  1. I actually thought that game was pretty overrated.
  2. Speaking of Goldeneye, what happened to Rare, anyway? The last game Rare made was one of the Banjo-Kazooie games on N64, I think. Rare's "Conker's Bad Fur Day" ended up being the last N64 title, ever. They then made "Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet" for the Gamecube, and then Microsoft bought them for an exclusive 2nd party. Most of Rare's staff fled and formed 3rd Party developer, Free Radical ("Timesplitters 2"), but the group offically named Rare is working on the next "Conker" title for X-Box.
  3. And now they're set to shit on "Goldeneye," the only good Bond game, which was because EA had nothing to do with it the first time.
  4. Yeah, "Super Wrestlemania" was probably the worst, with the exception of "Steel Cage Challenge" and "King of the Ring". Every moveset in SWM was exactly the same, so really when you were picking a character, the only differences were skins and midis of the themes. Oh, and there was no point in tagging out during Survivor Series matches; energy meters didn't refill in that game.
  5. Also I remember that while you couldn't jump off the top rope the computer could do it at anytime which pissed me off. I remember wanting to play this game so bad when it came out and when I borrowed it from a friend it barely had anyone in it and it was to hard to figure like you said. You could jump off the bottom two turnbuckles. You ran at them and pressed both buttons when close. However, the move from the top occurred immediatly.
  6. There was actually another mode when you added at least 3 people, with the maximum of 6. It's a round robin league, where everyone plays everyone once (if you have less than 6 people, you can skip CPU vs CPU matches). The guy with the best record (with best match time used as a tie-breaker) becomes the Champion. Actually very advanced for such an early game.

    Taking a Chance with NYC

I just felt like I needed to write to a bunch of anonymous peers. I'm 25, in Philadelphia, and I've been in a distance relationship with a girl for about a year and a half now. For the same amount of time, I have been working at a $10/hour job with an internationally recognizable company. Now we decided it's time to get in the same place to see where our relationship goes. Philly is out, so that means Brooklyn. So, I've been applying for apartments and jobs, and I put my 2 weeks in with my current job. My thought is that I'll register with temp agencies when I get there. I know I'm being foolish and following my heart, and I'm not even sure what kind of responses I'm looking for. I guess I'm just a little worried about things and this works a little like therapy. Anyone have any similar stories of "taking the chance?" How did it turn out?

    Taking a Chance with NYC

Yeah, I'm definitely going to find a roomie and an affordable apartment. I'm going to do Brooklyn; Manhattan is not even under consideration. I might put 1/3rd of my savings into a 2-year CD so I can't touch it.

    USA POW Beheaded

Has anyone seen the video yet? Absolutely horrific. I'll never get the sound of that man's screams when the knife starts sawing his neck out of my head, ever.

Why did you name yourself THAT?

When I still watched wrestling, my favorite was Kane. That was a long time ago.

    Musicians selling-out

The most blatant and quintessential example of selling out is comparing pre "Fly" and post "Fly" Sugar Ray.

    Most frustrating bugs..

There's a certain save point in GTA: Vice City where if you save at it, you erase your file. Double Dragon II: I swear that once the life counter glitched and I got infanite lives. Sometimes in the Ninja Gaidens, there would be walls you could fall through and die.

My Acclaimed Return to the Main Page

Is it bravery or lack of common sense that would compel you to write articles like that?
  16. I apologize in advance for the annoying journalistic style. Fark.com The joke was on Ashton Kutcher and MTV's prank show "Punk'd" when they staged a mock arrest of the hiphop group The Black Eyed Peas at a phony brothel -- and the rappers' entourage started punching out the pretend police! One friend of a band member slugged an off-duty cop hired to lend authenticity to the raid and another actor was tackled and knocked into the swimming pool. "The masterminds at 'Punk'd' will think twice before they try to pull another prank on The Black Eyed Peas!" said an insider. PARTY TIME The practical joke started innocently enough with the Peas being invited to a party at a Hollywood Hills mansion. But when group members, with the offbeat names will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo, arrived they saw couples retiring to bedrooms in the mansion. Just as the "Punk'd" pranksters planned, the Peas and their entourage found themselves in the middle of a brothel party with high-priced call girls. SUSPICIOUS "Band member will.i.am was an accomplice in the prank," said an eyewitness. "But the rest of the band and their entourage became suspicious." Just then a team of seven phony vice cops rushed in from all directions. Some of the band members tried to explain it was a big misunderstanding, but the Peas' pleas fell on deaf ears. MUSICAL MELEE And then all hell broke lose. "When one of the cops acted like he was going to slap the cuffs on will.i.am, one of his friends punched a cop in the jaw, which sent him flying backwards and into the pool," said the eyewitness. "Then, the guy tackled another one of the prop-cops and they both went tumbling into the pool!" The "Punk'd" crew members hurriedly tried to explain that it was just a joke -- but nobody was laughing. ABSENT ASHTON Usually at this point Ashton comes out of hiding and lets the celebrity in on the prank, but a spokesman said the actor was away on location for a movie. It's just as well. The Black Eyed Peas quickly left because tensions were so high, said the eyewitness. "If they had stayed, it probably would have led to a full-fledged brawl between the band and the 'Punk'd' crew." WWF No Mercy Question

I actually liked 2000's story mode better. You could follow it week by week. In No Mercy's, it seemed like you wrestled on RAW twice, then a PPV, and it felt like it was at random or that it was coming out of nowhere.

    Disney blocks "Fahrenheit 9/11"

The movie isn't as much pro-gun control rhetoric as it is a study on why we have such a violent culture. On that basis, it's worth you give it a look.

Is it true that Europeans hate Americans?

As Americans, I think we don't realize that the volume of our voices is loud and obnoxious to the soft-spoken Europeans. Don't talk loud and you probably won't aggrivate anyone.

"Stupid White Men" was originally blocked until a mass campaign started to get it released. I'm sure the same will happen here.

  25. Eyewitness: On the ground in Falluja As US military commanders in Iraq say they are planning to pull back from Falluja, BBC News Online spoke to two Iraqi residents of Falluja to get a picture of life in the besieged city. The BBC is currently unable to get its own reporters inside Falluja. Fadel al-Badrani, a Reuters reporter in Falluja, says it is calmer in the city today compared to the two previous days. "Every now and again, there is shelling. There was heavy shelling and exchange of fire about an hour ago in the industrial zone. "I've just heard that a family was killed in a civilian car, by US forces. The family was allowed into the city in a lull in the fighting. When the fighting resumed they were caught up in it. I'm told that they were hit by American fire from a plane." Mr Badrani describes the situation for the city's residents as a "severe humanitarian crisis", due to the lack of water and electricity supplies, and shortages of foods and medicines. "No aid is getting into Falluja right now. There are many families that cannot leave their houses because of the American snipers, especially in east, west and south. "For the last seven days, at least, all the international aid that has come into the city has been piling up at the Jordanian hospital to the east of Falluja." Running out of food Sabah Alani is a retired doctor. He spoke to BBC News Online from his home in the north east of Falluja, not far from the industrial zone where there has been heavy fighting over the last few days. "When the shelling happens, our house shakes, and most of our windows are shattered. Opposite us is a US sniper position. "We don't go out of the house at all, of course. We've run out of food. We are living off tea and bread." He also describes a severe humanitarian crisis, especially in the area he is in. "One day recently, I heard, 23 trucks of water and food made it to Falluja. They didn't get to the areas it's most needed - and are 23 trucks of water and food enough for the 150,000 people that are left in the city?" Driven to hate Mr Alani says that siege of the city and the shelling is just increasing support for the insurgents in the city. "It's not a matter of whether I or anyone else in the city supports the 'resistance' to the Americans. "I don't support them, but the way the Americans have dealt with and are dealing with this city makes me hate every American here, more and more." "We are being driven to hate them - me and everyone else here." Story from BBC NEWS: http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/midd...ast/3670587.stm
