Jesus, that was a little extreme.

    Brock Lesnar Returning to WWE

At least we can all agree on that the creative team will likely be too incompetent to come up with something good for him anyway.

WWE Main Eventer Leaving After SummerSlam

From WWE.com Y2J not going anywhere July 28, 2005 Chris Jericho wants to set the record straight. With various outside sources reporting that Jericho has yet to sign a contract extension with WWE, the former undisputed champion made sure to contact WWE.com and denounce those reports. “I signed an extension on Monday in Cleveland at Gund Arena,” Jericho said. “I’ve been working with WWE for six years and I’m not going anywhere.” Jericho, who didn’t want to disclose specifics regarding the contract, signed a short-term extension this week and said a longer extension is likely still in the works. Jericho still has big plans for his band Fozzy, but doesn’t expect his musical career to interfere with his job as a wrestler. “Fozzy isn’t a factor at all,” Jericho said. “Things with the band are going great and WWE has been really positive with Fozzy. We have some great opportunities overseas with the band, but none of that is going to hinder my time with WWE.” “I’m still an employee of WWE,” Jericho said. “My contract had expired but I’m back and looking toward the future.”

    Smackdown Spoilers

If this U.S. title situation does lead to fatal four way at Summerslam Christian has to win in. He needs a championship more than practically anyone on the Smackdown roster let alone in the other three guys.

The Guy You Like Who Actually Sucks

Add Sid to the list for me. Now that I think about, I believe that Sid is one of the few guys to ever have real bulletproof heat. No matter how goofy he acted or what foolish he looked the crowd always was into him and one could easily see him as a badass again. Rick Steiner Disco Inferno (didn't really suck, was just average most of the time) Sean Stasiak Jim Neidhart Hugh Morrus

Its like a reverse Dreamer-Raven feud with the payoff (in theory) being the heel winning.

Not bad, even if it does screw over those who ordered GAB to see the secret revealed.

    Smackdown plans for Summerslam

One could easily put in Juvi against London and stick the other two Mexicools in the tag match to make it a three way. At the very least it would provide a decent spot fest (that is if its Nova/Stevie as the bWo team).

    Smackdown plans for Summerslam

They just don't interact that well, ring or mic wise. JBL is spouting off the same "wrestling god" stuff he's done with half of his feuds and Batista's best excuse for hating JBL is that he is "a loudmouth and a bully", which isn't exactly convincing from a guy who a year earlier was taking part in 3 on 1 beatdowns with two guys who were just as if not bigger loudmouths than Bradshaw. Hell even Cena-JBL had a clear rich man-common man theme that was easy to get into. This has nothing. I don't know why I'm supposed to care about this feud and evidently they're not good in the ring together thus I have little interest watching it.

    Smackdown plans for Summerslam

I myself am wondering what the hell the Smackdown undercard is going to be. There is no point to continuing Guerrero/Mysterio at this point, Benoit isn't U.S. champion and its doubtful they know what to do with the likes of Jordan, Christian, Regal, and Booker at his point.

Except for the main event triple threat I have no idea what Summerslam on the Smackdown side is going to be as tonight's match results really threw off my predictions for upcoming feuds.

    OAO Great American Bash Thread

Interesting (and sad) fact. All the new Draft Lottery picks for Smackdown lost on this PPV (except for Orton who was injured anyway).

Well, here are Wade Keller's ratings: MNM-Heidenreich/Animal: 3/4* Christian-Booker: **1/2 Jordan-Benoit: 1/2* Undertaker-Hassan: 3/4* bWo-Mexicools: * Rey-Eddie: *** Melina-Torrie: n/a Batista-JBL: *1/2 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well if those are accurate I see what everyone's so pissed about then. I am pleasantly surprised to see Christian and Booker having the second best match of the night so congrats to them I guess.

I sense Booker/Christian, Mexicools/BWO, Melina/Torrie didn't hold much weight. I didn't see the PPV but it seems more that it just contained too many poor booking decisions rather than terrible matches, the Main Event and the T & A fest aside.

    OAO Great American Bash Thread

World Championship Batista © vs. John Bradshaw Layfield Dave wins leading to either vs. Taker or vs. Taker vs Orton at Summerslam. WWE Tag Team Championship MNM © vs. Road Warrior Animal & Heidenreich Animal is a novelty act. LOD 2.0 dominates but MNM cheat to win. U.S. Championship Orlando Jordan © vs. Chris Benoit Benoit if they care about the U.S. title at all. Hopefully Benoit-Regal or Benoit-JBL at Summerslam. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio. If Eddie wins, he will tell Rey's "secret". If he loses, he will never reveal it. Eddie cannot afford to lose again. Guerrero wins, reveals the secret leading to the blowoff with Rey at SS. Number One Contender Match The Undertaker vs. Muhammad Hassan Taker wins in a squash in a special "foregone conclusion" match. Bra & Panties Match Special Referee: Candice Michelle Melina vs. Torrie Wilson Eh, Torrie never loses, though with Kidman gone it could easily go the other way via Candice turn. Booker T vs. Christian Toughest one to call as Booker has been beat down, but Christian looks to be getting a push. Booker wins, but get's attacked by Christian afterwards. The Mexicools vs. The BWO A loss won't hurt the Blue World Order, and Juvi's feuding with London anyway.

    UPN Bans Hassan Permanently

With Hassan gone I wouldn't be surprised to see one of these matches at Summerslam: Batista vs. Orton vs. Taker. or Batista vs. Taker with Orton as guest ref and they play up how he hates both guys. Chance they might throw JBL in there for the former.
