

"The Yellow Submarine" gets on my nerves.

^ They must have taken a break today to run shows that the History Channel had more business showing, I suppose.

One theory suggests that the star the Wise Men most likely followed was actually Jupiter, which was in the constellation of Aries at the time (an astrological alignment that would suggest the birth of a great king). Yeah, I watched the Discovery Channel today.

He didn't. 2005 years ago was when Jesus died, or something like that (been a while since I went to Sunday School)... No, our modern calendar was intended to coincide the year of Jesus's birth with 0. Unfortunately, the guy converting all the different calendars and gave us the one we're working with today fucked up his math. Experts today believe that Jesus was born around 6 B.C.

Not personally, but I have a friend that bought a Clutch album because he thought they had a cool name. He was a fan until the last album or so.

I don't think I've bought a 2005 release yet. However, I am looking forward to new Strokes, System of a Down (2 albums), Andrew W.K., 311 and Weezer.

^ I really think Rivers's subject matter is at its best when he's wistfully innocent, like the Blue Album. I'm not saying I don't like songs about lesbians or barely legal Japanese girls, they're great too, but I don't find them as identifiable as when he's just being a cheesy hopeless romantic. Unfortunately, this song is just fluffy, which isn't going to please anyone in the fanbase.

I didn't realize "Fag" was a typo until the end of your post. That made for a laugh. I don't think anyone wants to know what happens in one of those matches... Berzerker would rule in that game, just because his finishing maneuver is a body drop to the outside for a count out. That would seriously piss off the people you were playing.

"Un-legends of Wrestling". Basically think of guys featured in WrestleCrap and you have the lineup. Finally you can have that Gobbelty Gooker vs. Shockmaster dream match. FYI, Shockmaster's helmet rolls off in each knock-down animation he has.

You know how there was Street Fighter: The Movie? And from there we got Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game? Well this summer, a documentary about kids obsessed with that game will hit theaters: Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game: The Movie. Hitting store shelves at the same time will be Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game: The Movie: The Game. You control the kids as they play the game. Sure, if you order the kid using M. Bison to charge back 2 seconds then hit forward and punch, the little digitized Bison inside the arcade cabinet screen will do a fire torpedo, but you're really commanding the KID on the margin of the screen to do those actions. It's really just about perspective.

The release date is set for around 3/24, and yet we haven't heard much about the game. http://www.eagames.com/redesign/games/ps2/...itters/home.jsp The rating has jumped to M. There's talk about 16 man online play for PS2 and XBox. Using your mapmaker maps online will be a nice touch. Hopefully they'll keep those deep multiplayer options online. I can't imagine too many people will be playing Virus matches, but that could be fun.
-
Well, it's out. IGN says the single player is a bit weak, but that the multiplayer is as deep as ever and is pretty much the whole point. All versions still sport classic splitscreen with bots. For Gamecube, that's the only option. XBox gets 16 player online matches. I weep, as PS2 gets only 8. Still, playing Virus online must be fun.

^ Actually, you got me imagining Dig Dug for that game.

I also think the Green Album is underrated. "Don't Let Go" is my favorite from the whole affair, and also one of my favorite album openers. On "Maladroit", the only stand out, unfortunately, is "Death and Destruction" for being so off the beaten path (for them) and so emotive. I also like "Slob" for it's retro-alternative feel and "Burnt Jamb", despite the nagging sensation that I've definitely heard that riff before.

I don't think that Sharp saw a decline coming and split; I think his splitting was rather the reason for the decline. I think he was supposed to be a big part of the songwriting process. Even his Rentals stuff sounded like old-school Weezer. Should he ever return to the band, I think we'd see a major rejuvination in song quality. In summation, I don't think people should pin Weezer's currently average music solely on Rivers. It's unfair. The whole band influences the songwriting process. They had two different bassists for "Weezer (2001)" and "Maladroit", and the styles/vibes on those albums are night and day. On their DVD, they even said that the new-new bassist had a metal background and was a big influence on the "heavier" "Maladroit" sound. As far as the song: it's not totally God-awful. After all, Weezer was never more than power chords and sing-songiness. They seem to have radio single savvy, so I would need to hear the rest of the album before passing judgment.
