I was actually enjoying the little jam band musical snippits during that episode. Did Matt and Trey just sample a bunch of Phish concerts or did they do their own noodling for this one?

Silly young man. New England has quite a lot of Brown Recluse and Black Widow spiders, actually. Considering the seasonal freezes up there, spiders are even more likely to move into your house or garage. Both species of spider range all the way into Maine and even southern Canada. Also, due to the maritime operations around that part of the country, there's decent odds on other spiders and things coming off of a boat. Damn. I thought B.W.s were warm climate spiders. I expected them to be mostly in southern states and South America.

The thing that annoyed me most watching the preview isn't the new show. It's how WB thinks about the characters. That sort of thinking about the "magic" of the classic shorts is what Disney is all about. Looney Tunes' more risque cartoons were created in response to the wholesome Disney shorts. Someone in WB's marketing team never realized that.

Bees, hornets, any stinging insects. I'm not afraid of cockroaches, unless they are HUMONGOUS BROOKLYN ROACHES! If you try and step on one of those things, you end up surfing down the hallway. When in the ocean, I'm wary of touching bottom because it's littered with crabs in my imagination. I also keep an eye out for jellyfish at all times. I'm glad I live in the Northeast, though. The thought of living somewhere, for instance--Arizona, where you could leave something like a baseball glove someplace dark, like a shed, then come back, stick your hand in it and to your dismay find a black widow nesting in it, gives me the chills. Huge run-on.

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/storymain.jsp?number=1 Public Version of Saddam Capture Fiction? An alleged ex-Marine who claims to have participated in the capturing of Saddam Hussein says the public version of his capture was fabricated, United Press International is reporting. Former Sgt. Nadim Abou Rabeh was quoted in a Saudi newspaper as saying the ousted Iraqi president was actually captured Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, and not the day after, as announced by the U.S. Army, according to UPI. "I was among the 20-man unit, including eight of Arab descent, who searched for Saddam for three days in the area of Dour near Tikrit, and we found him in a modest home in a small village and not in a hole as announced," the UPI report quoted Abou Rabeh as saying. The Pentagon is flatly denying the report. "It's not true, period," Pentagon spokeswoman Cheryl Irwin told WorldNetDaily.com UPI said it published a summary of the al-Medina newspaper report without seeking Pentagon comment. Abou Rabeh, who is of Lebanese descent, according to UPI, said Hussein was captured after fierce resistance. He said Saddam himself fired at them with a gun from the window of a room on the second floor. Then they shouted at him in Arabic: "You have to surrender. ... There is no point in resisting." "Later on, a military production team fabricated the film of Saddam's capture in a hole, which was in fact a deserted well," UPI quoted Abou Rabeh as saying.

My girlfriend got me into Sex and the City and Project: Runway. Sometimes I stay up to watch Gargoyles on Toon Disney, and I want to buy the first season set. -
Video Games That Might Make Good Movies
Skywarp! replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
Charlize Theron or Rebecca Romain Stamos would make good Samus's. They'd probably do it, too. I'm surprised there's never been a feature length Super Mario cartoon. At one time, wasn't there some talk of an Eternal Darkness movie? -
When Luscious Jackson sang "With my naked eye I saw all the falling rain coming down on me" it sounded more like she was saying "With my naked asshole".

New "Realistic Legend of Zelda" Trailer Released
Skywarp! replied to Skywarp!'s topic in Video Games
The childish presentation aside (because it didn't detract from the game--on the contrary, the Wind Waker world was beautiful), I think WW's biggest problem was that sailing got a bit tedious, and the item collection towards the end is a bit out of hand. However, that sailing theme has become one of my favorite Zelda tracks, it's so epic! After beating WW, I went back and played the OOT bonus disk. And I see why it was a superior game. You get more caught up in OOT's world. By the end, you think the entire universe rests on your shoulders. With WW, I was a bit more concerned with just finishing it. -
The industry better realize that video gaming is a hobby. After you pay rent, utilities and buy groceries, if there isn't enough left over to support my gaming fix, it just might not be worth getting a next-gen console.

"Excuse me while I kiss this guy" 311's "All Mixed Up" "So just get off of your ass" sounds like "soldiers get off of your ass".

So they're not going to be able to do a "Reset Button" ending with Mr(s). Garrison. Great episode, though.

There was a 90210 where the cowboy-hat-kid died from playing with a gun he found in a drawer. But that show was always a drama, so I don't think it counts for this thread.

-I recently realized just how much of a coward I am. -I really need to find a permanent job. This temping shit is getting me nowhere. I don't know what I want as far as a career is concerned. I just heard that being an aimless 20-something, like me, has been coined the "Quarterlife Crisis". That's all I'm going to chip off the tip of the iceburg at the moment. -
Matt gets credit for his avatar sig. That's all I have to add.

One of my friends has breast cancer...

I'm sorry to hear that. It's really rough, but she's lucky they caught it quickly. Here's hoping she makes it through ok. -
I used to work for Disney Publishing, and the last I remember, there were no comics about demons in jewels. The storyline must have died sometime between the mid-90s and last summer.

^ If there was a way to have the "Gummi Bears" theme play at the same time, it would be.

"Toy Story 2" was indeed supposed to be DTV, but somewhere in the script process they realized they had some theatrical release material on their hands. I'm not that concerned with Disney's second rate DTV sequels--they are harmless cash-ins in that medium. What concerns me is when they don't have any good ideas for theatrical releases, and things like "The Jungle Book 2" and "Peter Pan 2" get bumped up to the silver screen.

Did I make this list just because of that throwaway "HAHAHAHA POOP!!!!!!!11111" topic I made a few days ago? Or briefly steering that "Americans Slipping in Education" topic in CE towards sexual euphanisms? Hey, I was feeling silly those days. Honestly, despite some dumb joke topics, (and I'm sure lots of people will chime in to refute me on this) I think I am a average, and good, contributor. I believe people write me off because: a) My screen name is that of a wrestler. I used to watch back in '99-'00 when I joined the board and kept the ID for the relaunch in '02. I haven't been a wrestling fan in years. I've thought about letting the mods rename me, but I don't think any good can come of that. Besides, despite being around so long, I'm not even established enough that people would say: "Oh right, that used to be KANE." So I just stick with it, rather than getting people to think that I'm some new, horrible entity. b) I don't put any effort towards entertaining avatars and sigs which may be an subconscious bias to some TSMers. c) Questionable musical tastes. Still, seeing my name on this list is funny. Ah, this place. I love it and hate it all at once but I can't stay away.
