Leatherface is just a crazy redneck anyway, he'd be no match for supernatrual guys like Freddy or Jason. Freddy should be involved here in some form though who would want to see him vs. Michael since he already got his ass kicked by Jason? Jason vs. Michael is two big no selling monsters, you gotta have one guy involved who can speak. I dunno.

I'm gonna be a bit different here and say the match they had on the Unforgiven PPV (last Sept....think it was Unforgiven) was the best. The RR match was great too, but it was a bit more formulaic in that Angle won as expected. Also the first few minutes of that match seemed a bit slower than the previous one. The Unforgiven match also had the brilliant spot with Benoit using his foot to push away the rope so Angle couldn't reach it, while in the crossface.

Yeah I did notice Hart's complete no sell on the leg injury, mainly because he did the Shawn kip up (oh the irony) RIGHT after getting hurt. I enjoyed his match with Juvi tonight though. Best match on the show.

I was about to say, why bring back Dutch? Predator 2 worked just fine with Danny Glover (even had a bit more suspense...there was never much doubt with Arnold). That said, the Rock vs. Predator would = money I think.

Heh, I got it despite looking in Maltin's book and it only getting *1/2. I gotta tell you, I had no idea about any of these plot twists. I seriously thought that they were meeting to discuss the Jake Busey character, so it took me totally off guard. Also I didn't see the ending coming at all, or maybe I sorta did but didn't really think about it. And yes I took a look at the "alternate" ending on the DVD and it seemed the same to me.

Pirates of the Caribbean has awesome staying power. Good to see Johnny Depp finally star in something that hits at the box office. Has anyone besides me noticed that the previews for Once Upon a Time in Mexico feature him more than Antonio Banderas....and it's an El Mariachi movie! With F vs. J I think most people who were eager to see already have. Hence the dive.

Okay, as much as I like Nirvana even I will admit that Kurt Cobain did nothing innovative on the guitar. He probably should be on the list as a nod to the band, but at somewhere like 80. Why has no one badmouthed the fact that Tony Iommi isn't higher than he is?

What is with the disdain for UT/Vince if that happens? It seems like a good idea to me. It will more than likely at least keep UT away from the title in a gimmick feud. SMDN does need a concept....that concept is CHEAT TO WIN~!

Dude, I actually got Monsters of Rock and Monster Ballads from amazon a while back. I think I got interested due to my brother's Vice City game and the goofy 80s rock station on there. I will defend the Monsters of Rock CD since some of that stuff is fun on a certain level. Monster Ballads sucks so much ass though. Aside from a decent Scorpions song (Wind of Change) and Warrant's Heaven (guilty pleasure of the highest order) it truly sucks. That Steelheart song on there I'll Never Let You Go is possibly the worst song I've ever heard. Incidentally why wasn't Rock You Like a Hurricane on Monsters of Rock???? What a glaring oversight.

But...but....there's no Eddie match!

Thing is, that crowd in El Paso was just INSANELY into Eddie. Cole tried briefly to do the Ross crap of denigrating his reaction (a la Jericho in Canada), stuff like "Gee, Eddie is grandstanding for his hometown fans." He quickly realized Eddie was getting such a huge pop that he stopped. None of the Canadians get this kind of response in Canada. Not since Bret anyway.

I've never cared much about Brock as either a heel or face. I don't actively dislike him, but more or less accepted his title push rather than outright enjoyed it. SMDN for the most part had its house in order this week. Decent talent was featured, Steph showed up to make a match and then left, so she wasn't overexposed. Don't sweat stuff like the A Train/Benoit match. I mean yeah Train's feet were under the ropes but hell we all know Benoit would beat him 9/10 times anyway.

They probably covered Michael Jackson but his popularity was over most of the 80s so it is hard to define in terms of one year or show. The 90s would be a very tough decade to do the silly wisecracks on. I mean, can you see Michael Ian Black doing his schtick with the OK City bombing? The Gulf War? Or in music stuff like Cobain blowing his brains out, Biggie and Tupac being shot, etc. It's not exactly a fun decade.

I don't think a Cena/Eddie feud will last till Survivor Series. I'm thinking it'll last maybe till the next SMDN PPV where Cena will win the US title (a good belt for him at this point). I'd move Eddie up to challenge Kurt at S. Series, and you know Eddie would be over as hell in Dallas. That place would go nuclear if he won the title.

Heh, would that RVD/Test match be for Stacy? If RVD wins he and Stacy can hang out and smoke weed.

I wouldn't. We all know UT would no sell everything Eddie does. I was interested that Eddie went to New Mexico...did he graduate or just go for a year or two and then quit to wrestle professionally?

Here's the thing I don't get: why the time constraints? I mean, once you get talked into seeing a movie that is insanely long, it doesn't matter if it is 3 hours or 3 1/2 hours. Especially considering the unedited version of FOTR was a lot better in terms of clearing up things I was confused about in the theatrical version. If ROTK is something like 4 hours long, they need an intermission for a piss break.

I've got no real problem with this if: 1. There is no title on the line here. 2. Vince gets buried.

I'm speaking of money matches assuming that GB wins the title. In that scenario the only one is with Kane.

Guys, Goldberg basically has to win the title at the next PPV unless they do another lame DQ finish (which I think would provoke lynchings in the arena). If not he is gone, which I can't see happening yet. And yes, GB/Kane is the only possible money match Raw has. Eddie vs. Kurt for the title in Dallas would be great. World champion Eddie? Please god let it happen.

Jarrett didn't even wrestle or cut a promo, just made a couple of saves. I don't see how that is overexposing him. The show was pretty good this week, but god they need to cut this bullshit with people running in on EVERY MATCH. I mean, half the time it wasn't even needed. D'Lo could have jobbed without a Trinity run in. Abyss and Kash could have done their dissention in the back and not had it be in the match itself. Lynn could have just been distracted enough by Callis being around that he lost, no need for security guys. Think about how much more impact the run ins on the main event would have had if all the other matches didn't have a run in. That was a hell of a good match I thought. Tag match was good too, but of course we had the Disco run in. I even said going in "Simon and Swinger could get over big if they win here WITHOUT a Disco run in."

I'm likely giving spoilers and asking for more spoilers here, so be warned. Okay, I got the DVD the other day of the Two Towers. Now, after seeing the Return of the King preview on there I had one major question. Is Sauron ever going to gain a physical form and show up? Since Saruman was basically defeated at the end of TTT I doubt Christopher Lee will have much to do in ROTK, so now all the heel heat shifts to Sauron. You know, the guy who is a vague force that isn't even in human form. Does anyone see how this might be a problem? I might read all of these books someday but for now I don't want to know everything as to not spoil all of the movie. But seriously, does Sauron reveal himself?

O'Haire is so buried at this point it's not even funny. This UT/Vince thing is fine with me as long as it doesn't involve the title at any time. Keep it the fuck away from everyone in this feud and it'll be a decent diversion.

The thing I don't quite get about UT beating Brock is that 1. Big Show was there to do the job (much like at Vengeance). 2. They already established that Brock > UT last year with the HIAC match, and this completely undermines it. I don't mind a mini push for UT for the moment. I'm fairly sure he isn't winning the title, just giving him a little push to keep him quiet. After that though, SMDN needs a whole new appraisal of the title scene. Brock hasn't drawn, Show obviously won't ever draw, UT is old. Time to flush out the main event scene and push some guys like Cena or Eddie.

You have to wonder, if GB can get these storylines changed why did he job at SS in such foolish fashion?
