Isn't Venis married to Edge's sister? Wouldn't Edge have a word with him first before Ace?

I swiped it from the Death Valley Driver move list because the guy asked what it was, if you want to get into the semantics of executing the move Shawn Michaels style ccompared to Saito's, go ahead.

Suplex, Salto Used by : Mr. Saito, Shawn Michaels AKA : Tear Drop Suplex(Michaels) Description : Attacker stands behind and to the side of the victim. The attacker waistlocks the victim with one arm and hooks one of their legs with the other. The attacker lifts the opponent up onto their shoulder and then falls backwards.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

It's not like Awesome really had much of a choice. I do know that he was scared shitless about Tazz shooting on him I think Awesome was more afraid of New Jack in the back than Tazz in the ring. As I remember it, Awesome signed to WCW, Paul let him go on the condition the ECW title was shown on WCW TV, Awesome went back to do the job and turned up with WCW security, went to the ring and avoided the locker room lynching, did the job, walked right out and drove off with security in tow. RVD summarised the situation in an interview with Power Slam magazine. -

So people are fucking all around you and all you do is have a beer and go home with your buddies? How queer are you? -
Diaz wants to go into the LW Grand Prix and cut to 160lbs. I reckon "Buscape" and Gomi would give him problems.

"Basic Instinct" WM 21 Commercial

Hurricane and Victoria in a Superman/Lois Lane spoof would work. They had him as reporter Gregory Helms before switching to Hurricane before, so why not? Kurt Angle as Luthor could be funny. -
Randy has came along way since those fights. I can see him getting subbed (apparently Penn got him in sparring when he visited TQ) but only by a top level sub guy with strength to also counterwrestle him like Arona, not by Chuck. Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell I'll got with Randy. -Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg Hughes by decision or sub or Trigg by KO. I'll say Hughes. -Matt Lindland vs. Travis Lutter I'll go with Lutter. Phantom punches aside, he apparently has solid boxing and a very good ground game. Lindland could give him the same treatment as Falaniko Vitale or more recently Mark Weir with either a methodical attack or TKO stoppage, but I am pulling for Lutter all the same. -Georges St. Pierre vs. Jason Miller Miller has some crazy subs, decent stand up and good GnP, but Pierre is just a force. St Pierre by TKO/KO. -Lee Murray vs. Patrick Cote I think Cote will take this one if he can keep his chin down. He has good power in his hands and a better groundgame than Lee. -Trevor Prangley vs. Ivan Salaverry I'll go with Prangley by KO. -Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs. Travis Wiuff I hope Babalu wins by sub. -Mike Van Arsdale vs. John Marsh I hope Van Arsdale does well and wins.

To be fair, I think you misused "underutilized". Lots of political punk and hardcore groups use the medium a lot, they just don't got ink in XXL and MTV coverage. You might want to take your own advice.

Seen him twice (Hammersmith Apollo, Brixton Academy). I like "Are You The One That I've Been Waiting For?", "Stagger Lee", "Red Right Hand", "Hiding All Away", "Straight To You", "Babe I'm On Fire", "Babe I Got You Bad", "There Is A Light", "Do You Love Me?", "The Mercy Seat", "Loverman", "Stranger Than Kindess", "The Weeping Song", "Nobody's Baby Now" "Tupelo" "Deanna" and "Into My Arms". I also have "Red Right Hand Part 2" on MP3, not sure of it's origin. He also does a pretty menacing cover of Screaming Jay Hawkins' "I Put A Spell On You" also. And there are plenty of diss tracks outside of rap. "Fuck Earth Crisis" and "Medio-Core" spring to mind.

They sell well and are British. If it wasn't for the fact they are in the studio, I can imagine Lostprophets on the bill instead of them. So, could be worse. I might go to the Urban Music Festival this year.

Chuck was a BJJ purple belt when he last faced Chuck. Most purple belts are solid if not extraordinary on the ground, Nick Diaz showed that against Karo Parisyan. Randy smashed Vitor and Vitor is a BJJ black belt who has trained with the BTT, the Viera Brothers, the Gracies, Fabiano Iha, Frank Mir, Hermes Franca.. the list goes on. However dubious some may believe that belt of his is, he surely can't be that bad if he is hanging with those guys on the mat. Now, if Vitor couldn't do it in their last fight, I can't see Chuck pulling a sub on Randy and locking it. TQ guys all have excellent sub defense (Leben, Hendo, Randy, Schultz) and have hung with black belts before (Laimon and Doerkson, Bustamante and Arona, Vitor, Gil Castillo respectively) so even with Bravo assisting Chuck's sub game it shouldn't make much difference. It'll either be a Chuck KO or a Randy TKO or decision. I am leaning towards it going Randy's way.

Nice. She looks better when she's not smiling like the Joker.

If he makes their Legends action figure line twice, he deserves a spot in the HOF. Hogan, Savage and Warrior should all make the HOF if only because of their infamous reputations.

I've must have had dozens of busted lips in my lifetime, but never any that warranted stitches, generally just week - ten days or so for it to be totally gone. Then again, maybe I am just negligent and full of machismo. I remember when Taker almost lost an ear because of Austin's kneebrace... maybe Trish had a similar situation with Victoria on a kneelift or something. -
Loss, if this makes any sense, it was a good match by current WWE standards but by the standard set by past Benoit/Jericho matches, it fell short. If they'd switched the times on the Jericho/Benoit and Akio/London match then things might have been better paced. Even under the time constraints though, they've managed to have decent matches before (I recall a RAW where Jericho ran the gauntlet with his IC belt and lost to Benoit in his last match of the night and the match to my recollection was solid). As good as Jericho vs Benoit matches can be, they've set themselves some lofty targets to try and equal which may not even be possible given neither are in the same condition or have the same drive as they did 4-5 years ago. Also, maybe it's just me, but does no one else find it sad that 5 years later they are feuding these same guys over again, however this time round neither is going to gain anything from it? No wonder buyrates are down, who wants to see the same matches with the same guys they did half a decade ago?

UFC 51: SUPER SATURDAY~!
cameron chaos replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in General Wrestling
I though Couture/Liddel was better than Tito/Liddel. if only because one was much more competitive and went past the first round. All in all, a solid show. Buentello's KO was a highlight reel classic, Tanner's crazy hobo style smashed through Terell's technical subgame, Baroni is hopefully gone, Arlovski won in a quick and decisive manner and I look forward to when and if Mir and Arlovski hit the ground in their future fight. Ortiz vs Belfort was tense at times, boring at others. Tito does know how to keep his career afloat, that's for sure. I felt Belfort won, but hopefully he will come back from this more determined. Considering how up and down things have been for him (sister going missing, winning the title on a TKO, losing the belt in such a brutal fashion, losing in the judges eyes against Tito despite his best efforts) some time out may be what he needs. Irvin vs Kyle was a good KO but Kyle's attitude pisses me off. I was disappointed to see Karo/Lytle not on the PPV card but I guess I'll have to try get a hold of that some other way. -
The difference there was, correct me if I am wrong, Benoit applied the crossface the same way (hands clutched together) but the clutch was across the throat. On Raw, it looked more like a side headlock with a trapped arm than the Crippler Crossface or even the choke variation you mentioned.

She'll probably get it anyway. Depends on how long is left on her contract really, if Vince considers her worth the investment. -
Brock's terms were allegedly for a Ric Flair style schedule of 10 dates a month, the same salary as when he left ($1.5M downside contract) and assurances he would be pushed in the same manner as he was before he left. The WWE felt these demands were "unreasonable" given the way he left and his physical condition and in ring abilities when compared to Flair. As such, conversations quickly ended. I personally think if Brock signed the agreement, he should be held to it. He wanted to go play football but didn't have the skills so has came back to the market where he made the most money. His own arrogance in regards to his football abilities, wrestling drawing power and foolishness in business has doomed him financially and gave the WWE no desire to rehire him in a rush. He turned his back on the very people that allowed him to afford two houses and a private jet as well as meet his girlfriend, worldwide television exposure, to travel the world and the platform to create such interest so when he left for the NFL, it was a big deal in both the wrestling and pro sports world. Now he comes back because he failed and his back account is decreasing. WWE doesn't want him back but own him for the rest of the decade regardless, all because he thought he was NFL quality and was wrong. Maybe I'm being an asshole, but something about that kind of arrogant short sighted attitude coming back to bite someone in the ass makes me smile. Remember the reports of his refusal to sign wrestling merchandise and promo photos of him because "That part of my life is over"? Funny how now he consider it's his career.

One chick with a fucked up mouth disappears in Amy Weber, Trish takes her spot. Talk about a clue chipper. Also, considering Vince pays for implants, I'm sure he'll cover the costs of the cosmetic surgery for his top female wrestler. So what exactly did Victoria do to cause such an injury? -
As I said above, it's possible the headlock variant of the crossface was used as Yuji Nagata has used it before and the Japanese fans are more familiar with that variation than Benoit's. Either that or Malenko really does need to show Benoit how to do the move properly. RRR, I think that omoplata Benoit stumbled into out of the crossface in the TO match is as close as we'll get to seeing a legit submission (if we don't count the crap armbars some use and screwy toehold Angle does). The way Benoit had the arm trapped to finish was cranking the arm in an Americana of sorts so take some consolation in that.
-
It was interesting seeing Benoit doing the Nagata version of the crossface rather than his own, perhaps as the Japanese crowd are more familiar with it, and then to finish a screwy shoulderlock with his legs rather than locking the arm out straight for the crossface. I can't tell if it was to ephasise Benoit having to modify his moveset or simply the fact he really can't put on his own finisher correctly anymore (God knows how many times Jericho or Edge have had to keep their hands on the mat next to his legs because he can't remember to trap the arm... it just looks bad). It had some nice spots and psychology thrown in but otherwise was uneven and sloppy at without enough time to develop. Considering the matches they have had in the past and the uneven booking both have been receiving as of late, I really can't find myself excited to watch them clash again in a feud when they've done much better stuff elsewhere as well as before in the WWE, before they got jaded and their movesets evaporated. I'm all for decent matches, but I am also for fresh matches and feuds that weren't much better 5 years ago, before the talent involved got restricted by injuries and company policies.

Are you tired of evil teens baking you cookies?
cameron chaos replied to BUTT's topic in General Chat
What a cunt. Taking teenagers to court for baking you cookies. She is surprised people have reacted to her cuntish ways so fiercely yet remains seemingly oblivious? When a whole town hates you, shouldn't you be able to understand why? -
When Austin was on Nash Bridges he got a spin off series offered to him. If he'd taken their offer and it had went well Austin might be in a better position to claim the title as most mainstream wrestler. As is Hogan is the biggest name of all time, Rock is currently the most mainstream, and Austin was responsible for the late 90s wrestling boom that indeed made wrestling popular, but never put him ahead as a genuine A list celebrity in the mainstream, drawing fans to wrestling rather than putting his celebrity status to use to get into other mediums (aside from the TV spots on Nash Bridges, but then Bret, Lita, Undertaker, Nash have all had similar appearances on shows). that's what puts Austin further down. He's a Flair, Hart or Thesz rather than Hogan or Rock: no doubt a big name to wrestling fans that could draw, but a genuine star not to the general media.
