I can't. I have one guy out with a kidney transplant and a woman out with neck surgery. It's gonna be rough for a month or two.

You need to find a copy of From Star Wars to Jedi. Lucas reveals so much hypocrisy in that video. This is my favorite line: Lucas: One of the fatal mistakes that almost all science fiction films make is that they spend so much time on the settings and creating the environment...that they spend film time on it. And you don't have to spend too much film time to create an environment. What they're doing is showing off the amount of the work they've...generated. And it slows the pace of the film down; the story is not the setting. The story is the the story, it's the plot. Don't the prequels resemble those remarks?

I'm posting now how incredible the novelization is. After I see the movie, I will be posting how the directing, acting and writing ruined what could have been a good movie.

Besides, I have to work at least until Saturday. I go in at 14:30, so there is no way I can see it. Sunday would be the earliest, unless they add it to the schedule and I have to work. Whatever. I am reading the book.

What does political affiliation have anything to do with it? It's not like people are going to be starting partisan debates in their stormtrooper uniforms. Besides, don't you live in Northern California? You'd pretty much have to deal with mostly liberals anywhere you go, it'd seem... No, I moved to northwest Arkansas almost seven years ago, and it's more liberal than where I lived in California. The bay area = liberal. The valley and farmlands in Cali = conservative. California is not the liberal bastion that some think it is. Check out a county breakdown of the 2004 elections. And I was just joking...some of my best friends are lib whackjobs. The real reason I will wait is because I am in no rush to see it after being turned off by the prior two prequel movies. It'll be there in a week or two. Some of these people act like it's a "one day only" thing. Plus, it'll give me time to finish the novelization, which thus far I've only been reading on the shitter.

I'm sure no one would complain if you stayed home and waited until Jesus returns and sets up a flat tax. Jesus already returned. The Minuteman Project left the border a month or so ago...

Let's not let personal dislike of certain individuals get in the way of fairness when it comes to judging the usefulness of said individuals. And to elevate your point...TSM is just one site. The web has a bunch of others.

I will wait a few weeks to see it, just to avoid the annoying liberals who seem to flock to events such as Star Wars movie debuts...

Dooku thought Anakin was the first in a "Sith Army" meant to replace the Jedi. I wonder how much dialogue between Anakin and Palpatine from the book makes it into the movie. Consider the possibility that the promise of a "Sith Army" was a lie to rationalize why Dooku would go along with Sidious's manipulations of Anakin. (Sidious also only wanted to recruit Luke to replace Vader...but went along with the idea that Luke would be a powerful ally. Vader proposed the idea of recruiting Luke as an ally, but really wanted them to team up and overthrow Sidious.) Obviously, Sidious had no reason to want a Sith Army of potential rivals to his power. It isn't a possibility...it's the way it is. The Sith did away with "armies" for a reason.

WWE "Greatest Stars of the 80's" DVD

Those matches are IN ADDITION TO what's on the cover. Fucking better be. WWE could release Savage/Steamboat by itself with no extras and charge $34.95 and I'd still buy it. The only other place I know of this being released was on a WCW Greatest Matches tape from 1999 or 2000 (the other 3 matches on the tape were Hogan vs. Sting, a Cactus Jack vs. Vader, and the NWO match from the 96 Bash). The premise of the tape was the fans voted on the matches via the internet. And they voted for Sting vs. Hogan. Soak that in, folks. Which Flair vs. Steamboat matches are on the Flair DVD? I haven't watched it in a while.

There are approximately three years between ANH and ESB. There is one year between the beginning of ESB and the beginning of ROTJ. Bespin was VERY close to the Anoat system -- closer than Proxima Centauri to Sol -- but even using the hyperdrive "backup," it tooks six months to make the trip, which is respectable.

    Wrestling Games

Okay, I haven't played a video game in a year or so. The best wrestling game that I have ever played was No Mercy. I liked the CAW and all that. Now, tell me which game is the best overall. I mean CAW, storylines, playablility, but not so much graphics. I'm not one of those graphics guys. I own a Gamecube and an X-Box. Which game should I buy?

    The Case for the Empire

This guy needs to make his mind up. He says movies only, but where in the movies did we hear about the Empire cracking down on Hutt smuggling? The conversation between Han and Greedo in ANH? Who's to say that the Republic didn't police this, as well? In fact, the Empire works with Jabba through a third party in ESB. Also, the end of the article suggests that the writer knows some of EU, as after Palpatine died, many Imperial Moffs and Admirals carved out their own little kingdoms. That, or he used logic to come to this conclusion. I wrote something similar last year about the Clone Wars. Check it out: http://geocities.com/realsithsquadron/rtc4.html

    DEY TOOK AR SOSHUL SEKERRATY~!!!1!

People at work live ten to an apartment and eat rice and beans so they can send every last cent back to Mexico/El Salvador/Honduras/etc. There is a lot of money being plucked from our economy to begin with, and if SS funds start funneling south, too, well...that's not good.

And aside from its entirely human ranks, the tone in Piett's voice is the only evidence that the Imperial anti-alien bias in EU also applies to canon. Well, at least until now, as evidenced in the ROTS novelization.
