To backup on that Miami/Buffalo game, if the roof is closed then the Dolpins can find a way to win. If that game was in Buffalo I'd go with the Bills since I shy away from picking Florida teams traveling north in December.

1. Who are you and what's your business here? I first started posting on some form of this site as far back as the old Rantsylvania days circa 2000. Posted on the Rant Crew back then, then followed the site as it changed over to thesmartmarks.com and through various owners, etc. Mostly just give my thoughts on the shows really, no serious agenda either way. 2. When did you discover an interest in wrestling? I'm hazy on it but it was sometime between the first Survivor Series and first Royal Rumble. Just an episode of All American wrestling on USA with Strike Force against two masked jobbers. From there I was hooked and who wouldn't be with the first Rumble, then Main Event, WM, etc.? From there I got into the NWA a bit with the first Clash, also watched Memphis on local TV. 3. The Company Line: A. Which companies have you actively followed in your tenure as a wrestling fan? Always WWF, NWA/WCW (though wasn't a huge fan), Memphis/USWA, Global on ESPN, ECW once we got it here in 1996, TNA as well. B. What have some of your favourite companies been? Your least favourite? (In theory, your answer can be the same - if you were growing up a fan of the technical wrestling WCW brought to the table but thought the end of the line for them was some of the worst television this side of My Mother The Car, that's cool). Companies all have ups and downs but I have always generally enjoyed WWF/E over the years aside from the hideous mid 90s period. WCW circa late 1994 and into 1995 was awful as well, but the 1996 era was awesome. ECW circa 1998-99 was really good too I thought. Least favorite was WCW circa 1999 however. That stuff is so bad I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Actually I take that back....I would! C. What is your favourite company right now? Any reason why? I would say SD with Edge back and perhaps Christian and Tomko joining him but since that hasn't technially happened yet I'll actually say TNA. The Main Event Mafia has been fun so far. 4. (Not So) Favourites: A. Who were your favourite wrestlers (or gimmicks) growing up / when you first started watching wrestling? Bulldog, Bret, Steamboat, Santana, The Rockers (but not HBK solo). Lawler and Jeff Jarrett in the USWA. Oddly enough I never liked anyone in WCW all THAT much. B. Who were some guys you couldn't stand? I really disliked Shawn from roughly 1992 to 1998. It started when he beat the Bulldog for the IC title. C. Who are your current favourites (if applicable / different from A.). Not sure if RVD counts as a current favorite since he is inactive. Jericho has been great of late, Edge is terrific on SD, and while I give Shawn crap for his 1990s antics he's been dynamic this year. Santino is a fun comedy act. And for guilty pleasures: Steiner. D. There was a 4th question here, but it basically ripped off the entire premise of a thread (or more than one thread, in theory) that already exists in General. ? Specific Questions about your Interest 5. How would you gauge your current interest level in the product? I'll still quite interested. WWE and TNA both frustrate me, but I still watch the TV shows and try to catch PPVs if I can. I was most interested in wrestling back around 1992 when I got back into it. Ironically enough in the late 90s I was of course highly interested but on some level wished the casual fans would go away since I've often preferred wrestling to be a cult deal. As in profitable but not to the absurd point of having to get up at 6AM to buy tickets and stand around the block. 6. At what point in wrestling history (if it's not now) would you consider your interest to have been at it's peak? Ironically I just answered that: 1992. That's when I was most interested yet my parents never really allowed me to get PPVs. It wasn't until SummerSlam 1998 that I got a PPV, and I still deeply regreat not getting KOTR 98. 7. At what point could you tell your interest was dipping and why do you think this happened, or what specific event(s) triggered the decrease? I was still really into the WWF huge until they started doing a bunch of horrible crap at various points in 2002. Becoming WWE, the brand split, etc. But my interest started waning once Rob Van Dam got buried on Raw in late 2002. 8. Have you ALWAYS stuck with wrestling even during times of low interest, or are there any lengths of time you stopped watching for a period only to come back at a later date? I stopped watching in Dec. 1989 or so and didn't watch again until Feb. 1992 when I saw SNME. There was really no reason for this, I just didn't watch. 9. If applicable, at what point did you decide to pack in the wrestling fandom? Still a fan. Interesting Questions of a Somewhat Random Nature 10. What style of pro wrestling best resonates with your personal tastes? Has it always been this way, or have your tastes changed over time? Technical wrestling with a quick pace and few restholds. I enjoy that sort of wrestling and find it a lost art in WWE today. I enjoy high flying lucha style stuff as well, but at times the rules are silly. Hardcore is fine I guess, but I've never been amazed by the whole falls count anywhere schtick. 11. Where do you "draw the line" with the whole "suspended disbelief" deal? Do you tell critics to "relax because it's just wrestling and you should enjoy the matches" (aka TNA fans about everything that happens on Impact!), do you come up with solutions that the writing team didn't bother to think about but you figure "it's there if you read between the lines" (aka "WWE Apologists"), somewhere inbetween, or do you take your greatest joy in watching wrestling to deconstruct everything that makes no sense? It depends on how I view a certain company. With WWE I expect something decent so if they have a stupid angle or a bad match, then I'll let that opinion be known. With old WCW stuff, after a while I stopped caring and just laughed at it since it was so horrid (around 2000) so I took those shows with a grain of salt. 12. Do you attend live events? And more specifically, do you get a thrill out of big arena shows, do you prefer the smaller 'intimate' settings of the local indy show, or would you rather forget the whole thing and watch everything unfold on your HDTV without dealing with 'the marks'? I went to WM this year actually, though it's more for the experience itself rather than actually being able to see. I have largely stopped bothering with house shows, though I did go to a TNA show last year. If Raw or SD came here I'd probably go. 13. If applicable, what are the best and worst experiences you've had going to a show live? Best would be either the first marathon TV taping I went to in Oct. 1992 or the Judgment Day 2000 PPV. Worst would be a hideous WCW house show in 2000 with about 2000 people in the 20,000 seat Freedom Hall. Not only was that show bad, I got pulled over by the cops for no reason while driving home. 14. What are your favourite matches, moments, or events? I love the epic stadium or arena shows, so I'll go with SummerSlam 1992. I already mentioned that era was the most I've ever enjoyed wrestling, and I remember wishing that I could have gotten that PPV (it was the choice of that or going on vacation...I chose 1 week of that over a few hours of a PPV). Bret/Bulldog from that show is still my favorite match of all time and I love the splendor of Wembley Stadium on that show. 15. Freestyle Add any closing remarks you feel are absolutely necessary to letting TSM know your thoughts on wrestling.

Predictions for the week: THURSDAY NIGHT GAME: Oakland at San Diego: Well, I said in the last week's thread that I am not picking the Chargers again in a major game. This however doesn't qualify as a major game. Chargers by 7. EARLY Jacksonville at Chicago: Wow, the Jags look done at this point. The Bears are still somewhat in the division race so they really need to win this one at home. Chicago by 10. Minnesota at Detroit: A while back I thought this might be the week where the Lions finally got the win. However the Vikings are playing well right now so there's no way. Vikings by 14. Houston at Green Bay: I'll be honest, I have no idea. Houston looks terrific at times and awful other times...ditto Green Bay. Still, should the Packers lose to a 5-7 team at Lambeau? Packers by 5. Cleveland at Tennessee: With the Browns down to a 3rd stringer at QB this one should be very, very ugly. Titans by 21. Cincinnati at Indianapolis: The Colts have weathered the storm and now are rewarded with 2 weeks of Cincy and Detroit. So what will they do? Win by 4! Atlanta at New Orleans: Saints are tough at home but the Falcons need this win to stay in the playoff hunt. Should be an entertaining, high scoring game. ATL by 3. Philadelphia at NY Giants: This is basically do or die for the Eagles, but the Arizona game was more of an exception than the norm for these guys. Regardless of Plaxico's antics, Giants by 7. LATE NY Jets at San Francisco: It wouldn't shock me if the Jets went out west and tanked here, but after last week's meltdown against Denver they should get it back on track. Jets by 8. New England at Seattle: Seattle is still tough at home sometimes but if the Pats have any postseason hopes they need to win this one. NE by 7. Kansas City at Denver: Chiefs somehow beat the Broncos the first time around, but there's no way it can happen twice. Right? Broncos by 9. Miami vs. Buffalo (at Toronto): Not sure what is up with Trent Edwards this week, but the Dolphins are still contending so they need this. However, this is still Miami playing in freezing Toronto so I'll reluctantly take the Bills by 3. St. Louis at Arizona: If the Cardinals haven't clinched yet, they will after this one. Arizona by 13. Dallas at Pittsburgh: Game of the day by far. Steelers D is just terrific and this just seems like a game where Romo will screw it up. Steelers by 6. SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Washington at Baltimore: Some are hyping this as a big game, but the Redskins are borderline done at this point. Ravens will lay the hammer down here to set up the epic rematch with the Steelers. Ravens by 10. FOOTBALL ON MONDAY NIGHT Tampa Bay at Carolina: Tampa crushed the Panthers the first time around and this should be a tough, physical game. That said, Carolina tends to find a way to win at home, so I'll take them by 4.

Anyone know why Duke plays Michigan all the time? Has no one told Coach K (or ESPN) that this isn't the early 90s and no one cares about Michigan? The Purdue game however could be very interesting. UCLA vs. Texas could be an interesting game as well. I'll take the Longhorns in that one, mainly due to not knowing where UCLA's points are coming from.

Here is the key difference in all of the more recent turns: Austin was still mega over in 2001. He had just come back from serious neck surgery and was being cheered by the fans. If anything it was The Rock that was getting stale and HE needed the heel turn, not Austin. It didn't help matters that Rock basically vanished to film Scorpion King around that time and when he got back started feuding with Booker and the whole Austin/Vince angle never really paid off. And no, Survivor Series 01 was not the payoff to that feud. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting for that Austin/RVD blowoff. Though that wasn't exactly a feud per se. Anyone who remembers the SD from 2001 where Austin got pissed and challenged anyone to a fight only to have RVD walk through the door knows that era produced some magnificent shows. Ditto Goldberg, he had just returned from putting his arm through the window and was over with the crowd. Turning him was stupid. Hogan in 1996? Good grief he was stale and needed the heel turn. He hadn't been a heel for 15 years, longer than nearly everyone who was watching wrestling.

Is there some sort of law stating that Orton can never hit his Lethal Kick of Doom on Cena? When Jericho had Cena in the Liontamer at the end of the show it would have been an ideal time. Jericho is for all intents and purposes a dead man walking at this point when it comes to main eventing. He's clearly in this match at Armageddon so he can job out and they can build Orton for the Rumble (and maybe No Way Out too). The IC tourney has a solid Final 4 but I have to admit Rey winning was a bit puzzling. The whole Knox attack seemed to be building to the excuse for Rey losing to The Miz, but he won anyway. It looked like they were going for Punk/Morrison and Kofi/Miz in a battle of tag teams facing off in singles matches.

I actually did see Transporter 3 on a spur of the moment thing and it was better than most reviews would have you believe. Lots of fun, great stunts and action set pieces. None of it could remotely happen, but who cares?

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
cabbageboy replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Didn't Judgment Day 2001 have some sort of decent Angle/Benoit match on it? Backlash 2001 had a really fun Rhino/Raven hardcore match that was one of the highlights of that particular belt. The only real clunker from that 2000-01 period that I can think of was KOTR 2000. Everyone was already in the main event and the tourney itself was a misfire. -
I don't know what to make of Australia, Lushus. The insane run length hurts it a lot, I know it kept me from going to see it even though I like both of the stars (Baz Luhrmann not so much). It was interesting that most of the TV ads focused more of Jackman than Kidman. I think Kidman's days as a top level A list star are nearly over if this movie flops, since someone will take the heat for it and Jackman can always go back to another Wolverine movie.

And now to check the predictions for the week: Tennessee @ Detroit: Bah to the Jets for ruining the epic undefeated vs. winless matchup. Ah well, the Titans will be really, really pissed off and Daunte Culpepper may not make it out alive. Tennessee by 21. (This was the expected squash. Next. 1 for 1) Seattle @ Dallas: Cowboys look somewhat back on track against scrubs at least, and Seattle certainly qualifies as a scrub. Dallas by 14. (Another expected squash. Next. 2 for 2) Arizona @ Philly: Okay, the Eagles are a complete debacle right now but yet for whatever reason I think McNabb rallies the troops for this one. Besides, the Cardinals suck when they travel east. Eagles by 4. (Instincts were right about the Eagles here and it wasn't even close. 3 for 3) San Francisco @ Buffalo: I was wrong about the Bills last week, but not this week. It's also the notorious west coast team going east syndrome. Bills by 10. (Ugh, Edwards goes out again and the Niners get an ugly win. 3 for 4) Carolina @ Green Bay: Carolina is done playing losers for the most part and they have yet to prove they can beat anyone decent on the road. Packers still qualify as decent...I guess. Green Bay by 7. (At this point I'm not sure the Packers qualify as decent, but still a solid win for the Panthers at Lambeau. 3 for 5) Giants @ Washington: Not buying the Redskins at all, their record is better than it should be with that +2 differential. Giants by 9. (Giants beat them down from start to finish. 4 for 6) Colts @ Browns: It's the usual deal here...the Colts cannot afford to lose this game. It might be the usual struggle since the Browns can play fairly well at times. Indy by 6. (Awful, awful game. Colts seem to struggle with the Browns for whatever reason. 5 for 7) Ravens @ Bengals: Ravens look back on track and should keep it going here. This is another game where a contender can't afford to lose. In fact I think the Ravens win that division, given the Steelers' unreal schedule down the stretch. Ravens by 13. (This was a formality, Ravens need to keep winning to set up the showdown with the Steelers. 6 for 8) Miami @ St. Louis: At this point playing the Rams is basically a bye week. Dolphins should get back on track and win this by 14. (Jackson was back so it was closer than expected, but the Dolpins yet again escape with the win. 7 for 9) Saints @ Buccaneers: Somehow I doubt Brees will put up 300 yards and 4 TDs against the Tampa defense. Bucs also owe them one from the season opener. Tampa by 5. (Bucs got the expected payback in another close game. 8 for 10) Atlanta @ San Diego: This is a really, really tough call. The Falcons are a great story but are also capable of puzzling losses (Denver). Chargers at this point are in 100% "We can't lose another game" mode. So with great hesitation I'll take SD by 3. (Okay Chargers, piss off. I'm done picking this team to win a critical game. Like the Falcons a lot, though even at 8-4 they might miss the playoffs. 8 for 11) Pittsburgh @ New England: The Steelers have a frightening schedule from here on (after this they have Dallas, Baltimore, and Tennessee left). Cassel is now on a roll for the Pats and they should take this one at home. NE by 7. (I'll give it up for the Steelers. Bravo, that was a beatdown at Foxboro. 8 for 12) KC @ Oakland: Oh lord, this is too good to be true. Tyler Thigpen has put up some nice numbers but the Chiefs can't buy a win. Raiders are coming off a beatdown of the Broncos, so they'll keep it going at home. Raiders by 10. (Thigpen didn't put the numbers this week, and now the Chiefs actually win the game. I dunno. 8 for 13) Denver @ Jets: Denver is the most puzzling team in the league, one week looking great in beating the Falcons and then getting owned by Oakland. Can't see the Jets losing this one at home though. NYJ by 12. (Can anyone possibly explain the riddle wrapped in an enigma that is Denver? Or the Jets as well for that matter? 8 for 14) Chicago @ Minnesota: Very tough game to call and the winner has a leg up in the division. Vikings are playing fairly well right now so when in doubt take the home team. Minnesota by 3. (Wasn't even a close game, Vikings are getting hot. 9 for 15)

WKU 68, U of L 54. Ugh, I thought U of L was overrated at #3 but that was just ugly and embarrassing. From watching these first few games this may well be like 2006 for the Cards in terms of being highly ranked, but in reality not very good. Imagine what WKU would have done today if they still had Courtney Lee and Tyrone Brazelton.

After this fiasco the Big 12 needs to seriously change its alignment at the very least. The North and South are so ridiculously imbalanced. Why not just combine the whole thing and take the top 2 teams and have the Big 12 title game? Sure, there would still be a 3 way tie for 1st with OU, Texas, and TX Tech, but for the sake of sanity we'll ignore Tech since they just got thrashed by OU and beat Baylor by 7. The whole idea of taking the top 2 BCS teams and doing a conf. title game is a decent enough idea, marred by Missouri being the fly in the ointment. I don't understand the logic of Oklahoma over Texas in the BCS. There's no logical argument behind it. Both teams went 11-1. Texas had an SOS of #1, OU was #2 (according to realtimerpi.com anyway). And Texas beat OU head to head. So OU goes to the title game? This is the same goofy logic that had Florida St. beating Notre Dame out for the title in 1993 when both teams had 1 loss, ND beat FSU head to head, but since ND lost on a last second FG to BC they were screwed. Further, even OU uber fans like Dama admit that OU has zero shot at beating someone like Florida in the title game....so why put them IN IT? We've all seen OU's BCS flops over the past 5 years, so frankly I have little desire to see them repeat it. Put OU in that game and Florida destroys them and then people wonder "Um...why did we put these guys in this game again?" At least Texas has a recent positive history of winning major bowls, with the epic Rose Bowl wins over Michigan and USC. Solution: Put OU against Ohio St. in a lesser BCS bowl. At least one of them has to win that one.

Edge merely said he wasn't in Boston at that point, which may be true. He never said he didn't plan the attack or pay off others to do it. Hopefully that will be the Christian/Tomko comeback spot, being the guys who attacked Jeff. What a wild thought though. The Hardys and E & C could feud over the tag titles, secondary titles, and eventually the WWE title. Sure, Christian could end up on ECW to feud with Matt, but that will obviously shift to SD about as much anyway. Just keep Christian and Tomko away from Raw. Nothing but jobbing awaits them there.
-
To clarify this OU/TX thing, head to head matters more in regards to OU and Texas because there isn't a clear cut tiebreaker if there is a 3 way tie for the division. Tech could do everyone a big favor and just lose to Baylor and save everyone a lot of trouble. I don't really see a convincing argument when it comes to OU over Texas though. If both teams win they are 11-1 and it's not like Texas played nobody. OU played a tougher non conf. schedule with Cincy and TCU, but didn't play Big 12 North winner Missouri (which Texas did). So is anyone supposed to think OU should get in the national title game over Texas because they squashed Cincy in what was at the time a glorified paycheck game?

No one has mentioned college hoops here yet, so I'll throw out a couple of teams: 1976 Indiana Hoosiers. Last team to go undefeated. Bear in mind the 75 Hoosiers also could have done it if not for Scott May's broken arm. 1996 Kentucky Wildcats. Yeah they lost 2 games that year, both to FF teams (UMass, Miss St.). The rest of the season between that early season UMass loss and the SEC Finals loss was the biggest amount of destruction I've ever seen a college team lay down. Biggest NCAA tourney margin of victory ever as well I think, surpassing UNLV in 1990. For the NFL I'll throw out one that for whatever reason isn't mentioned all that often: The 1984 San Francisco 49ers. Like the 85 Bears they also ended up 18-1, but the 1 loss was to the Steelers by 3 points and they destroyed Dan Marino (in his greatest season) for the Super Bowl instead of beating a weak ass Pats team. As for the NBA, I'll throw out a slight variation on what has been said and go with the 1997 Bulls. Sure, the 1996 team won 3 more games (72 to 69) but take a look at the 1997 Eastern Conference. It was unreal! We're talking about a 56 win Atlanta in the 2nd round for the Bulls, then a 61 win Miami Heat in the Eastern Finals, then a 64 win Utah Jazz. The 1996 and 97 teams are basically the same, but I think the 1997 Bulls had a slightly more impressive run.

Alternate version of '47 Miracle on 34th ST?
cabbageboy replied to Madmartigan21's topic in Television & Film
Eh, 1947 was a bit late for the whole alternate foreign version deals though. That was purely an early sound era phenomenon before subtitles and dubbing became the norm, like with the Spanish version of Dracula or some of Maurice Chevalier's movies also being filmed in French. Anyway, there isn't an alternate 1947 Miracle on 34th Street as far as I know. Plenty of remakes however. The 1955 TV version on the Fox hour has Thomas Mitchell as Kris Kringle, so it might be intriguing to see Uncle Billy as Santa. -
Rhino has never been a believable babyface though, even as recently as the past month or so on TNA. He's just too much of a natural heel and even as a face seems too much like an intense asshole. Ditto the Dudleys, those guys are just natural heels. And what is up with the constant mentions of ECW in TNA? Rhino wasn't even a notable star in ECW during most of the Dudleys' run there, not becoming a star of any kind until the last year or so of the company when they were going under.
-
No one has mentioned this bodyguard angle yet: Berlyn and The Wall. Of course with that one I don't really recall The Wall ever turning or anything. One day he was just wrestling matches. I enjoyed one in OVW with Bobby Lashley being in Bolin Services and they did a slow burn where he eventually got fed up with Ken Doane. Eventually Lashley got pretty over from this angle and WWE called up him, so oddly enough he ended up jobbing in the blowoff to the feud.

I was wondering how they would explain Vickie and Edge now being back together...and they really didn't to anyone's satisfaction. How hard is it for Edge to say "Yeah, marriage counseling works wonders and I recommend it?" The end of the show was puzzling. Are they really just going to have another lame 3 way on PPV (that Jeff will miss due to being attacked again, or he'll be stoned, or maybe both) or will Hardy and HHH wrestle 1 on 1 to determine a real top contender?
-
Zorin, did you ever finish watching all the Bond movies? How about some thoughts on the Craig films? Personally I still can't make up my mind whether to put Casino Royale in my top 5 or not. It might come in at #5, or I might keep another Connery in there. I do share the enjoyment of the Moore era, at least his better outings. Even stuff like Moonraker is silly escapist fun. I swear it seems like Drax thinks of every way under the sun to kill Bond and none of it works at all, haha.
-
The Browns probably should have given Anderson the rest of this year, then gone to Quinn full time next year. Here's something to ponder about the Patriots: Is it 100% surefire that we'll see Cassel moved instead of Brady? Belichick isn't exactly a sentimental sort, so if he thinks Brady's knee isn't going to ever be right again would he want Brady traded and then go with Cassel as his starter?
-
Mostly I was just interested in what they were doing on Nitro. For once someone did a mystery man angle that had a huge payoff to it that shocked people, yet made complete sense from a storyline perspective.

Getting back to McNabb for a minute, I was purely guessing Miami. I don't think he will have people begging him to grace their franchise with his presence though. He does remind me of Culpepper in a lot of ways, with his history of injuries and now looking essentially washed up. With McNabb also add in people now questioning his QB acumen due to the OT fiasco vs. the Bengals (not knowing a game can be a tie, etc.). If Pennington or Henne is the Miami QB of the future, McNabb won't go there. Do the Raiders bother with him, or do they stick with JaMarcus Russell? The Chiefs? They have Tyler Thigpen, who actually has put up some nice numbers. Kyle Orton has played well for the Bears, would they really want a burnt out McNabb? As far as the Ryan vs. Flacco debate goes, there really isn't one. Joe Flacco is in the typical Ravens QB role of "Don't screw this up, let the defense do most of the work." And a few times Flacco has been laughably bad, like the game with the Colts where he was horrid. From Day 1 Matt Ryan has looked like a legit NFL QB, and took over a team that was complete garbage to boot.

You know, the more I see of Flair on these shows the more of an asshole he seems like. If he disliked the Oklahoma character that's fine, but Flair gets entirely carried away with his utter hatred for guys like Hall and Nash. Having seen or heard some shoots with those guys they don't seem anywhere near as mean when it comes to discussing Flair. Quite honestly I don't even agree with a lot of what Flair had to say about those guys, like Hall was mostly lousy and Michaels had a great match with a ladder while he was in the ring, or Nash had zero talent (has Flair watched any of Nash's 1994-96 work?). Further, what is with Flair (and WWE in general really) ranting about guys leaving the WWF in the mid 90s and stabbing the company in the back. Didn't Flair do something similar to WCW in 1991 when he left with the title belt? I don't recall Hall, Nash, or Luger doing anything like that. At most, Luger just didn't give any notice but he hardly showed up in WCW while still under WWF contract. Hell, Hall was doing an angle where he was queer bait for Goldust in early 1996....can anyone blame the guy for having enough and wanting out? Nash had been jobbed out of the world title scene and largely had done what he was going to do, so a fresh setting was the best thing for him. People have opportunities, guys change promotions, it happens. Add to all of this Flair's off topic stories about his rampant infidelity and drunken road antics and he really comes off like a sad man.

1. How do you feel about the Dallas/Detroit tradition? How would you change it, if at all? I would keep both teams actually but make it the same game ever year and make it a real tradition. As in Lions vs. Packers every year, Cowboys vs. Redskins. Something like that. 2. Are there ten QBs in the league -right now- that you would take over Matt Ryan? If so, who? If not, does that blow your mind? Where do you rate him? Tough question, so let's see: --Peyton --Eli --Warner --Brees --Favre --Rivers (he's proven a bit more at this point) --Cutler (just won head to head over Ryan, but that's a tossup) So yeah, he's in the top 10 QBs. And should only get better from here. 3. Who is the best player in the AFC west? I'll go with Asomugha. 4. Where does Donovan McNabb play next season? This is tough, in fact there may not be that many teams wild about signing him. He might end up like Culpepper, sitting around until the phone rings. I'll say Miami in the end. 5. Why does Seattle suck so bad? No more Mack Strong~! Also, coach is a lame duck, injuries out the wazoo, and their time is simply up even in a bad division.
