I really only see two types: those that are living at or below the poverty line, and those that enjoy a ridiculous amount of modern luxuries (this second group refers to themselves as middle class, but they're actually upper class. No one wants to admit they're upper class except obvious millionaires). I guess there's a middle class out there; I'm just not seeing them, though.

What exactly was Mike's last straw, since this went down half a year ago?
-
We're also seeing that the middle class is starting to disappear as the gap between the rich and poor grows ever wider.

Hmm...this thread reminded me that we're on the verge of a year in which we don't need to read Cancer Marney's and AMikeSC's repetitive masked flamings. 2005 looks to be a promising year for TSM, indeed.

The 2000s so far: Hated 2000 Hated 2001, but it was better than 2000 somehow. Liked 2002 2003 was better 2004 was just as good, if not better

This is why we don't need 3 WWE games every year. How much can possibly change? They say "We really think we've nailed down that 'No Mercy' control scheme this time, with a more sophisticated reversal system" 3 times every year.

Maybe someone can clarify this. I heard from a Circuit City worker that there were no PS2s available around Christmas because Sony fucked up again. Those slim PS2s have some sort of manufacturing defect that makes them break, so they all went back, meaning there were no PS2s in stock. They shouldn't ship back until February. If my source is credible, of course. I don't think I fully trust him.

I believe Kid Rock released a self-titled record in 2004. It wasn't a big concert year for me, either. The only show I saw was 311 headlining the Roots and Medeski, Martin & Wood.

Maybe the biggest of history? Reports are saying it will likely jump to 60,000.

There should be a MOST AVERAGE POSTER or LEAST VISIBLE POSTER, then I might make a list.

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL

Maybe someone can convince Nintendo to go multi-platform for the first time in history by bringing back Playaction Football. Run diagonally! And the back of the photoshopped Madden box...at the bottom it talks about how they're allowed to end online service "30 days after announcing it on www.electronicarts.com or 30 days after the last game of the 2004-2005 NFL season." Was that part of the photoshopped part, or just shiver-inducing truth? -
Maybe you play with an X-Men style Cerebro helmet. Anything you wish Mario to do, think it and he will do it. In the hands of adolescents, Mario's going to be doing a whole lot of fucking.

have you ever played them? last good one I can remember is General Chaos on Sega. Now if they remade that, I might be on board. General Chaos is great, but you won't see an update, because that would mean E.A. made a game that people would want to try more than once. I blame the idiots who just kept buying the successive same 4 sports-franchise- expansion-packs-masquerading-as-games every year. That allowed E.A. to become the hungry ogre they are today. I used to be one of those kids in the 16 bit days, though.

Whoever is justifying the cops' actions has some serious reality issues. He is 6 with a shard of glass. These are large adult men with kevlar and training on how to take people down. The ends did not justify the means.

I don't know. I haven't seen much Chappelle's Show besides Season 1, and there wasn't a whole lot on that set that was that original or drop dead funny. He basically takes a tv show or commercial, puts a black spin on it, and adds profanity and sexual talk/acts. The whole R. Kelly skit made me feel embarassed for him because it sounded like an 8th grader wrote that parody song and had the idea of pouring syrup on women and pretending it was poop. His show's comedy is too easy, predictable and seems like anyone can write it (save for Clayton Bigsby). I'm a fan of his "Killin' Them Softly" special, though.

Was "Milkshake" a 2004 song? Because as much as it was annoying, I couldn't get the chorus out of my head.
-
It's the time of year to start breaking this out again. Anyone else have this in CD format? For those that do, what song do you like best? Mine is "Swiss Colony Beef Log".

Yeah, "Dead, Dead, Dead" is great because on one level it's depressing and creepy, which is why it's funny, but on a second level it has a positive "seize the day" spin. That's one of the highlights of the album.

I think the new, slimmer PS2 comes with the network adapter built in. Anyway, if you're looking for a free experience, most PS2 games are free to play online, except a few like the ones mentioned above. The only ones I have are SOCOM II (which I'm addicted to) and Resident Evil: Outbreak. I'm going to get the new Call of Duty for Christmas, I believe. I think it's fun. Enemy A.I. is predictable, but people can always find new ways to surprise you. No two games online are the same. Some games allow the use of the USB headset. If you get into SOCOM, you'll find it's better to have it. Most games also allow the USB keyboard. That's not very necessary.

I can't wait for Timesplitters 3, reported to be in development. Unfortunately, I heard EA is publishing it. Hopefully, the game won't reek of their meddling, but I bet it will. I'm hoping for an upgraded mapmaker with, possibly, outdoors locations and tiles that would actually look like someone's walls.

Can anyone confirm or deny that "Nevermind's" hidden track was the 1st ever?
-
I must have missed something, because I thought EON was repetitive and long. I'm the only one, though.

Mad Dog, I am sorry, man, but you're probably at the top of the list for CE-ers on ban watch. All you do is swoop in after someone else already attacked INXS, C-Bacon, or occasionally, Shoes Head, repeat what the person before you said, then take personalized low blows at those that at one time posted something intimate about their lives on the forum: for INXS: Then he's going to steal his girlfriend's money and give her an STD! for Shoes Head: Why don't you just go and pay $260 for another hooker? and I guess you're just waiting for C-Bacon to open himself up to the board so you can get some ammo. Seriously, using mudraking to discredit someone's political views isn't consistent with your posts in this thread about "adding nothing to the discussion". Again, I'm not trying to flame here, I'm just objectively pointing out what I have seen repeatedly as a CE observer.

I remember one thread in particular from years back where he was bitching about Angle losing to Val Venis at a HOUSE SHOW. Pages upon pages of responses appeared from flabbergasted posters who could find no words except: "Is your life really this empty?" and "Anglesault, you are such a dork."
