    Let's Talk About...

Agreed that he was one trick pony, but that was all he needed. He was given an opportunity and he made the most of it. He didn't want to do the Savage job because he knew it meant the end of his money making run. He said that he did the Warrior job because they approached him and asked him how he wanted to do it and he appreciated that. I could watch his shoots all day. The Face Off one with him and Raven is awesome.

    The Shoot Interview Thread

Just got several shoots in from RF.... Bryan Clark-DUD Not very good at all. Some good tidbits but overall just very nondescript. He didn't hold back on anything, but just not that interesting. The Godwinns-***3/4 Dennis Knight carried most of it as Canterbury seems like kind of a quiet guy, but really cool stuff. Dennis Knight is hilarious and both of them are great to listen to. You can tell they really care about the business. Some great WWF stories. Shane Douglas '98-**1/2 Not bad, as Shane is very eloquent and knowledgeable about the business. But the shoot was less about his career as it was his opinions on the wrestling business. I expected him to be much more opinionated, but overall a thumbs up. This took place at the height of the Monday Night Wars and it was interesting to hear opinions about where the Big Three were headed at that time. Kurt Angle-**3/4 Very interesting to hear his stories about his Olympic training and his years as a college wrestler. He is somewhat long winded which is good but he's also very serious which made the interview drag at times. The WWF years were well covered, but not the most captivating of shoots and a bit disappointing. ________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________ Other recommendations: Steve Blackman (RF, 2008) Steve is a very interesting guy who came up in the 80s, making his way to Calgary, Japan, and later the WWF. His story about surviving a tour of South Africa is unbelievable. Some good stories about Owen Hart and the Stampede guys, Vader, and his martial arts background. Tom Brandi (RF, 2006) Very, very good as Brandi is very entertaining and engaging. Awesome WWF stories and really interesting to hear his stories from the indy scene. Al Snow (RF, 2008) Fucking great.
  4. I just went through hell getting rid of several trojans. All appears to be well except that IE, when you double click the icon, will flash for a split second, then the window closes and disappears. I downloaded and ran HijackThis, which I have never used before and don't really know anything about. The log is posted below. Anyone have any ideas? For the record, the virus consisted of some bullshit "AntiSpywareXP 2009" program and also a rootkit. PS- Wondered this for a while..why are there so many instances of "svchost?" Thanks. Internet Explorer won't launch

Yeah, I ended up getting rid of that with some scanner I downloaded. Although, it still appears in the list of startup programs (it is unchecked, though) along with AntiSpywareXP 2009. There is no file path displayed for brastk, it just says "brastk.exe." For Antispyware2009 however, it says it is in Program Files, even though it no longer is. How can I remove them from the startup list? EDIT: There's also a "cisvc.exe" process that comes on at startup and uses 98% CPU, slowing down the system to a crawl. I keep killing it via the task manager and running a search and deleting all instances of it, but it keeps coming back. Some sites say it is a legit Windows process, but others said otherwise, which I tend to believe. And Andrew, thanks, I sorted out the problem with IE. I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it for whatever reason. It did not affect Windows Explorer.

$7.25 in Kotzebue, wherever the fuck that is. Obviously an out of the way area, but FUCK. www.alaskagasprices.com
  8. Really any episode ever of Jakked/Metal. Edit 10/25: Just noticed the thread was for PPV matches. Whoops.

Brutus Beefcake knocks up super model?

Yes. Was the Furface name attached to that gimmick too? I don't believe he was ever referred to by any name. Those were just names fans gave to the gimmick.
  10. I noticed that also, but I remember thinking that was the correct way (with "Vader Time" in the back) and being confused when he switched it for the first time.

    WWF Survivor Series 1992

That may have been because I don't recall them doing much of anything in late '93 and into '94. In Rick's shoot, he said they later left because they weren't making even close to what Vince said they would make. I believe their last appearance on TV was when Scott lost a KOTR qualifying match to IRS in May of '94.

    Gas Price Check...

Yep, all because of what's going on with the financial markets. Things will get worse before they get better, but for some reason, I'm optimistic. And mostly, the reason for the huge run-up today was because the October futures contracts were expiring at the end of the trading day and everyone wanted to get in before the price peaked. Now, the November contracts are trading at around $109. Obviously it could go much higher but what happened today was largely irrational. $3.51-$3.65 here.
  13. Five years later, but....Simmons' reign was in '92, the "Big Gold Belt" era was not until late '93.

    shoot interviews

In Road Dogg's, he says that someone (can't remember if it was him) opened Mark Henry's meatball sub, replaced the meatballs with shit, and watched him take two bites. Jim Neidhart tells a story of being in Louisiana and coming through the curtain only to be punched in the face by some redneck. He made it to the ring and told Butch Reed that he'd find the guy after the match, claiming it was "some son a of a bitch with a straw hat and overalls." He then looks around the ring and EVERYONE has on a hat and overalls. Tom Brandi tells a great story of how him and Owen Hart used to get free food, shirts, and hats from Planet Hollywood by calling up prior to going in and pretending to be the event coordinator for the WWF. The Planet Hollywood people would be so excited at the prospect of Austin, Rock etc. showing up but of course it would only be Owen and Brandi. I love shoots.

Comparing The Brian Kendrick to Mitch Hedberg

TBK can't tell you what hotel he's staying at, but there are two trees involved.

    Ric Flair getting divorced (again)

It's actually $15,000. Sorry to get off track, but does anyone know what the going rate generally is for shoots? (RF, etc.?) I always wondered if it was a one time payoff or if they get a cut of the sales (unlikely).

    Many guys released

He also had a pretty good match on Wrestling Challenge with Shawn Michaels. It was treated as a 'feature' match too and went for probably 10 minutes.

    Gas Price Check...

$3.99 at most places. The lowest I've seen is $3.79 in NH.
  19. Fail. Yeah, I know. Someone did that to my computer in a programming class in high school. They also made it play a LOUD sound clip on startup that said "I'M LOOKING AT GAY PORN!!."
  20. Set his homepage to a big picture of a cock.
  21. Well, you would probably need quite a few CD-Rs. Even with ZIP or RAR compression it would be kind of impractical if you have a very large amount of songs/pictures/whatever. If you don't have a DVD burner, either pick one up (very cheap) or get yourself a USB hard drive (little more $$). I don't know how much stuff you're talking about but some type of external hard drive would be the easiest and best I'd say.
  22. What exactly do you do at Enterprise? My buddy works for them and I've considered applying for a job with them myself. But I'm not a salesman and I don't like performance based work. I've read through their website, but I'd love hear from someone who actually works there. Thanks.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

I work at a full service station and naturally I only do it if someone is paying cash. But a guy I work with does it regardless. I've told/asked him a couple of times about it and he just shrugs. FUCKKKKKKKK!
