I rewatched Cena vs Taker from Vengence last year and found it to be way better then I remember it. Taker gave Cena as much as he's given anybody in a while.

No, it's bullshit because if they had cared at all about properly doing this angle and presenting Hassan in a neutral light they wouldn't have slapped him with such a blatantly stereotypical gimmick.

Well, the whole "WWE is a racist company" thingy kinda debunks it. Dangerous A makes it clear for us all.

Cena is such an anomily because his match against Benoit showed that he could get it done more importantly that he "got it" when it came to telling a good story through ringwork, mannerisms and selling. And, while I know that it's Benoit, I think that it was all Cena in that match when it came to making himself look god.

Glenn Close will probably get the Shield's only nod, which sucks considering that Anderson and Goggins both deserve nominations. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anderson did well enough but I still consider Armadillo to be the best heel they've ever had on that show with Margos Dasarian a close second.

I'm pleasantly surprised about this, they haven't put this much effort into any angle, shoot or work that I can recall in a while.

There is one certainty regarding Hassan: There is no positive way for this angle to end. It'll take a lot of bad press for WWE to release Hassan or at least take him off TV but they'd do it. This isn't like a JBL situation where the wrestler was the champ and had connections, this is an OVW kid in over his head with an angle that can't possibly lead to bigger things for him.

Yeah, no matter what race you are you can still be sloppy, suck AND be mysteriously over despite it.

JR treated Hassan fairly for maybe a week or two before he let loose his infamous "Love it or leave it line" which basically encompassed everything that is wrong with this angle in one neat lil package. Ross told everybody in one fell swoop "Fuck this guys opinions, he either agrees with us and loves the USA or we alienate and ostracize him".

So I'm guessing we get a main next week of Benoit/Batista vs JBL/Jordan. I'll be shocked if we don't.

Hassan's voice cracks way too much when he's trying to get "angry" or "serious" thus ruining any sense of menace he could convey.

Not so sure about that. I'd say AD takes a more open mind to enjoy then Seinfeld did.

I'd be curious to know how all the Canucks on this board feel after the shit w/ London. It's now down to us and Italy on Al-Queda's shit list. It's not something I sweat a lot but I feel more prepared in the sense that when something like this does happen (and it will) it won't be so much of a surprise. A shock when it goes down, yes, but not a surprise. I should probably have just put "Ontarians" because I can't see the attacks hitting anywhere else but that'd be rude.
