It's not just that the situation is a mess. It is also that we are clearly not in control of it.

The Giants have now tied their total wins for the entire 2003 season. I hope they can keep it up.

I heard if your movie is unrated or NC-17, then Blockbuster won't carry it for rental. That would hurt them even more.

Basically anything that isn't nu-metal at this point.

Probably because he should have went to a hospital prison--a place that could meet his requirements for living. Sending him to a pen was an awful lapse in judgment, and a decision that caused someone's death. I don't know if he should be formally charged with a crime, but he needs at least a slap on the wrist, maybe even a demotion if such a thing exists for judges.

Pitchfork seems to exist only to see who they can piss off by being too elitist for elitists. Their reviews aren't impartial either--it almost seems like they made their decision whether to praise or can the album before they've even heard it. On some days it seems they pan an album because they're in a particualrly grouchy mood. Even when they begrudgingly admit that an album is basically flawless, instead of heaping praise, they'll find that one thing to nit-pick on and spend at least one paragraph on it. The worst examples of reviews are the types where they write them as little skits which only offers bits of information and doesn't tell you anything about the album at all.

Can that 1st article be credited to something other than the Scotsman?

Oh, I see now. You're counting "Your New Favorite Band" as their 2nd album. While technically true in the states, I consider that more of an early days curiosity for the hardcore fans than a proper second effort. The album I'm talking about is "Tyrannosaurus Hives", and I think that one is a damned good album that makes "Veni Vidi Vicious" look like child's play.

Is it at least better than Deadly Alliance? That game was garbage.

I didn't say they changed a lot, but they changed. And enough so that both bands debut albums have been ruined for me. I feel both parties 2nd albums blow the 1st ones away.

I really disagree with the idea that The Strokes and The Hives sophmore albums were "carbon copies" and didn't expand on their sounds. They did.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/science/09/30...s.ap/index.html If you've been following the news in the past few days, scientists are noting that the situation has been getting worse and worse. Here's hoping that if eruption is inevitable, that it's not as destructive as the 1980 blast. They don't seem to think it will...

http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/science/10/01...lens/index.html Mt. St. Helens is now spewing smoke and ash. Experts say this is the one step before eruption.

Maladroit had some really good tunes in it--Slob, Death and Destruction and Burnt Jamb--but the raw edge just didn't suit them well, I think. Plus the video version of Keep Fishin' is so much better than the album version that it was ruined for me.

I have a PS2, and I'm aware that the PC and XBOX versions are superior. My question is: if I'm a SOCOM II addict, would this be a great game to get?
-
I think Green was underrated, but Maladroit wasn't very good. I don't know why everyone holds Pinkerton on a pedestal, though. In my opinion, Blue beats the pants off it.

Super Mario 2 with all the enemy descriptions and strength/speed comparisons between the 4 playable characters.

There are no words for how disgusting that is.

I think "Original Pranksta" was their lowest point. You know, the video where a guy takes a bite out of a shit sandwich.

CD burning is the major reason why all greatest hits albums coming out recently have new songs on them (that, and getting the die hards to buy it as well). It makes sense.

Please explain "arcade-like": do you mean it's run and gun? That's fine with me, too. I understand there's auto aim in this which sounds like the worst idea ever for online play. Still, the thought of being part of a battlefield mayhem is making me salivate. Maybe I should just go buy "Call of Duty".
