I'll take this oppurtunity to pimp Broken Social Scene. They're a "collective" out of Toronto with each member being inolved in one (or two or three) different side-projects. I hesitate to use the term "band" to describe them as they're in constant rotation, concert-wise and recording-wise. Their 2002 album You Forgot It In People was basically made because everybody in the group felt the need to branch away from everything that they were doing at the time and just make an album full of fun pop songs. The result is probably like nothing you've ever heard before, sound-wise. This is one of those CD's that you can listen to day and night for a month and think you've memorized it until two weeks later when you hear something different. DL's - Almost Crimes - KC Accidental - Looks just like the sun - Stars and Sons. If any of these appeal to you then you owe it to yourself to check the album out.
