Batman w/ Episode III running a close second.

I still think Desmond and Walt are on the opposite sides of things.

I'm pretty sure fall is my favorite season.
Lord of The Curry replied to The Czech Republic's topic in General Chat
Fall is a precussor to winter, which equals snow. Fuck fall for it's lead-in bullshit. -
JJ has said (or so the 'net says) that the big reveal for the hatch will come this Tuesday. Coincidence that it's Locke III? I hope the fuck not. Walkabout and Deus Ex Machina provided two of our best "Oh shit son!" moments of Season One.

Even if SJ isn't tops on accuracy of theories he's definetly the most inventive person in this thread so I thank him for that. I was talking to a friend last night who said she thinks that the "him" that Desmond is referring to is quite obviously Hurley because of his numbers connection.
-
Meh. That's about it. THE GOOD - Interesting scenario with the computer and the numbers. What's the flip clock counting down to? Why does Desmond know the numbers but needs Locke to punch them in? Seemed he didn't know how to use it judging by the tones he was using which lends a bit more credibility to the theory that the opening of last weeks episode was indeed a flashback when Desmond clearly punched them in correctly. - The fact that Jin made it away from The Others. Good for you. - Kate eating the chocolate. - The out of focus shot of The Others at the end. NOT SO GREAT - Michael needed that flashback like The Leafs need another loss. - The extended stuff from last week felt too out of place, the only interesting stuff was with Locke and Desmond. - No Sayid. He needs to, like, do something. Soon. I'm not going to overreact to this episode like some are (not just on this board) but I will say that they've got some serious explaining to do because it would suck to see the questions bury the rest of the shows content.

Worse, I'd say. At least thhhis fad was done in mockery of HHH. The Kennedy shit is just another version of online fellatio.

People repeating Kennedy's catchphrase is the worst fad to hit this board in quite some time.

THe OAO Last Raw on Spike TV Thread (09.26.05)

Sorry but this OJ/Booker/Christian feud is top level priority stuff here. 'Sides, once Benoit jobs the title he'll be free to become Kennedy's bitch. -
My bets are on the following: T-Bag, Warden, Bellick or Sucre.
-
Curious about Desmond saying "Are you him?" to Locke. Who is Desmond expecting?

I'd put Savage vs Warrior up against any HHH match, ever. Just sayin'. -

The younger LA one has nice buckets too, in case ya'll haven't noticed. -
"Adrift" With the abduction of Walt fresh on their minds and their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin fight for their lives and discover a new predator in the roiling ocean. Meanwhile on land, Locke must descend into the hatch when one castaway goes missing inside. credit: ABC.com Me and Rudo are @ the Interpol show tonight so you'll have to do without us. I think Michael bites the bullet tonight. DISCUSS~!

THE GOOD - The Bransen Girls. Oh my Jesus yes. - "One, two, three, Black Family!" *hands are thrown into the air like they just don't care* - Louisiana jailbait causes a Category 5 sidepipe. - The Frats. "The one in the pigtails?" - The horrifically accidental but awesome hilariousness that was The Christians getting into the buggy accident. THE BAD - NYC. Goddamn I hate them. - While one of the girls wears pink shorts I find myself loathing The Christians and their Mountain Dew Right Guard Tony Hawk Extreme Son. -
G Spot rocks the G Spot. I'm all over this.

Still not as good as his Pre-WMVI promo on Hogan but decent nonetheless. -
The Greatest Cancelled TV Shows of this decade
Lord of The Curry posted a topic in Television & Film
We're over halfway through this decade so it's a not-terrible time to be discussing something like this. What shows from 2000-on got canned and deserved better? Now, I don't want to use the phrase "too smart for it's time" because that would imply that you need to be super-intelligent to get into this show. You don't. You do, however, need an open mind. For people who enjoy having everything spelled out for them- stay the fuck away. This is not one of those shows. You need to assume that things have happened before you watch it and that the actions of the past have affected what you're watching in the present. The show itself followed a group of carnival acts touring the southwestern United States during the 1940's or as the tag line on the back of the DVD set said "The last great age of magic". Magic is real as the sun and the air on this show, it's treated with religious reverence and is a very important factor. The story follows the carnival as it picks up a young man named Ben Hawkins just as Ben is burying his mother who has recently passed away. Ben has been blessed/cursed with "the gift" which, more or less pertains to his ability to heal people. But this gift comes with a price. Depending on the severity of what Ben needs to heal he must take life away from something around him. He takes a man whose arm he has (indirectly) broken into a lake and heals the arm. Everything seems fine until all the fish in the lake float to the surface, dead. The rest of the season focuses on Ben's relationship with the carnivals resident psychic, a blind man named Lodz who has a history of violence that not too many in the carnival know about. Lodz was a member of The Knights Templar and is acting on behalf of "Management", the mysterious figure who lives behind the curtain in the head office. Why is Management so interested? We'll probably never find out the whole story, sadly. I'd put the first season of this show on par with any debut season of any show this decade. The story is ridiculously rich, the characters are among the weirdest and most interesting I've ever seen and the entire thing plays out beautifully up the season finale which is (no offense meant to Lost) the greatest first season finale I've ever seen and probably ever will see. RIP Carnivale. Lament your losses here. -
If the brand split ends we'd see the simultaneous destruction of Cena and Batista, considering that HHH, Angle, Michaels and Taker all have pull above them and would be vying for the top spots/feuds in the newly formed WWE.

Yeah, seriously. But I predict that the kids will kill any chance of this show being good. -
Batista and Cena being crowned world champions due to popular demand. The HHHIAC Streak finally ending. HHH off TV for a nice 3 months after jobbing 3 PPVs in a row. The WWE Championship being the main focus of WWE Programming once again Chris Jericho maineventing a PPV. Angle Vs. Michaels and Orton Vs. The Undertaker at WM 21 Hogan Vs. Michaels Ken Kennedy Eddie Guerrero finally beating Rey Mysterio and ending easily the worst angle this year so far Matt Hardy being rehired Ric Flair winning the IC title (?) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ya know, HHH once jobbed on PPV three times in a row a long time ago to a lil Canadian fella they called Chris Benoit. Jericho ME'ing a PPV means dick-all and didn't help Jericho. Kennedy is the most overrated thing to hit the 'net since God knows when. Eddy beat Rey. Holy shit, that's never happened before. Hogan vs Michaels was good for what it was but lost 90% of it's heat when they shook hands at the end. Proof is in the crowd reaction. Yeah! They rehired Matt! Yeah! And now he's going to be banished to Smackdown to job to Ken Kennedy and Bobby Lashley! Whoooooo! And the supposed "wrestling title" is around the waist of one of the worst workers on their rosters and easily the worst champion they have right now. Cena, Batista, Benoit, Nunzio and yes even the fucking Road Warriors are better then this old horse. Time for the glue factory, Ric. I can only pray that the reformation of Evolution happens and he sticks to managing.

For the record, I dug the shit out of Triumph mocking the shit out of the Frogs. But I've got love for Mount Royal because of it's lovely gentlemens establishments, bars and womens.
-
So, uh, yeah. That episode was the shit. And goddamns do I love me some John Abruzzi. When T-Bag was going to shout out "We're gonna break" and he shushed him I marked the fuck out. Peter Storemare has some really intense eyes and he works it to the max with this character. Awesome scene between Billick and T-Bag when Billick revealed his past and then T-Bag just got crazier and began tearing at the screen. I'm wondering who (if anybody) will save Lincoln's ass next week. Odds that other attorney guy dies when they go to Washington next week?
-
Probably so. I don't think you like MMA though so unless you can disprove that I'm not going to even bother trying to explain it.
