I had no problem until he came along and fucked with Benjamin.
-
SummerSlam is really going to expose him in terms of crowd reaction. I fear for that match because Benjamin, as good as he is, will not be able to keep the crowd interested for any length of time.
-
I'd be offended if you didn't. But you should check their stuff out regardless.
-
Funny that you mention his genetics because on RAW JR mentioned how somebody with Carlito's history wouldn't get himself DQ'd like that. When the fuck did they ever on-camera bring up Carlito's family history? JR was saying it like it was a known fact.

Let me know when you start lactating.

I'd probably put him up there as one of the worst in-ring guys the company has currently. His mic work is solid but overrated to shit.
-
He looks like he pissed off Vader

His "I can take this fist and create more hits then the last Fozzy album" line to Jericho is one of the best lines of the year. An RVD/Benjamin feud would present interesting paralells between the two. RVD came up the hard way through ECW and FMW and had to take every oppurtunity given to him to make himself. Grew up in a good home in a middle-class community and is pretty much well-liked by everybody. Benjamins life is a reverse parallel. He grew up in the hood, roughing it and trying to find a way out which he did through athletics. Became an amateur wrestler and was given a golden oppurtunity by the WWE via Team Angle. Is as serious as it gets when it comes to in-ring wrestlers. I like the whole "RVD is a chilled-out spot guy" vs "Shelton is a serious wrestler" dynamic but I even more like the fact that they could put the feud over with both guys being as dangerous as the other.

He's not great. Fuck, he's not even good. The most positive thing I can say about the guy is that I've laughed at his mic work occasionally.
-
He's a lost cause. I think a hooker is the drastic measure needed to get him away from this estrogen-fest.
-
I'm not doubting the goodness of this movie but those execs are out of their fucking mind to think that Serenity could touch Star Wars numbers.

It'll basically be Hulkamanics vs Pseudo-Smarks who think Michaels is still the best and the backup team of young females. The Psuedo-Smarks will look past Montreal and hate on Hogan for all the WWE/WCW "holding down" and the girls will cheer because they're sheep.
-
The problem is, a LOT of fans have wanted to see Hogan get what's coming to him for some time now. Couple that with the whoreish shilling of Hogan Knows Best and we could see a reversal of fortune here.

Tenanbaums has one of the more weirdly emotional moments for me at the end of it when Stiller looks at Hackman all choked up and says "I've had a rough year, dad."
-
I would have no problem with a Shelton/RVD tag team, leading to one of them (most likely Benjy) turning heel and feuding over the IC title.
-
Why? Oh, right, because Heyman said that's what they'd work.
-
Like he deserved this for witnessing a weed buy.
-
How overrated will the Benoit/Eddy match be? I'm saying it'll be a ** match with people going as high as ****.
-
Maybe it was 11:59 and during that time period it passed over into tommorow.
-
Tenanbaums is his masterpiece.

Which DVD's have the best commentaries?
Lord of The Curry replied to Dandy's topic in Television & Film
On the special features disc of The Incredibles there is a cartoon called "Mr. Incredible and Friends" and you can watch the episode with commentary by Frozone and Mr. Incredible. Craig T. Nelson and Samuel L. Jackson fucking work the hell out of it, especially Jackson. -
It's pointless seeing as how the show is starting in 20 mins. but a "We want wrestling" chant during the Diva Search would warm my heart.
-
Booker vs Benoit at the Great American Bash 98 is a damn fine match.

Matt Hardy backstage at RAW tonight
Lord of The Curry replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
He's still pretty tiny compared to most. He went from being a spot-based character to cruiserweight champ to jobbing to Zack Gowan. The question at this point is whether or not fans will buy into him as a wrestler. If he is going to get a substansial push I'd expect a moveset cut and a weak pace to "tell a story". Edge being a recent example of this, even though he isn't as good as Matt. -
Are they on sale yet? Cause if so they're probably sold out.
