Austin kept stunning the Rock through out the whole feud, and boom, the Rock hit the Stunner on Austin just before Mania. Great feud!

I was actually going to start a thread about that look Austin gives himself in the mirror. I think it is so awesome on so many levels. First of all, it foreshadows the upcoming heel turn later on the match. Second of all, it shows Austin at odds with himself, as he wants to win the WWF title in his homestate at the biggest stage of them all, but might not be 100% (still coming off the neck injury). It's a simple look in the mirror, but it is well done in establishing and developing Austin's character at that time...

Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle at Mania 21....the last 5 minutes was gold. Uncensored 1997. the nWo wins the match, they pose, Sting beats the shit out of everything moving, massive pop. (Side note, anyone know where I can grab this clip?)

Who cares? Any star that gets big in ECW will just move up to the WWE roster just like before. It's going to be a feeder federation...

Michael Cole was actually pretty good calling Eddie's title win at No Way Out 2004. His cheering on of Eddie near/at the finish was tremendous. Vince McMahon calling the Austin/Hart Street Fight at WrestleMania 13 was pretty amazing.

12/29/03 Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels ****1/4 was the only other good one on one match these two produced. It was on a Raw episode.

Has Meltz ever read any of this, and if so, what does he think about this writing piece? This is damn good literature, but is it all factual?

There was something odd about Orton jobbing at Mania to Rey. It didn't seem like a storyline thing at all when I watched the show...

Eventually a WrestleMania main event will happen again so no feud is truly blown off. But there has to be a proper amount of time before two wrestlers can wrestle again and the match not feel like it is a continuation of a feud. I would say the proper amount of time needed for this is at least six months. What do you guys think?

Mania 21 HHH/Cena extended Mania 20 Triple Threat extended Mania 19 the feud continued later Mania 18 extended Mania X7 doesn't really count because the match was the next night and it was continued down the road Mania 2000 extended Mania 15 extended Mania 14 blown off Mania 14 was the last true blow off main event...wow

Not necessarily. The story of the feud led to Rey pinning Orton, and if he had done something by that point, would they have announced that he was the number one contender for Smackdown on friday? They are going to take him off of TV so why not job him again? They did the same thing last year when Batista pinned Orton the Raw after WrestleMania 21. I don't think they jobbed him for storyline purposes at all. He messed up, they couldn't pull him from the advertised Mania match so they jobbed him.

Isn't WrestleMania supposed to be the blow off show of all blow off shows? Why are all these feuds extending for?

This card won't sell out right away, but I am sure it will sell out. This isn't 1995 or anything like that. The WWE is still drawing well, and 2003 sold out even though 2002 was a horribly booked year (and the company name change to boot!)

Bret's legacy is that of a total package. He could cut a promo, and have a great match with just about everyone. He is a tremendous seller, and young workers should watch tapes of how great this guy sells stuff. My two favorite Bret Hart sell jobs When Luger hit him with a fake bat on Nitro, Bret sold it like gold. People were wondering if he really got hit with a real bat. And when Michaels superkicked him into the wheelchair on Raw.

At least it did better than Joey....
